‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Get Special Airport Treatment

MTV can’t have their golden tanned crew miss the VMAs in Los Angeles tomorrow, so the MTV execs have taken special steps to ensure their safe arrival.

With Hurricane Irene sweeping the East Coast, MTV chartered a private jet yesterday to get the cast to Los Angeles. TMZ reports the plane took Snooki, Vinny, Deena and Sammi to LAX.

The rest of the cast wasn’t on the East Coast, and would have no problems making it to the VMAs.

GTL lives on!

Soulja Boy Owes Uncle Sam Money

Soulja Boy is not starting his 21st year on a high note. First he was caught lying about buying a $55 Million jet, and now reports claim he owes money in back taxes.

Soulja Boy owes $26,805 in back taxes. He was also alleged to have owed the State of Mississippi $3,571 in back taxes, but settled that bill last month, reports RadarOnline.com.

However, even though he can’t pay his tax bill, he still threw a $300,000 birthday party for his friends in Miami.

Dude, stop lying about planes and start paying your bills.

Soulja Boy Lying About Buying $55 Million Plane

And Soulja Boy gets us again. First with his dumb music, and now he and his entourage were lying about him buying a $55 Million private plane.

Soulja was interviewed by TMZ and other outlets about this extravagant purchase, and every time he verified that he bought the plane. This lie was also spread through Soulja’s management team.

Now Soulja’s publicist has come forward saying the story is bogus. Greg Miller said the “elaborate rumors” are “not true.”

We are not sure what’s more of a douche move. Buying a $55 Million airplane in the first place, or lying about it and then getting caught. Unfortunately based on what we have seen with Soulja, we are not surprised about this elaborate lie.

Playboy Model’s Panic Attack on a Plane

Playboy model Tiffany Livingston got a little stir crazy last night while on a flight headed for Newark, New Jersey. Livingston allegedly suffered from a panic attack and, as far as passengers were concerned, attempted to open a door—which is pretty dangerous when the plane is flying at around 10,000 feet in the air.

TMZ has since determined that Livingston was only trying to stabilize herself during her panic attack, meaning the passengers who say they saw something different were likely just thinking of the worst.

Livingston was detained as soon as the incident took place, but was later released after law enforcement determined that she was not seriously in any sort of criminal trouble.

It would definitely be a little terrifying to think you see someone trying to open a door to escape a flight, though!

Tires on DJ AM/Travis Barker Plane Under-inflated

Federal officials have announced that the tires on the Learjet that crashed and killed four people, as well as injured Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and the late DJ AM, were under-inflated and played a part in the crash, according to TMZ.

Officials for the National Transportation Safety Board said the under-inflated tires seriously affected the plane’s ability to stop (it hurtled off a South Carolina runway and crashed).

The Board said that a tire ruptured during takeoff, but that the pilot had not been given training on tire failures and decided to reject the takeoff: a “practise that training discourages.”

However, in a lawsuit filed by the late DJ AM, he said that one or more of the tires blew during takeoff, and “rather than proceed to takeoff, [the pilots] decided to abort and/or reject the takeoff in a negligent manner.”

The estate of DJ AM eventually reached a settlement in the lawsuit, which was filed against companies such as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

Ashton and Demi’s Plane Emergency

Ashton Kutcher’s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Las Vegas Thursday, reports Perez Hilton. Shortly after a 1 p.m. takeoff, the aircraft began having engine trouble and returned to the ground about six minutes later.

“My plane just had to do an emergency landing,” Kutcher wrote on Twitter. “Engine over heated. Fire trucks everywhere. Good times.”

His wife, Demi, who was also aboard the plane, wrote on her Twitter: “Yep it is always an adventure in Vegas emergency landing all!”

After confirming he was “happy to be alive,” Kutcher invited his Twitter followers to a party at New York’s Turtle Bay Bar to promote his new movie Spread, which hits theatres August 14.
