Bring on Downton Diddy.
It’s true, Downton Abbey has casted it’s very first black character and it’s the one and only Sean Combs, or as he is more commonly known, P. Diddy, Puff Daddy or whatever he wants to be called these days.
In a Funny or Die exclusive, the rapper and producer announced the “news” that he is in fact the face of Downton Abbey‘s first black character. He even provided some exclusive footage from the show. Funny, it doesn’t even seem like they know he is there! Be careful Diddy, no one calls out The Dowager Countess (played by the perpetually bad ass Maggie Smith). I’d watch your back at Downton if I were you.
While this might be a spoof, it is hysterical and worth the watch. No one can deny the power of a good Downton Abbey satire. Remember when Colin Mochrie, Matt Doyle and Jeremy Jordan did a musical satire? Priceless.
As seen on everyone’s Twitter and Facebook feeds, Dove’s Real Beauty Sketches campaign shows how women are their own worst critics when it comes to their appearance.
And while the ad has garnered some polarizing results on whether or not it is empowering to females, this parody over here shows that 94% of men think they are above average as opposed to the 4% of women around the world who consider themselves beautiful.
But believe it or not, men MIGHT just be uglier than they think.
SamMacaroni‘s parody ”Star Wars VII – Return of the Empire” brilliantly incorporates classic Disney-isms into the Star Wars universe. It’s appropriate enough considering Disney’s highly controversial move to buy Lucasfilms, Star Wars’ production company.
In this parody, Darth Vader has a high-pitched Mickey Mouse-esque voice with complimentary ears, Wall-E is best friends with R2D2, and Luke Skywalker looks like Zac Efron circa High School Musical. There are also several characters who have been put through the Disney factory and are now animated and well, cute! But bringing Disney into the Star Wars world doesn’t mean everything family friendly. Marconi turns Yoda into a club kid.
“Star Wars VII – Return of the Empire” stars Macaroni and fellow YouTubers Timothy Delaghetto, ShayCarl, Ed Bassmaster, Liz Katz and Alex Farnham.
P.S. Am I the only one who thinks R2D2 kind of resembles a Dalek from Doctor Who?

Gollum impersonator Ian Walters (Ijameswalters) is back with a new cover. This time, his Gollum covers Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” with (what we assume) is a couple more dollars from Buzzfeed who hosted the video. Walters finally leaves his room to scale some rocks and sing in a cave, just like the real Gollum would be.
When The Onion released this video two years ago, it was satire. It was poking fun at the idea that a rapist could ever be considered a victim.
In the video, the “news report” sympathizes with the athlete as friends claim “he’s an athlete firstly and no amount of raping can change that.”
Two years later, we’ve stopped laughing at how idiotic the Onion’s video sounds.
Its eerie how The Onion pretty much predicted the fallout of the Steubenville, Ohio rape trial where two football players were found guilty for raping a drunk 16-year-old girl last summer. The story went viral after the teenage boys and their friends practically bragged about the whole ordeal online.
After the decision was released on Sunday, a disgusting amount of online commenters blamed the victim for ruining the teenagers’ “bright and promising” futures. Those commenters should’ve instead acknowledged that the two boys actually ruined their own lives and the victim’s life with their lack of morals and serious lapse of judgement. Get a grip on reality. Please.
Considering the Onion’s video was meant to be a joke, it’s disgusting to think that our society has yet to come to a place where everyone regards vilifying the victim as wrong.
Let’s get this straight: no means no. Silence means no. Drunk means no. It’s not the victim’s fault when they say no or can’t say no. Get it? Got it? Good.

