Pink Supports Lady GaGa for Grammy Nomination

According to Perez Hilton, singer Pink made her opinion public on who should be awarded Grammy of the Year and she chose no other than the infamous Lady GaGa. Pink was quoted on Perez Hilton.com speaking only praise and admiration for the pop star.

“I think I’d have to go with Lady Gaga because she really, really just took over this year. She was everywhere. She’s fearless when it comes to fashion and videos and I think a lot of other people play it really safe. I think she’s been a total breath of fresh air. I love her videos. In some ways I think she’s the most interesting without seeming to try to hard since Madonna. I think I’m able to like her because I don’t see any of myself in her. And for a while, I think, after Missundaztood came out, it was like, “Oh, everybody wants to be a rock star now.” But with her, I don’t know, I think she’s marching to the beat of her own drum. And I really, really like that,” said Pink.

Lady Gaga, Green Day to Perform at Grammy Awards

It’s not over until the Gaga Lady sings.

Since Lady Gaga has swept the musical world with her kooky costumes and buggy eyes, it’s no shock that she has been announced to perform at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Among Gaga, other artists who the Grammys announced will be performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles include Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, Pink and the Zac Brown Band, reports rollingstone.com.

The new announcement of artists adds to an already stacked line-up including the likes of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Maxwell, the Black Eyed Peas, and Lady Antebellum.

With the addition of the new performers, the Grammy’s have promised that all five artists nominated for the Album of the Year award will perform at the show. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and the Black Eyed Peas all received nominations in this category. The Dave Matthews Band appearance has been speculated ever since the band was chosen for the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Neil Young over the Grammy weekend.

Rant ‘N Rave: Best/Worst of April

Lauren Conrad

Music artists and movie stars never fail to entertain me (however, I do get easily amused). Whether I laugh with them (or, in most cases, at them) or actually pity their heartaches and failures (which doesn’t happen often)—I always look forward to the next celebrity hook-up/screw-up.

And the month of April did not disappoint. Here are the five best and worst moments in pop culture that made me grateful that such somewhat petty life moments in my life aren’t publicized for the world:

BEST:

5) Pink Reunites with H(e)art:

One can’t help but assume the following:

a) Pink’s estranged husband Carey Hart decided to give his relationship another try after watching the boyfriend/husband torturing, knee-breaking video his wife created for her single ‘Please Don’t Leave Me.’

Or

b) Pink and Carey realized that they are meant to be with one another, at least for another year.

Either way, I’m happy.

Pink Comes Out

PinkIn a recent interview, Pink reveals what many people have thought for a long time.

According to perezhilton.com, the tough singer exclusively told the UK’s News of the World, “I’m not embarrassed about being bisexual. This is who I am. Love is pure and I try to keep it that way. This is who I am, what I feel. I think it’s unnecessary to draw the subject out, but I think it even more stupid not to discuss it. It seems as if bisexuality is a trend and I should whip up the masses. Well, I don’t believe in trends, I just believe in me.”

Two-time Grammy-winning American actress and singer/songwriter Pink (aka Alecia Beth Moore) has nothing to prove to the world. She has proven long ago that her she values her own opinion, and will let her voice be heard to the world. Coming out is only one of Pink’s many messages that she promotes to music-lovers and society.

Winners of the 15th Annual MTV Europe Music Awards

The MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool Thursday was a star-studded, special-effects saturated affair – and North American talent seemed to dominate – in fact Britney Spears took home two awards, for Album of the Year and Act of 2008, proving that the public’s love-hate relationship for Brit’s antics is strong and long-lasting. The only Brit winners were Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley (no word on whether he sang “Never Gonna Give You Up” upon receipt of his award).

And the winners Thursday were:

Album of the Year — Britney Spears, “Blackout”

Pink Is ‘So What’

Pink is ready to get the party started. Again.

The pink-haired songstress has announced plans to release a fifth, as-yet-untitled studio album on Oct. 28, reports E! News.

The debut single off the new album, “So What,” is due out in early August. The album will mark the first release of new music since calling it quits with husband Carey Hart earlier this year.

Born Alecia Moore, Pink is rejoining Max Martin and Dave Meyers on the new album. Both men worked with her on her previous release, “I’m Not Dead”, in 2006.

The video for “So What” will debut next month on MTV.

Pink’s Ex-Hubby: ‘I Miss Everything About Her’

Just because Carey Hart is no longer married to singer Pink, it doesn’t mean the motocross star doesn’t still miss her, reports People magazine.

“We talk all the time and try to stay connected as much as possible,” Hart told the entertainment magazine at the opening of his new Las Vegas club, Wasted Space, in the Hard Rock Hotel. “It’s a tough situation to be in but I love her to death.”

Hart also confessed that he still misses his ex: “I miss everything about her,” he says.

Hart and Pink married in 2006 but split this past February. Pink’s ex-hubby also said he is not ready to move on.

Pink Hits Out At Spears & Bush At Festival

American pop star PINK hit out at both troubled singer BRITNEY SPEARS and U.S. President GEORGE W. BUSH during her appearance at a British music festival on Sunday (19Aug07).

Pink – real name Alecia Moore – changed the lyrics of her song Don’t Let Me Get Me from “…tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears / She’s so pretty…” to “…tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears / She’s so crazy…”.

Later in her performance at the V Festival in Staffordshire, England, Pink played her track Dear Mr. President in front of images of Bush, explosions, soldiers and crying children.

Introducing the song, Pink told the crowd, “I want to get political for a second. Maybe after one year of playing this song, the world might be a better place.” (GES/WNWCNM/MEH)
