“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” has finally arrived to grace the eyeballs of my fellow nerdlingers. But for those who didn’t get their hands on advance tickets (totally not me or anything), there are ways to savour The Hobbity goodness that awaits on the Internet. This week, TheWarpZone has blessed us with a random One Direction-Hobbit mash-up that is actually unbearably catchy.
The video shows Frodo and Bilbo fighting over that “one ring,” which is supposed to be a pun for “One Thing” by One Direction. The writers behind this video are just too good. It’s like they’ve hit the hearts of every fangirl who happens to love 1D and The Hobbit simultaneously. At least now we have something to listen to whilst we weep until we finally get to see “The Hobbit.”
We’ve all done it — pretended to know a song, when really we’re all just noobs with a collection of misheard lyrics. Pleated Jeans recently made an epic compilation of songs with lyrics that are brutally misheard. I may or may not be guilty for some of those Blink 182 failures.

While One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” tells you you’re GORG, their new track “Little Things” will make you believe it. In their new track they list all the quirky details about you they can’t get enough of you — probably the very things you don’t love about yourself.
They love the freckles on your cheeks, the crinkles by your eyes when you smile and the dimples in your back. ”I’m in love with you and all these little things,” they sing. Turns out, “One Thing” is composed of many “Little Things.”

Even if you’re not into chippy boy bands or One Direction singles you have to admit that their songs are pretty damn catchy and deep down you’re actually obsessed. No really, you are but just don’t want to admit it.
Still, it’s nice to hear interpretations of an original song. By changing the tempo and pitch, artists can change the vibe of a track entirely. Suddenly, you start liking a song you might not have listened to in the first place.

The preppy ladies from glee-style group CIMORELLI put a girly twist on their “One Thing” music video, filming it at the community playground. The neon-clad ladies are all sisters from California and took some visual inspiration from their little brothers. ADORBZ.

Most One Directioner’s have zoned-out daydreams about kissing their favourite member of the band, but recently the guys have taken to smooching each other. We’re not complaining, but we do feel semi-bad for Louis Tomlinson who’s been left out of all the kiss-fests so far.
First Zayn Malik laid a sloppy one on Liam Payne on the set of their “One Thing” video, causing the poor unsuspecting guy to jokingly faint of happiness (we would too — but for real).
Now Harry’s all up on Niall. Check them out singing “What Makes You Beautiful” around 0:35 when Harry shares the intimate moment with his bandmate — though to us it KINDA looks like he’s just whispering something. Apparently Larry Stylinson is so yesterday and it’s all about Narry now.
Was it a case of mistaken identity? Was that kiss actually meant for Louis the whole time? Harry’s got a lot of questions to answer.

So adorable!
Meet Keegan, Joshua and Connolly, a trio who want to meet their idols One Direction.
Hoping to get their video message out to Liam, Harry, Zayn, Niall and Louis these seven-year-old triplets present an awesome video of them lip-synching to “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing.”
And because they’re already very connected, they have even started the Twitter hashtag #1DmeetLittle1D from their Twitter account @Little1D_KJC.

Niall Horan turned down
Shy little Niall Horan apparently got turned down after asking out Skin’s star Freya Mavor. We can’t imagine anyone turning down a member of 1D but apparently some girl’s are immune to their potent love charms.
According to The Sun, the two met at the beginning of last year and chatted a couple times between interviews just after he finished X Factor. The Scottish television star wasn’t interested though and told a source he wasn’t her type. We don’t feel bad though, considering there are a pool of eligible ladies lining up outside his hotel room every night.
Harry Styles is single
X Factor presenter Caroline Flack has “broken her silence” about dating teen popstar Harry Styles. The relationship by the numbers? Harry is 17 and she is 32. Yikes! I guess the guy must be pretty loaded mature. She gave her first interview after the January split to Daily Mail, saying: ”Harry Styles and I remain very fond of each other. We got very close for a while, and then we decided it was best to be just friends,” she said.

Okay, enough with the lovey dovey stuff. Let’s get to their performances on SNL. Is it just me or did they seem a little nervous?

Good news for single ladies out there. In an interview with One Direction, 1075 The River slyly pried into the boys’ dating life and they revealed that Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles are all single. They said they travel so much that they haven’t had any time to date.
If you’re interested though, stalking isn’t the best route to take. Harry Styles revealed to The Sun that there’s a girl who constantly messages them on Twitter and has been at every hotel room they’ve stayed at in America so far, trying to lure them out at night. Creepy! On the flip side, they revealed to The Today Show that their favourite thing about American girls is that they’re “loud.” They followed up by performing their song “One Thing.”

I went to the bowling alley a couple weeks ago but I don’t think anyone cares. When 1D goes, it makes national headlines — especially when they’re rowdy. Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were given warnings at a New York alley for hurling three bowling balls down one alley at a time. Although they thought it was hilarious the bowling alley engineer didn’t think so.
Finally, the One Direction gang just released a video for the Fall Tour.
