Just when you thought the CRAY-revolution was fading away – Kanye West and Jay-Z’s anthemic tune is back with an inevitable mash-up with the visuals from “Midnight In Paris.”
In case you haven’t seen it (WHY?!), Woody Allen’s Oscar-nominated film stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Marion Cotillard as they encounter some of France’s most popular artistic circles that include the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Salvador Dali and F. Scott Fitzgerald. So basically – instead of going back in time like the movie suggests, they’re going back to the future with the iconic rap duo.
It works much better than you’d expect with the exquisite Marion Cotillard eager to be married at the malllllllllll.
Did anyone even know Owen Wilson had a brother other than Luke? Did anyone even know he had a brother Luke?
Just kidding.
Owen and Andrew (the other brother) Wilson are currently the target of a negligence lawsuit filed by a Los Angeles paparazzo, E! Online.com reports.
The photographer claims he was banged up after Andrew shoved him on a staircase while he was trying to get a picture of the director’s much more famous little brother.
According to the complaint filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, paparazzo Clint Brewer was climbing the stairs when Andrew pushed him in the back.
On-again, off-again couple Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have split again—less than two months after rekindling their romance in Miami.
A friend of Wilson’s says the break-up was not amicable: “It was a pretty bad break-up,” says the friend. “Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn’t want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him.”
Just last week, rumours circulated that the couple was engaged but Hudson’s rep was quick to deny the claims. Although the couple has had a rocky relationship, Hudson has always admitted to caring for Owen and has previously said: “Owen is such a lovely person, and I love him dearly. I wish him beautiful things – health and everything that he desires in life.” The pair’s last split in June was said to have caused Owen’s suicide attempt in August.
The pair began dating after meeting on the set of the romantic comedy “You, Me and Dupree.”
Want to make out with Kate Hudson? Well, she’d love to. But her son may be in your way.
Hudson told the UK Sunday Times that she wants to “find that 18-year-old in me again, who was way more adventurous when it came to kissing boys. I would love nothing more than to have a good, honest make out sesh, but I find it really hard because I’m a mom.”
Hudson also said that she wants to have more children. “I can’t wait to have more. I’m at that place when I’m ready to have another one and Chris [Robinson, her ex-husband] and I are not together. I’m like, ‘Oh no! Uh-oh! I’m ready.’ ”
For the moment it appears that Hudson is back together with beau Owen Wilson.
Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson are definitely back together.
People magazine reports that the blonde lovers spent Easter weekend in Miami together with Hudson’s son, Ryder.
The couple took Ryder and another young boy out for a holiday bike ride. “They looked like a family on an afternoon outing, taking advantage of the balmy weather and doing some errands,” an eyewitness told the magazine.
This is a further implication that Wilson is getting back on his feet after attempting suicide in August. He began filming “Marley & Me” yesterday.
Owen Wilson is getting his life back on track, following a suicide attempt in August.
OK! Magazine reports that Wilson will begin filming “Marley and Me” next month in Miami. Co-starring Jennifer Aniston, the film is the adaptation of the memoirs of John Grogan. According to IMdB.com, Wilson and Aniston’s characters will learn “important life lessons from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog.”
While healing, Wilson dropped out of the Ben Stiller film “Tropic Thunder,” so his return to work is a good sign that the Butterscotch Stallion is back on his feet.
In Owen Wilson’s first interview since his highly publicized suicide attempt, the actor was all business.
He engaged in a five-minute conversation with longtime friend and frequent collaborator, Wes Anderson for MySpace’s ongoing Artist on Artist feature, Friday. The duo chatted about their latest film, The Darjeeling Limited, and traded quips about past movies, and joked about the special effects used to make the interview look like Anderson and Wilson were in the same room (Wilson was in California and Anderson was in New York).
The clip came off more as a promotion for their movie than the emotional Oprah-esque sit-down it was hyped to be.
The 38-year-old actor’s personal struggles were not mentioned at all throughout the interview.
It has been only six weeks since reports of his attempted suicide graced the front pages of both tabloids and newspapers alike, but Owen Wilson found the strength to make his first public appearance at the premier of his film “The Darjeeling Limited” on Thursday in L.A.
Director Wes Anderson initiated a very warm welcome for Wilson at the premier, calling him his “best friend”. Wilson avoided the throngs of inquisitive paparazzi and reporters by skipping the red carpet and sneaking in via the back entrance.
