1. Showering for dummies
“Have you been imagining cool things to say for a long time?” Embarrassingly true. But I think they forgot reciting the entire score of Rent…
2.OMG INTERNETZ
I legitimately cried from laughter when I saw this. If I walked into my room to see my cat making this face, I’d probably snap a photo too. The question is, what are they looking at on the computer? Hmm..
3. Is this guy single?
Apparently a Ryan Gosling-Steve Carell hybrid exists. This is the best day ever.
4. Beyonce has a message for Romney…
Beyonce posted this punny picture on her tumblr a few days ago. We got the message Bey, you’re Team Obama.
5. Harry Potter and Hermione reunion
I dressed up as Hermione for four consecutive years of my life. Not once did this happen. If Emma Watson ever recognized my Halloween costume, I would probably combust out of pure joy.
If you ever stay at the same hotel as a celebrity with whom you share a mild resemblance, I recommend taking advantage of it. A simple smile or wave from a blurry distance might earn you starstruck squeals from preteen girls. That’s exactly what happened to these two guys who were staying at the same hotel as One Direction during their time in Milan at the Hotel Principe di Savoia.
About three or four hundred fangirls were patiently waiting outside for the band so the two colleagues stood by the window and pretended to be two of the guys in the band (I’m guessing Louis and Niall?). One of them wrote on YouTube: “We kept this up all day and they never got it… the most fun we have had in ages.”
If you want your 15 seconds of fame, this is the easy way to do it.

In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, President Barack Obama gets re-elected, Donald Trump is a sore loser, and One Direction wear football uniforms.
HIT: President Barack Obama gets re-elected
Let’s see: I’m a Canadian. I like my healthcare. I’m also a woman so I like my rights. I also love seeing people in love get their happy ending, whether they’re straight, gay queer, etc. So obviously, I’m happy that Obama won and those dickwads (a.k.a. Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock) who have absolutely no idea what rape is didn’t. Oh, I might as well mention that a very large group of diverse women (including an Asian-American and an openly gay politician) will be in the senate next year. To quote Tina Fey, “bitches get stuff done.”
MISS: Donald Trump’s Twitter rant post-election results
![]()
There was no one more upset than Donald Trump last night after all the news outlets (including Fox News) called the election in favour of Obama. He has since deleted most of the tweets, but it doesn’t matter because, to quote NBC anchor Brian Williams, Trump “has driven well past the last exit to relevance.” Trump is too short-sighted, stubborn and maybe even xenophobic to even contemplate bi-partisanship and it’s people like him who are splitting America apart. He can rant and rave all he wants, but he has to pull a Bill Clinton by backing his claims with facts before I take heed of his garbage.
HIT: One Direction in (American) football Uniforms

Sorry for the political bits. Apparently, the American political world morphes into the entertainment world during the last days of the election (Canadian elections aren’t as entertaining. Interesting, yes, but not entertaining). To apologize, here’s a photo of One Direction in tight American football uniforms. You are welcomed.

Apart from seeing Britney Spears’ awesome expressions and hearing Emblem3′s heavenly voices echo over the TV there’s a whole NOTHER reason to watch The X-Factor this week called One Direction. The guys are performing “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things” at the live results show this Thursday from their second album Take Me Home.
It makes sense considering the guys got their start on The X-Factor UK with mentor Simon Cowell. Their performance of the ridiculously sweet ballad “Little Things” (written by Ed Sheeran) will be the world-premiere live TV performance of the song. We heard Niall might be playing the guitar on stage!!
In honour of their performance, the top 12 contestants produced their very own One Direction music video for “Life While We’re Young.” Will you be watching?

One Direction was taunting us everyday with the many countdowns to their new music video “Little Things” and my head was about to explode in anticipation. It’s finally here and #LittleThingsOnVEVO is already trending on Twitter.
The guys were pretty practical with the music video too, filming it in a recording studio as they casually sing and look adoringly into the camera. Overall, the video is pretty low key. It was shot in black and white and has a simple theme, which makes sense considering it’s a slower ballad. This way, we really get to focus on the message of the song (that you’re BEAUTIFUL) and their ridiculously good-looking profiles.
Also, how bout these gifs from magnificent-mofo, huh?

