Chad Michael Murray – or should we now say, Chad Murray – is dropping his middle name, Michael, in an attempt to “reshape his image”, according to Perez Hilton, becoming…drumroll please: Chad Murray. Is this what z-listers do now when they’re bored?
The former One-Tree-Hiller, who left the show a couple of seasons ago, is still grateful for the experience. The actor said:
“I’m grateful to have had it. I’m fortunate to have had it. I learned so, so very much from so many people. I was able to kind of grow up and become the man I’m becoming today. I just feel very fortunate to have been in that position, to be in Wilmington, North Carolina, to be in place that’s kind of smaller than Los Angeles. It’s just different. I enjoyed my experience there.” Wonder how much he got paid to say that one.
Perez goes on to report that Murray says his dream is to works with the likes of Darren Aronofsky, Martin Scorsese and Terry Gillam. “I love The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” says Murray. “It’s what film should be about. It’s true imagination where you go anywhere. It was just so beautiful. Definitely one of my top 10 films.”
It’s uncertain whether he’ll return for the finale of the show – which I am still sceptical to believe since this seems to be the show that doesn’t give up, even after it loses its main character – but we can only hope that Luke will return to Tree Hill for one last time!
Don’t get me wrong, I do love Chad, but come on – how can a true fan of One Tree Hill not hate him for making the show absolutely terrible after he left?
But for now, we all have his April cover of Troix magazine to look forward to! Can’t wait!

Now in its seventh season, One Tree Hill continues to explore the journeys of its beloved characters, while seamlessly introducing new favorites. As the series jumps ahead 14 months, these new relationships infuse the history and change the lives of those who live there. No denying it, Kate Voegele is hot in every way. We interviewed her last year and were very impressed with her charm and the fact she is a master at beer pong. It looks like teen dramas Veronica Mars and One Tree Hill will live on on the new CW network. The network has ordered three more episodes of each series this season. When the WB and UPN joined forces to form the CW earlier this year, it was unclear which shows would survive the merger and which wouldn’t.
Veronica Mars has been doing well since it kicked off its third season this fall while One Tree Hill’s ratings have been on the rise. It even beat Fox’s teen drama juggernaut The O.C. last week in adults 18-49.
However, the CW has generally not been doing as well as execs hoped. The merger was supposed to bring more audiences as the broadcaster would air only the most popular shows from the two former competing networks. That hasn’t happened.