Since his suicide attempt, Wilson has maintained a fairly low profile – and Thursday night was no different. Sitting hidden in the front row of the theatre, Wilson quietly bowed out of the screening only moments after it had begun. His co-stars were supportive of his brief appearance, and Wilson refused to comment to the media on both the movie as well as his personal life when exiting the event.
Hopefully it won’t be too long before Wilson is back to his typical antics, cracking up audiences around the world.
Before you rush to theatres next weekend to see Wes Anderson’s fifth feature film, The Darjeeling Limited, be sure to watch the short film that precedes the story.
The 13-minute short entitled Hotel Chevalier stars Jason Schwartzman (one of the Darjeeling leads) and Natalie Portman. It was made a year before filming of Darjeeling even began. Originally intended to stand alone as a short film, Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums) realized that Schwartzman’s character was perfect for the feature film he was envisioning.
Portman appears nude in the short, and has a tiny cameo in Darjeeling. Though it is not necessary to see the short to understand her relationship with Schwartzman?s character in the full-length film, Anderson says Chevalier does flesh out the story.
“My ideal thing would be to have the audience member come over to my apartment and watch the short on my computer and the next day they’d watch the movie in the theater,” he told the Wall Street Journal.
Hotel Chevalier premieres tonight at Apple stores in selected American cities, but will be available starting tomorrow as a free download on iTunes.

Los Angeles police have confirmed actor OWEN WILSON did try to kill himself at his Californian home on Sunday (26Aug07).
The 38-year-old was taken by ambulance from his Santa Monica property to the emergency room at the nearby St. John’s Hospital at midday on Sunday.
Reports immediately began circulating that Wilson had cut his wrists and taken pills in an attempt to end his life. He was reportedly found found by big brother Andrew, who called the authorities.
And now the Santa Monica Police Department’s Calls For Service report – obtained by U.S. news show Extra – lists the reason for the emergency 911 call to Wilson’s address as an “attempted suicide.”
The phone call was received by authorities at 12.08pm on Sunday and “cleared” nearly five hours later at 5.07pm.
Wilson made no mention of the controversy in a statement he released on Monday (27Aug07): “I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”
The actor’s family was seen at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was reportedly transferred to, on Sunday night. A hospital spokesman reported Wilson to be in a “good condition” on Monday.

Owen Wilson is planning to propose to Kate Hudson, it has been claimed.
The comic actor – who has grown increasingly close to his ‘You, Me and Dupree’ co-star since she split from husband Chris Robinson – was allegedly seen shopping for engagement rings with his mother at the Harry Winston diamond store in Dallas on Friday (24.11.06).
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “They were looking at a huge, pear-shaped, flawless diamond engagement ring.”
Owen, 38, and Kate, 27, met on the set of the romantic comedy earlier this year and the actress – who has a two-year-old son Ryder – announced her split from rocker husband Robinson shortly after.
Though both stars have vehemently denied they began a relationship either before the split or after, they have been seen dining together frequently and Owen has visited the ‘Almost Famous’ actress at her home.
A representative for the actor has denied he was looking for an engagement ring, saying: “Owen’s mother was looking for jewellery for herself.”
A fan at the UK premiere of his movie, “You, Me and Dupree”, flashed actor Owen Wilson, causing him to lose his train of thought.
Walking down the red carpet and being interviewed, Wilson’s name was called out by a female fan at a bar by the Leicester Square cinema, then lifted her shirt up and exposed her breasts when he turned around.
“Wow, I kinda lost my train of thought with that one,” said Wilson, reports Sky News.
He quickly managed to pick up where he left off in the interview. Wilson didn’t have enough time to take it all in since he was doing the majority of the interviews because of the absence of his co-stars Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon.
Hudson wasn’t able to make the premiere because of her recent split from her husband of six years, Chris Robinson.
However, Wilson, 37, did a pretty good job on his own discussing the movie with reporters and even stated that he can relate to the character Dupree on a personal level.
“I think I’ve been a Dupree and I’ve also experienced a Dupree. I went to stay with Woody Harrelson and his family in Hawaii for four days and it turned into four weeks. I think by the end of that trip his wife was like, ‘So do you need a ride to the airport today?’” said Wilson.