I may or may not be counting the days until the third season of Game of Thrones premieres (20 more days) and I may or may not have started to re-watch all the episodes with the books at hand. So yeah, I’m totally going to be excited for anything GoT related, like this new YouTube series that puts Westeros back into high school.
So far, everything seems so spot on:
- Starks as hipsters
- Baratheons as total assholes
- Greyjoys as the speedo-clad swim team
- and Daenerys Targaryen as the new girl
The power politics also play out every well in the new high school setting as the houses (or cliques) vie for prom king and queen (“Prom is coming…). Sounds like a hilarious parody to me!
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for A Very Potter Musical‘s Joey Richter (a.k.a. the other Ron Weasley) as speedo-wearing Greyjoy! Yes. Weasley is our king!
As fans of site, we have to admit that Tumblr is indeed a really weird place. It’s like fans of just about any community — be it cats, One Direction, Doctor Who, pr0n—naturally gravitate to to the site. We can blog or reblog for days just about anything and everything. Is it cute? Reblog? Funny? Reblog. Social activism in blog form? Reblog.
But just in case you’re still clueless as to the oddity that happens on Tumblr, College Humor basically hit it on the head with this diddy. Watch as your Tumblr dashboard gets animated and sings just about everything that happens on Tumblr.
Are you ironic? Do you have a beard? Are you wearing mom jeans that you got at a basement vintage shop with your little sister’s old T-shirt? If so, talk to your doctor. You might have “Hipster.”
Hipster affects people between 16 and 35 and comes with many worrisome symptoms including scarf-wearing, vinyl and buying fair trade. There’s hope for you: Unpretentiousil. The medication will prevent you from your incessant need to not look, act and feel like everyone else.
The hilarity of this parody commercial is brought to you by crdschurch.
If you look really closely at this BadLipReading of the 2013 Inauguration, you can tell that Beyonce is lip syncing. That’s the running joke of the channel’s newest video, which takes on Barack Obama during the commencement of his new term as President. Read more…
The Overly Attached Girlfriend, aka Laina, dedicated a self-written song to Taylor Swift, which is to the backbeat of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.”
As we all know, Taylor and 1D’s Harry Styles (Haylor) split up last week (sad face). Considering how many relationships Taylor has ended in her short lifetime you gotta wonder, is SHE the problem?
Laina sings: “Taylor you’re a cool girl don’t get me wrong/ I know you put your whole heart into every song/ But how many pictures will burn till you finally learn/ Taylor Swift, maybe you’re delusional/ If you break up and you hit rock bottom/ Maybe the faults are yours and song won’t solve them.”
I know Laina is a pretty cray fangirl and all (or so she’d like us to believe) but she makes sense… Do you agree with her?

When you’re watching the big football game, sometimes you might wonder what the players, coaches and referees are actually saying to one another. Luckily, BadLipReading has cleared the whole thing up for us, dubbing over their conversations with completely fictitious yet hilarious dialogue.
I’m not even into the NFL but I think the YouTubers have topped themselves with this one. Previously, they took on The Hunger Games, Twilight and the presidential debate.
It has only been a couple days since Haylor reportedly broke up, but one singer has already made light of the split with a new “unreleased breakup song” called “I’m Alright.” Of course, it’s not actually Taylor Swift but it sure sounds like her. In the song she sings about calling it quites with Harry Styles:
“Those green eyes/ And that contagious smile/ and those lips and the way they verbalize/ You looked at me and smiled/ Everything was perfect/ Everything was great/ I was on a fairytale/ It’s a dream while I’m awake.”
She goes into spending time with him in New York City and revelling in his smile as he sang to screaming girls on stage. The actual singer is15-year-old Jersey Green and you can find her on SoundCloud.

It was only a matter of time for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ hit “Thrift Shop” to get its very own parody. SteveBerkeComedy‘s “Pot Shop” parody is all about hitting up your local dealer for some $20 weed. Written and performed by Steve Berke, featuring Sexy Sax Man, Towelie, and David King Cain, the parody is topical as well as hilarious.
Along with consulting opthamologist Linda Kaplan about the use of medical marijuana for glaucoma they go into the corruption of the pharmaceutical industry and the government.
The best part is the ending because a very special rapper (you know WHO) makes a surprise appearance in the video. Do you think pot should be legalized?