The December issue of Vogue U.K just got dreamier. The guys of One Direction are the stars of the issue, featuring supermodel Edie Campbell. Scratch that, the real stars of the photo shoot are the suits, ties, and varsity jackets that the guys wear.
We should give an epic slow clap to the stylist behind this genius wardrobe. It’s a cool change from the guys’ everyday outfits that are a bit on the preppy side. No matter what, they’ll always be beautiful.
Here are some photos from the Vogue U.K December issue:
These personalized varsity jackets have me swooning.
Let’s just appreciate Zayn’s “the think” pose. Honourable mention to Liam.
Niall. Fail. (I still love you.)
We’ve all done it — pretended to know a song, when really we’re all just noobs with a collection of misheard lyrics. Pleated Jeans recently made an epic compilation of songs with lyrics that are brutally misheard. I may or may not be guilty for some of those Blink 182 failures.
According to the video, these are some commonly misheard lyrics:
“I’ve left some brains down in Africa,” – Toto’s “Africa”
“With the lights out, sex is dangerous. Here we are now in containers,” – Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”
“Padded bra! Padded br-a-a,” – Van Halen’s “Panama”
“You keep making me reek, yeah, frozen in Cadbury,” – One Direction’s “One Thing”
“Come on Barbie, let’s go potty,” – Aqua’s “Barbie Girl”

We know by now that directioners are obsessed in love with One Direction’s latest single “Little Things,” but we didn’t think that these fans would produce such gold. The comments for the lyric video are absolutely hilarious. I thought my inner fangirl was bad until I read through the pages of comments. And by pages, I mean novel.
While it’s true that most of the comments are hilarious, a few are quite serious. I suggest that any 1D haters out there read through what the fans have to say. The message of the song has changed lives for the better. If that isn’t a reason to love One Direction, then I don’t know what is… other than Niall’s cute face.
Here are the 15 best reactions to the “Little Things” lyric video:

While One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” tells you you’re GORG, their new track “Little Things” will make you believe it. In their new track they list all the quirky details about you they can’t get enough of you — probably the very things you don’t love about yourself.
They love the freckles on your cheeks, the crinkles by your eyes when you smile and the dimples in your back. ”I’m in love with you and all these little things,” they sing. Turns out, “One Thing” is composed of many “Little Things.”

The boys of One Direction may already have adoring fans around the world. But let’s remember that they wouldn’t be here without their parents.
So rather than letting the boys take most of the credit, a duo who goes by the name Big Clown Little Clown have released a song dedicated to the mums of One Direction. And due to its popularity, the two are even releasing it to the public to help raise money for a charity that benefits sick children.
Having listened to the song, Harry Styles’ mom Anne Cox is already a fan.
“I first heard the song when Luke & Dave sent it to me a while back, I love it!” she said. “The guys have a brilliant sense of fun, and it’s very tongue-in-cheek.”
“I know myself how hard it is to raise funds for a charity and the help that this will bring to Believe In Magic is wonderful. It’s hard to ask people to ‘give give give’ all the time, so this gives people a chance to help whilst getting something back,” continued Cox. “It’s fantastic and I’d personally like to thank the guys on behalf of BIM.”
How cute!! Now how about some love for the 1D dads??
If you can hardly wait for One Direction’s next single ‘Little Things”, perhaps this might satisfy you for the time being.
Providing a sneak preview for what the song will sound like, Ed Sheeran, who wrote the song, revealed some of the details on the “acoustic led” ballad.
“It’s got one of my favorite lines that I’ve ever written in a song,” Sheeran told Capital FM. “Harry says, ‘I know you never like the sound of your voice on tape / And you never like to know how much you weigh / And you still have to squeeze into your jeans / But you’re perfect to me.’”
About an ex-girlfriend, the song was written alongside singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan when Sheeran was 17. Having lost and found the song again, the boys in One Direction loved the song and wanted it to be on their next album.
“It was one of five songs that I gave to them which made the album,” Sheeran continued. “I think they just wanted to try something different. I think they did the same formula with the last single — it sounded like a One Direction song — and now I think they want to switch it up a bit.”
With that in mind, I SERIOUSLY CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS. I know the single is premiering in two days, but the suspense is KILLING me.

