There’s nothing more exciting than a high-speed car chase. Unfotunately this one was cut short when some adorably slow ducklings and their mother crossed the path of Portland traffic officer Mark James. He was kind enough to get out of the cruiser and help the little ones along their merry way, but lost the speeder in the process. You’ll get ‘em next time, Mark! Thanks for being a friend of fowl.

This police officer spotted a speeding motorcyclist and wouldn’t give up the chase in a nearly four minute pursuit. It all started when the driver raced by the police officer, zigzagging between traffic. The officer put his siren on and managed to keep up, despite being in a less sleek vehicle.

Eventually the officer outwitted him by narrowing him into a corner. It took major perseverance to stay after this dude so we think the officer definitely earned a big bonus this year.
