Even if you fancy yourself a pop culture expert, you might be surprised how easy it is to be fooled into thinking some ‘regular’ dude is a celebrity. That’s exactly what New York City’s Brett Cohen proved, when he pranked a bunch of people in Times Square.
It was simple really. Brett merely cleaned himself up, donned a nice suit and gathered an entourage that included security, photographers, bodyguards and two pushy assistant. While Brett was inside NBC Studios, his assistants and the paparazzi started creating a buzz outside. When asked who the celebrity was, they didn’t provide an answer. So the people outside were left to make something up or take a photo, hoping their Facebook friends could identify him. A crowd formed even before the fake celebrity emerged.
His brand new fans were convinced they knew who he was too — “He’s the guy with the single on the radio right?” “No, actually he’s the guy from Spider-Man, I know it.” They lined up for photos and followed him around the square.
It goes to show how easily we’re drawn into the crowd mentality — fantasizing over someone without really knowing who they are, just because everyone else is. Would you fall for it?

YouTube magician MagicofRahat is back at it again. A couple months back, he scared a bunch of drive thru employees by having a floating cup appear in his car. He was called every curse word in the book and even a “demon,” from one not-so-happy victim.
In his newest prank, he (somehow) attached a bug on each of the employee’s hands and later told them to take a look after they gave him his order. Mostly all of the employees let out a scream. It wasn’t just a small little insect either. It resembled more of a cockroach, so I don’t blame them. Near the end of the video, one of the employees recognizes the prankster. Looks like he’ll be needing to take his tricks to the other side of town because it’s getting old.

This isn’t the first time someone has dressed up as a zombie to scare innocent people, considering we just saw a viral prank that went down in Miami. Even though it’s totally wrong and funny to watch at the same time, these unsuspecting victims in Australia were just minding their own business at the park, riding their bike and taking a stroll.
I’d be pretty scared if someone came creeping up behind me making deathly noises! It gets even worse when the “zombie” is digging in on (an extremely real looking) human brain. EW. Do you think this whole “zombie apocalypse” is getting old?
