Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have a lot in common besides being major pop stars – they both come from families who had to battle hard times.
Selena recently revealed that when she and her family moved to Los Angeles, her first paycheque from “Wizards Of Waverly Place” went to pay the family’s rent.
She tells Access Hollywood, “I think (my first pay cheque) went into living (in Los Angeles) because we had to move from Texas, so I think we just had to pay for it.”
Now that was then and this is now. Do you think Selena is still covering her parents’ rent?
Marc Anthony deserves a huge alimony cheque if J.Lo is making this kind of money. The New York Post is reporting J.Lo is currently negotiating a pay raise from AI that is said to be worth $20 Million.
Now Steven Tyler wants a piece of the action. Although he is locked into a two-year deal, Steven thinks he deserves a pay hike as he was also crucial to the past season’s success.
“Steven is halfway through a two-year deal,” explained one source, “and his management has asked for more money. They argue he was just as sensational and as popular on the panel as Jennifer. But, on the other side, show bosses argue he’s tied into a deal and has to stick to it. However, it’s hoped they can come to a compromise to keep Steven happy, because the producers love him.”
Rockstars – it is never enough.
Love them or hate them (we would lean towards the hate them category), the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” know how to make a buck. After just a recent pay raise prior to their shooting in Italy for the fourth season, the cast has just received yet ANOTHER pay raise.
The fifth season will take place back in Seaside Heights, NJ, but the cast refused to participate without a major pay increase. TMZ reports that the entire cast has received a bump in salary, however there wasn’t a huge salary increase as they all hoped.
Either way, its money they don’t deserve. The douche bags win again!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Jersey Shore’s” The Situation is making millions of dollars. It is estimated that he will make $5 Million Dollars this year.
How does he do it? Well the man is diversified, that’s for sure. Here is how The Situation is making the big money:
- $60,000 per episode for “Jersey Shore”
- Roughly $1 Million in appearance fees
- Developing several products, including an “abcentric” workout video
- A six figure deal to promote a new vodka line
- Other endorsement deals
- Released a rap song on iTunes
Yes it’s somewhat sad this guy can make this kind of dough, but could be worse. Imagine if it was Snooki making this money? Then we would all jump off a cliff.
MTV is apparently in negotiations with “Jersey Shore’s” The Situation about a possible pay raise.
TMZ reports that the proposed deal will see the network give The Situation a one time bonus of $60,000-$80,000 depending on the ratings of Season 2.
But why would they give him a bonus if he is already signed up for season 2? Great question.
Turns out MTV plans to split up Season 2 — using the second half (Seaside Heights) for Season 3 — and they want Mike to sign on for a possible Season 4.
This also means that The Situation may earn $27,500 – $45,000 an episode for Season 4.
Is it possible The Situation and his rock hard abs are that key to the success of “Jersey Shore?” And we have a feeling that the rest of the “Jersey” cast are going to have a problem with MTV playing favorites. We sense another Jersey brawl coming.