It was only a matter of time before Tangerine Kitty’s “Dumb Ways to Die” got a zombie parody. TeddieFilms put together this hilarious parody of AMC’s The Walking Dead starring your favourite characters. Rick, Michonne and Carl all share the dumbest ways to die in a zombie-infected apocalyptic world.
Some of the ways include cutting off a leg to avoid infection and getting into fights with rival groups. The message was brought to you by those poor, brain dead “Walkers” you see roaming the grounds in the TV show.
This isn’t the first parody of the Australian PSA. So far, “Dumb Way to Die” also has an adorable Mars Rover, real life and video game edition.

Christmas sweatz aren’t just for lonely men sitting at home watching infomercials or old people knitting a new faux collar. NAH, they’re for every mother fruit cake.
This year, Christmas sweatz are all about colour blocking. Do you have green sweatz? Does your friend have red? Good, now flip those sweatz around and you’ve got festive Christmas sweatz that are so sick you could get arrested!
This “Christmas Sweatz” parody was posted on YouTube today by Internetainers RhettandLink and it quickly started trending. The song is even available to purchase on iTunes. Are you wearing Christmas sweatz this year? It’s the most comfortable way to spend the holiday season… and most definitely, the most fashionable.

Screen Junkies finally took on one of the most requested titles for their Honest Trailer series, nerd bible The Lord of the Rings. The team sat through each movie AND the extended footage to pluck out the best scenes in honour of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.
The movie, which employed an entire nation, ended up being a very expensive tourism commercial, showcasing hills and mountains by having the characters walk, stroll, hike and galavant across epic landscapes. Then there are the endless endings — seriously, they go on FOREVER.
Previously, they’ve done trailers for The Hunger Games, Paranormal Activity, The Avengers and Prometheus. What do you want to see them take on next?
I’m bracing myself for all the parodies that are starting to come from the Metro safety song “Dumb Ways to Die,” but hopeful that it won’t get to “Call Me Maybe” or “Gangnam Style” levels. The PSA by Tangerine Kitty recently got an adorable Mars Rover edition and a real life edition. Now someone made a video game version.
The song relates some of the worst ways to die in video games, whether it’s triggering an alien attack or your teammate being an ass. The parody, by Megasteakman, replaces the animation in the original video with dancing video game characters.
What do you think is the dumbest way to die in a video game?

Some One Direction fans dealt with their conflicting emotions over Taylor Swift dating Harry Styles by writing song lyrics and singing about it. While many fans are prematurely supporting the blossoming romance (which might be nothing more than a friendship), others are already shipping “Haylor.”
It’s ironic that fans would deal with their grief through song, considering that’s how Taylor sorts through her emotions too. One of those heartbroken Directioners, named ashcollete, uploaded a hilarious parody of “Trouble” called “The Haylor Song.”
Of course, the whole thing is just for fun but I imagine some girls are feeling this troubled about the whole affair.

CollegeHumor ripped on Nickelback with their parody of “Photograph” called “Look at this Instagram,” which makes fun of the Instagram photos you want to remember and the the song you want to forget.
I’m pretty tired of people posting photos of every single mundane street sign and sidewalk smudge they see — as though putting a filter on it makes it deep and artsy. Thankfully, this song is kind of like aversion therapy. Now all your good thoughts of Instagram will be associated with Nickelback’s highly mockable song and CollegeHumor’s awesome parody.

While I love Tangerine Kitty’s song about Metro safety called “Dumb Ways To Die,” it’s slightly depressing to be reminded that by going outside you’re basically walking into a death trap of a world. Comparatively, this parody by LaughPong is slightly more optimistic. Titled “Cool Things To Find,” it goes through all the interesting discoveries NASA could come across with the Mars Rover.
Curious discoveries include Amelia Earhart’s fate, a friend that hugs your face and martian methane.