When I was in second grade the video for “Quit Playin’ Games” by The Backstreet Boys was released, marking the precise moment when my fangirl days started. Now when I see the new generation of fangirls and fanboys, I can’t help but feel nostalgic, recalling fond memories of buying magazines whenever my favourite group was on the cover, collecting clippings of EVERY photo and interview, sending fan mail to the addresses listed and waiting for that autographed poster that never came (I’m looking at you BSB). And yes, I had to deal with the ridicule from those who just didn’t get it.
How do you know when you’ve crossed onto fangirl territory? Here are the top five signs, from a tried and true fangirl:
1. Your bedroom wall is a shrine
You’ve collected every over-sized poster from magazines, turning your bedroom walls from paint to One Direction wallpaper. Your parents admitted they almost feel uncomfortable in your room when Harry’s looking at you like that. Yes, my parents did actually tell me something similar…
2. You know every lyric and will sing their songs anywhere
You get excited everytime you hear your tune playing, regardless of where you are at any moment. For example, if your in the vegetable aisle at the grocery store and 1D’s “One Thing” starts playing, you immediately start singing and dancing. Not lying, this tends to still happen to me whenever I hear “Backstreet’s Back.”
3. You shed a lot of tears for them
You start a concert all like: “Yeah I’m cool and collected,” until they finally hit the stage and you begin hysterically sobbing and screaming, stating “I’m just so happy!” whilst wiping tears.
4. You sleep with them

The standards for marriage proposals have just been set impossibly high, thanks to a guy named Brad. The last time we saw someone do a live lip-dub proposal we crowned it the best (and possibly only) of its kind. Things have changed.
Brad is clearly in love with his belle, Emily. Not only did he go to great lengths to gather family for the lip dub proposal, but he also looked to the guys from One Direction for help. The video shows family and friends rather enthusiastically lip syncing to the 1D classic, “One Thing.” The best part of the whole experience is the screaming that emerges from Emily when she sees old friends.
I wonder what the next lip-dub proposal is going to be. Surely someone will look to JBiebs for some help!

Everyone knows the guys from One Direction love a good joke. So taking their antics with them, the band recently caused some good-natured chaos in the studio of UK’s Real Radio.
With Louis Tomlinson repeatedly yelling, “What’s ya name and where ya from?! We’re the Wanted!”, Niall Horan on the other hand, tricked listeners into thinking they’ve won tickets to see Manchester United (they didn’t).
While it’s hard to keep up with what’s going on, it’s nice to see the boys actually taking a bit of time to sing a seemingly calm, acoustic version of their single ‘Live While We’re Young” at another radio station.
This of course, leads me to my next question. Which station got the better deal? Would you rather have the boys of 1D joke around with you or serenade you instead?
In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Shailene Woodley might play the iconic Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Amazing Spiderman sequel and Niall Horyn needs surgery after a brutal squirrel attack.
HIT: Shailene Woodley may join The Amazing Spiderman 2 cast as Mary Jane Watson
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Shailene Woodley has been offered to play the iconic redhead Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spiderman sequel. This may be the second best thing to happen to her this week after ABC announced they’ll be cancelling The Secret Life of an American Teenager. Since her stunning performance in the George Clooney film, The Descendants, proves she’ll be a worthy third piece in the romantic love triangle between Andrew Garfield’s web-slinging Peter Parker and Emma Stone’s brainy Gwen Stacey.
MISS: One Direction’s Niall Horan gets attacked by squirrels

One Direction’s Niall Horan recently been spotted on crutches. The 1D member told the U.K.’s the Sun Newspaper that the injury was the result of being attacked by a squirrel in a London park. Niall will reportedly have to undergo surgery to fix the ligaments he tore in his leg because of the furry attack. Niall’s injury just adds to my now rational fear of the urban creatures.
HIT: The Mythbusters prove that Jack Dawson didn’t have to die at the end of Titanic
The guys at Mythbusters have finally put the widely debated Titanic dilemma to a rest. Through the use of science, Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater could’ve lived happily ever after if only she made some room on that floating piece of wood. This startling revelation has 1) made me a smug person who wants to yell, “I TOLD YOU SO” to everyone who has ever disagreed with me, 2) given me another to cry at the end of the movie, and c) given me the conviction to boo at James Cameron if I ever come across the famous director.

