“Pirates of the Caribbean” director Gore Verbinski has jumped off deck and will not be directing the fourth installment of the Disney film, according to Variety.

“I had a fantastic time bringing ‘Pirates’ to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry [Bruckheimer], Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team,” Verbinski said to Variety. “I’m looking forward to all of us crossing paths again in the future.” 

Instead, Verbinski is set to work on “Bioshock,” based on the video game, according to Variety.The game tells the story of a man stranded in an underwater city.

Johnny Depp will be the highest paid actor in history after the fourth instalment of “Pirates of the Caribbean.” Reports vary, but Depp is said to be banking between $56 and $61 million for the upcoming film.

Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will reportedly not be involved with the film, or the big payday.

Tom Hanks is second, being paid $29 million for the coming “Da Vinci Code” sequel.

The National Enquirer reports that Ryan Reynold’s jealous streak may be a threat to his engagement to Scarlett Johansson.

Reynolds is said to be insecure about the good-looking men Johansson works with. “He almost drove Scarlett away,” a source told The Enquirer. “Now that she is marrying him, she told him in no uncertain terms to quit being jealous – after all, he’s the one who is shattering many men’s dreams of getting sexy Scarlett down the aisle. But it drives him crazy when other guys flirt with her.”

Johansson just filmed a movie with Orlando Bloom and Ethan Hawke.

Orlando Bloom has had to drop out of his latest film at the last minute due to scheduling conflicts.

Bloom was set to star in the adaptation of the Nick Hornby book, “An Education.”

The film, helmed by director Lone Scherfig, “is based on a memoir by British journalist Lynn Barber,” according to Yahoo! News. “The coming-of-age drama is set in early-1960s London and centers on a 17-year-old girl whose suburban life is turned upside down by the arrival of a thirty-something playboy.”

Bloom has already been replaced by Dominic Cooper, best known for starring in “The History Boys.” The rest of the cast is an excellent group of actors: Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan, Alfred Molina, Rosamund Pike, Olivia Williams, Sally Hawkins and Emma Thompson.

Filming began Monday.

Move over, rehab. Courtney Love has credited an unlikely man with keeping her clean: Orlando Bloom.

Love told “Access Hollywood” that Bloom introduced her to the Buddhist lifestyle that finally changed her ways.

“We chant every day,” Love said. “The 12-step programme demands that you have a spiritual practice that you do daily.

“I don’t mind talking about it because it has changed my entire life, changed everything – restructured my body, restructured my physicality. Truly I can, not all the time, but I can take joy at really shitty situations.”

True to her name, Love said she loves Bloom for his influence, and that he “doesn’t mind being outed as a Buddhist.”

Orlando Bloom tried to walk away from a car crash last week, leaving his bleeding female friend, until paparazzi warned him the incident would be deemed a hit and run if he left.

Police claimed that Bloom did not appear drunk on the night of October 11, so he did not have to take a Breathalyzer test. However, paparazzi video from earlier in the evening show him acting strangely while leaving a club. He jumped into the car of a stranger and began yelling at the driver. A female then got in the back of the car and tried to separate them. Allegedly, the driver is the woman’s boyfriend, and Bloom had grabbed her inappropriately in the club.

Bloom then got into his own car with his two female friends. One woman started off as the driver, and according to reports, was so drunk that she repeatedly tried to start the car even though it was already running. Bloom later took over, and then ran into a parked car.

The injured woman was Cher Coulter, a celebrity stylist. She walked around the car holding her head before laying down on the pavement. At hospital it was revealed that the impact had fractured her neck vertebrae.

Bloom’s rep released a statement claiming Bloom called emergency services immediately after the crash.

Actresses Kate Bosworth and Lindsay Lohan were photographed leaving a Tommy Hilfiger party together last night.

The new BFFs were only a couple of many celebs who were invited to the exclusive Tommy party which featured a performance by Lenny Kravitz.

Bosworth also sported new boyfriend, British model James Rousseau, on her arm as she left the party. She broke up with actor and long-time boyfriend Orlando Bloom last month.

Tommy Hilfiger hosted the party to celebrate the opening of his new store in Paris, France.

On-again-off-again couple Kate Bosworth and Orlando Bloom are off again, reports Entertainment Tonight.

The couple, who have dated over the last four years, decided to go their separate ways as Bloom, 29, is filming Pirates of the Caribbean in Southern California.

Bosworth, 23, and Bloom are scheduled to film a movie, Seasons of Dust, together this fall. The drama is about a young woman whose uncle commits suicide, forcing her to run away with a dashing thief.

Kirsten Dunst denied rumours that she and actor Orlando Bloom had an affair, just to set the record straight.

The misunderstanding occured during the filming of “Elizabethtown.”

Dunst, 23, told reporters at the Venice film festival these accusations were completely untrue, according to a report from The Daily Telegraph.

When asked about off screen romances in general, Dunst agreed it’s easy for actors to produce the allusion of an affair.

“There are so many charasmatic people in this industry and I can understand why people on location get together.”

About a week ago, Dunst was rumoured to have spotted looking at prenatal vitamins with her longtime boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal at a Los Angeles supermarket.

The couple reportedly split last year, but according to Teen Today.co.uk, Kirsten and Jake concocted stories of a break off to get away from the spotlight.

She’s described her new role in “Elizabethtown” as one of the best female parts she’s recieved in ages.

Love is back in style for twenty-something power couple Kate Bosworth and Orlando Bloom.

Bloom, 28, flew to Australia to visit Bosworth on the set of her upcoming Superman flick, Superman Returns, in late June.

“Orlando can?t stay away from Kate,” says a source from the London Mirror. “They?ve tried to be apart but it?s impossible when you are as in love as they are. He?s determined to woo her back.”

Reportedly, once Bosworth, 22, discovered he was flying in, she immediately dumped new boyfriend, model Lundi Shackleton, who is working on the Superman set as an assistant to director Bryan Singer.

Shackleton doesn’t have any hard feelings, though.

An on-set source says of Shackleton, “You can tell [Bosworth] respects him too. It’s all good – Orlando’s even met him.”

Bosworth and Bloom broke up in January because of distance issues.

Rumours flew that Bosworth had left the Lord of the Rings actor because he’d gotten too wrapped up in the Hollywood glitz.

In March, however, Bloom convinced Bosworth to join him at the exclusive Chateau Marmont Hotel to reconcile.

“Now it is a very serious relationship, and getting more serious with each passing day,” Femalefirst quoted an insider as saying.

Engagement rumours have also been circulating since Bloom visited Bosworth during two month hiatus from filming the Pirates of the Carribbean sequels. He supposedly gave her a ring worth $400,000.

Perhaps Bloom swung into action when he heard Tom Cruise was after Bosworth. She was reportedly among the young actresses Cruise had in mind while shopping for arm candy. He was also reportedly interested in Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson before choosing Katie Holmes.
