It looks like Sean Penn’s previously pending paparazzi case is closed almost a year after the incident took place.

Penn plead no contest to vandalism after kicking a photographer in the knee, apparently giving the paparazzo a serious joint injury.  The actor got 36 months probation and 300 hours of community service, along with being required to pay an undisclosed sum of money.

Moral of the story: not even Sean Penn can get away with an occasional knee-kick every now and then.

Both sides have signed the required documents and the case is officially closed.

Hollywood justice has been served.

Did anyone even know Owen Wilson had a brother other than Luke? Did anyone even know he had a brother Luke?

Just kidding.

Owen and Andrew (the other brother) Wilson are currently the target of a negligence lawsuit filed by a Los Angeles paparazzo, E! Online.com reports.

The photographer claims he was banged up after Andrew shoved him on a staircase while he was trying to get a picture of the director’s much more famous little brother.

According to the complaint filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, paparazzo Clint Brewer was climbing the stairs when Andrew pushed him in the back.

Due to Andrew’s reportedly “willful, wonton and malicious conduct,” Brewer “became terrified, and suffered severe and extreme mental and emotional distress.”

“Mr. Brewer is looking for compensation for the injury to his wrist after being pushed by Andrew Wilson,” Brewer’s attorney, Jeffrey Molchan, told E! News. “I guess Andrew didn’t want him to take any pictures and pushed him down.”

Andrew was employed by his brother Owen at the time, making the Hollywood A-lister just as liable, the suit claims.

Brewer is seeking $3,251 in medical expenses as well as $500,ooo in general damages. A hearing is scheduled to take place on July 13. Wilson reps have so far not given comment on the incident.

Shutterbug Josh Levine has sued Woody Harrelson for $2.5 million, claiming the Oscar-nominated actor injured him both physically and emotionally, reports E! News.

Levine claims that he suffered those injuries after Harrelson “roughed up” the photographer two years ago outside a Hollywood club.

Back in June 2006, Levine was working for TMZ.com when he called out to Harrelson near the intersection of Las Palmas Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. Levine alleges that Harrelson approached the paparazzo and broke his camera, choked him and shoved the camera into his ribs.

Originally, Levine sued the actor for assault and battery but dropped his case last year.

Edwin Merrino stands accused of stalking pregnant Jaime Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge. Spears’ family filed a complaint against the paparazzo, stating the shutterbug would not leave the couple alone.

Merrino denies harassing the couple, telling the press that he was at least 200 feet away from Spears and Aldridge when he was caught while trying to take a picture of them using a telephoto lens.

“I just think since I was the only one there, it was just easier for them to single me out,” says Merrino. “The one picture I got was kind of by luck. I got lucky when I saw them at Wal-Mart when I was buying deodorant.”

Merrino is scheduled to appear in court June 8th. Jaime Lynn Spears is expected to give birth to her first child toward the end of June or in early July.