With boy bands like One Direction, The Wanted, Jonas Brothers and Big Time Rush dominating the headlines, here at ANDPOP we can’t help but wonder where all the girl bands have gone. Girl Groups are all the rage in the UK, China, and Korea, but The Pussycat Dolls seem be the last major girl band we’ve seen on our side.
We can’t help but wonder why? Is it because teenage girls have forgotten the girl power motto and prefer listening to boys serenade them? Thankfully, a few girl groups are gaining recognition with stellar hits. If you’re craving all female music but don’t know where to look, don’t worry we’ve got you covered.
Here are five girl groups to watch out for:
Stooshe
Members: Alexandra Buggs, Karis Anderson, Courtney Rumbold
Why we love them: Stooshe are a UK-based band, which means they bring that extra bit of sauciness American girl groups just can’t compete with. The ladies aren’t afraid to push the envelope with crude lyrics while still staying accessible to a younger crowd. Plus they have killer style.
Favorite song: ”Love me”
What’s next: Stooshe’s third single will be a cover of TLC’s “Waterfalls,” to be released on Nov. 5. Their debut album, Stooshe, drops Nov. 12.
Little Mix

Members: PerrieEdwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall
Why we love them: Little Mix was the first group to win The X-Factor UK in eight seasons, and were actually formed exclusively to compete in the groups section of the talent competition. Even through the ladies haven’t been performing together for very long, their voices meld together with the perfect mix of rhythm and harmony.
Favorite song: “Wings”
What’s next: Little Mix’s second single “DNA” will be released on Nov. 11. Their debut album with the same name will follow eight days later on Nov. 19 .

Let’s face it. One Direction fans are extremely passionate.
Dubbing themselves Directioners and screaming at just the sound of 1D’s music, this fandom has even led trainee musicologist Josh Haddow to study what kind of person listens to a group of young men who sing incredibly catchy tunes.
And based on his research, it appears that fans are incredibly devoted. So much so, that they’re even willing to compare Zayn Malik to a religious figure like Ghandi.
But while Directioners appear to have good intentions, don’t EVEN DARE TO ASK about a romance between Harry and Louis. These fans are so defensive they will “literally punch you in the face” if you think it’s true.
Looks like One Direction heading the same direction as E. L James’ Fifty Shades of Grey.
Because according to Sugarscape, the band will be the subject of a fan fiction novel that’s going to be print from Penguin Press!
Realizing that the story would be perfect for the publishing house Penguin Press’ Senior Fiction Editor Lindsay Heaven spotted 16-year-old Emily Baker’s 1D fan fiction called, ’Loving the Band’ on movellas.com.
“Penguin had been looking to commission a writer to pen a romantic Y.A. fictional novel that tapped into the current obsession with boy bands,” said the publishing house in a statement.
“Emily proved to be just the right kind of new talent to write such a novel with powerful emotion and authority and world rights were duly acquired from movellas.com.”
Heaven’s story, which features two members of One Direction falling in love with her, has reached over 30,000 hits. Set to be released in ebook on November 1st, I can only imagine how the band must feel about this story.
From inspiring a line of Uggs to having a comic book series, let’s just say this is another unique form of flattery.

In “awful” One Direction news, Liam Payne confirmed breaking up with his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Peazer. Rumours are flying about who Payne will date next, including fellow X-Factor singer Leona Lewis. Umm, I don’t want to break any more hearts there, but she might be a tad out of Liam’s age range (19 vs. 27? Likely).
The staff at ANDPOP are debating about who Liam should date next. We found some perfect candidates on Twitter — Liam himself even called them all “babes!”
Here are five 1D babes we think Liam could potentially date next:
@MyLifeSelena

Aww. This 1D fan would totally love Liam forever. @MyLifeSelena must be really special if Liam himself sends some love back.
@_1DWorldwide
Pure sadness. This Liam-lover opted out of talking to their potential hubby and did homework instead. We think that if they’re so dedicated to their studies, they’d be TOTALLY loyal to Liam.
Ever daydreamed about Harry Styles and what he would be like in the bedroom? Just read ’50 Shades of Grey,’ since that is where he gets his sexual education. In an Interview with The Sun, he spoke about how some women friend’s of his were making him read the book. “They were like, ‘Just borrow this,’ and I was like, ‘Hmmm’. It seems interesting. I could probably learn from it, I don’t know. I feel like it’s an educational and interesting read.” Looks like I just found my new crush!
