Pete Doherty was arrested early Saturday morning in Germany for smashing the back window of a car with a pint glass, reports Perez Hilton.
“Pete was drinking shots and constantly asking where to get cocaine,” said the bartender at Trinkteufel, the German word for Drink Devil, where the incident occurred.
Doherty was charged for property damage and then released.
On Thursday, Pete Doherty shocked Babyshambles and gossip lovers alike. He performed at the Europe MTV Music Awards, proving he actually has a job. And he actually looked clean.
That positive bit of news has quickly evaporated, as video surfaced on UK site The Sun, of Doherty shooting up just hours later.
In the camera phone video, Doherty is wearing the same clothes and wristband he wore home from the award show, where he joked about missing drugs.
He has been arrested numerous times for drug offences, but never had to serve time.
Former Libertine Pete Doherty is making his on-screen debut – as a cartoon.
An animated book about Doherty, “A Boy Called Pete” has been sold to the small-screen to made into a TV program. The book is one of a series created by Peter Robinson that follows the lives of pop icons including Britney Spears, Madonna, Eminem and Robbie Williams. Bringing the other cartoon stars to life is in the works as well.
“A Boy Called Pete” tells the story of a young man who “sings songs and wears hats,” enjoys “mind-bending drugs” and has a girlfriend named Kate.
“I don’t think anyone could read about the life of Pete Doherty and think doing drugs is a good thing,” said Robinson.
According to the writer, 1,000 copies of the book have been sold so far. An air date has not yet been announced.
Pete Doherty, druggie/rock-star/father-to-be, was let off easily when we went before a judge on Monday in Lodon, UK.
Doherty was in court on charges of possessing drugs, including heroin and cocaine, reports E! Online.
He was convicted on the charges, but wasn’t sentenced to any time in jail. Instead, Britain’s most loveable mess will have to pay a $1500 US fine and has been banned from driving for four months.
“I feel relieved,” he told reporters.
The court also overlooked Doherty’s drug-related arrest from last month, as he’s supposed to be keeping up good behaviour to avoid prison. He’s due to check in with a London police station later this month to determine whether or not he’ll face charges for that arrest.

The arrest came after Doherty was seen wildly driving his car near his London home, according to Billboard.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said Doherty was arrested along with two passengers. They have all been released while recovered substances are being analysed, but have been ordered to report back to the authorities in December.
Though Doherty recently went through a long stint in rehab, it has not seemed to help his addictions nor his behaviour. Just a couple weeks ago, Doherty was fined after assaulting a BBC reporter.

He apologized for his actions, but called the reporter a member of the “harassing scum of press.”
“People in public life have a responsibility to behave and be a good role model to others. Referring to the press as scum does no one any favours,” Judge Harold Skinner said to Doherty in his ruling.

According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, Doherty’s supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss is carrying the couple’s child. Additionally, the paper says that, despite their on-again off-again relationship, the two plan to wed.
“I have spoken to Pete twice about the baby and he has confirmed that Kate is pregnant,” the paper quoted Pete’s uncle as saying. “That is why they want to get married. Pete told me they want a baby together to cement their marriage.”
The couple has also reportedly picked names for the child: Charlie Butrose if it’s a boy, and Yayo Bumper for a girl.
Controversial musician Pete Doherty has finally gotten supermodel Kate Moss to accept a marriage proposal.
The 32-year-old runway star is said to have accepted Doherty’s latest attempt at engagement after being impressed with his efforts in battling drug addiction.
“She has always loved him but just needed him to straighten up,” a source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror. “Now there’s nothing to stop them marrying.”
The source said that the proposal took place last Wednesday, and that the couple plans to wed “within weeks.”
Doherty, the 27-year-old front-man for Babyshambles, is set to be released from rehab at London’s Priory clinic sometime on Monday or Tuesday.

Reuters reports that sentencing for Doherty on a number of drug offences was deferred by a magistrate on Monday. Doherty will now learn his fate on December 4.
On August 18, the Babyshambles front-man pleaded guilty to four charges of possessing class A narcotics (specifically heroin and cocaine) and one charge of marijuana possession.
The delay is meant to offer Doherty more time in a rehab clinic. He had been ordered to check in to the clinic as a condition of being released on bail.
He faces possible prison time of up to 6 months for the drug charges.
Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty announced in a London court on Thursday that he is planning surgery to have an anti-drug implant inserted into his body.
The Associated Press reports that Doherty, who was appearing for a review of his rehab progress, said he wants to have the surgery within two weeks.
This will be Doherty’s second shot at getting the implant; an attempt last month at a Portuguese rehab facility was unsuccessful.
The device works by chemically inhibiting the effects of opiates (such as those in heroin), and would help reduce Doherty’s drug dependence.
“You are going in the right direction. It’s not easy, especially in your circumstances. I appreciate that entirely,” said Judge Jane McIvor. “I think your concentration should be, within six months of the order, to get a negative test.”
Another court review of Doherty’s progress, including a drug test, is scheduled for September.
Babyshambles front-man Pete Doherty has been fined $1900 US after Swedish police found traces of cocaine in his blood following a performance by his band.
Police spokesman Ulf Karlsson said on Saturdy that the 27-year-old was detained after “he showed signs of being under the influence of narcotics,” reports the Associated Press.
Tests found traces of cocaine and the tranquilizer benzodiazepine in Doherty’s system; he had a prescription for the latter.
Doherty was fined and released, and won’t face further charges since no illegal drugs were in his possession.
The British group was playing as part of the Hultsfred music festival in southern Sweden.
