She’s a heroine on and off screen! After discovering she had an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer, Angelina Jolie underwent a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of developing either. In an Op-Ed she wrote for the New York Times she wrote, “I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices.” Brad Pitt, of course, was beside her every step of the way saying that she is “absolutely heroic.”

He can sing, he can dance, but Chris Brown CANNOT paint. The “celebrity” painted fang-bearing goblins outside of his Hollywood Hills home which are scaring the neighbourhood kids. As such, the “bad boy” has been ordered to take down the images within 30 days or else face a fine. While the $376 (USD) fine probably is chump change to him, do you think he’ll take them down out of respect? “”There are scarier creatures on Harry Potter,” he tweeted. “Get a … life!” So, no.

Weeks after teasing fans on Twitter with cryptic messages, One Direction have announced their 2014′s Where We Are Tour at a press conference at Wembley Stadium Thursday. Talk about a packed schedule as One Direction are already incredibly busy with their current 2013 world tour!
Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles are just as excited for their upcoming adventures as their loyal fans.
“We are ecstatic,” said Niall. “We have only been a band for three years and we’re already doing stadiums – including Wembley.”
Harry also chimed in and shared what fans can expect on the tour: “It’s important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it’s going to be much bigger and new songs. A completely different tour.” Bigger and different – well count me in!
They also took the opportunity to share some news on the new album, the one their pal, Ed Sheeran, said was already finished. Louis shared that the album would take the band in a, ahem, new direction (ZING!), “There will be a new album this year. It’s taken a slightly rockier tone.”
“We made it a lot more edgier,” added Liam.
The tour will take the boys all around the world, promising to hit up every country. It’s set to kick off in Latin America on April 25, 2014 and will continue on to Ireland and The U.K. Before you get your heads in tizzy, they have also promised a U.S. leg and I’m sure they wouldn’t forget about their Canadian fans. Whether it’s in interviews or their tomfoolery behind the scenes, the boys in One Direction no doubt have loads of fun when they’re together. In this prank the boys are led to believe that they are meeting two fans on a New Zealand morning show who couldn’t make it to their show in New York because their dog “Zayn” was hit by a car. The best part about this video is how Harry is pretty much the only one who is trying to help his fainting fan.

How can we forget the time when Louis and Zayn pranked Niall, Liam and Harry at Nickoledeon by making them think they were going to deliver a baby? Again, can we just appreciate how concerned Harry is in this moment?
Come to think of it, if there’s anything to take away from these two pranks it’s that I hope Harry’s there in the case of an emergency.

From the Backstreet Boys to Celine Dion…that’s quite the range, boys!!
While it probably comes as no surprise that One Direction killed their rendition of “I Want It That Way,” most people would be shocked to hear the boy band also killed their rendition of Celine Dion’s Titanic hit “My Heart Will Go On.” It is a liiiiittle bit hard to take them seriously as they croon the dramatic ballad, but they did get to showcase some top notch vocals (I’m looking at you Liam!!)
I mean, really, does it get any more adorable?
Taking the stage at Stockholm, Sweden on May 8, our fave boys from One Direction did a tribute to a boy band original: Backstreet Boys’ “I Want it That Way.”
We’re sure 1D can make any girl scream by just appearing but the men of the Backstreet Boys were very impressed.

Well, here’s some news that made it feel like it’s Christmas morning.
They may be on their Take Me Home world tour, but the boys of One Direction have also been working hard on their third album. They hope to have out by Christmas and it looks like they may just hit that goal.
In a recent interview with MTV, their ginger buddy, Ed Sheeran, let the cat out of the bag by claiming that the album is already finished! (Cue the squeals!) But if you were hoping for another Ed Sheeran/1D collaboration, you won’t find it on this next album. Deciding to keep his songs for himself this time around, Ed didn’t contribute anything.
“I haven’t done any songs on this one; I’ve actually kind of cut myself from giving any people songs at the moment, because I want to make my album,” he said. “Once my album’s done, then we’ll see. But their album is already finished.”
Ed has become One Direction’s biggest collaborator, having donated already three songs for their last couple of records, having written hits like “Moments” for Up All Night, “Over Again” and the swoon worthy “Little Things” for Take Me Home.
Ed or no Ed, this album is will be at the top of every Directioners’ Christmas list and have us dancing with joy. Yay!
Say what you will about the boys of One Direction, one thing’s for sure, they keep upping the adorable factor. Louis and Zayn are going to have one sweet ride during the American leg of their Take Me Home Tour as they might be seen rolling up in a real life version of Scooby-Doo‘s Mystery Machine.
There’s been talk of the boys putting down £70, 000, (roughly $109.9 thousand CAD) on the bus. It looks like it’s all finally coming together, and of course Louis had to share his excitement through Twitter.
Decked out in colours you can’t miss with “The Mystery Machine” painted in large orange lettering, you have to wonder if this a good idea. I mean the “mystery” is pretty much gone and I can just see the fans now on the look-out for a large turquoise van roaming the streets of their city this summer. Nonetheless, it’s pretty cool. Maybe they should go all out and drive around disguised as the characters.
One Direction’s Harry Styles has been quite the busy body since touching down in L.A. on Tuesday.
After bumping into The Mindy Project‘s star and creator Mindy Kaling earlier this week, the singer was spotted leaving dinner with none other than Rod Stewart Thursday night. Styles and the aging rocker were joined by a group of friends (including Rod’s wife, Penny Lancaster) at L.A.’s Dan Tanas restaurant.
While we hope the two had a pleasant evening together, we do hope some of the conversation turned to business. I wouldn’t mind hearing a Rod Stewart/One Direction or Harry Styles collaboration on the radio.

Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby
Summer blockbuster season is almost upon us and you’re probably just as stoked as I am for a whole new crop of movies to devour. But when it comes to movie fashions, summer blockbusters tend to be big on explosions and less on couture. There’s always just a movie or two each year that leaves the audience with a big sartorial impact. Most people are betting on The Great Gatsby to have the biggest style impact, but just because it has the most fashion hype doesn’t mean it will be this year’s most fashionable film.
So here are the movies of 2013 that you need to keep you eyes on for the film’s fashion and sense of style.
The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s famed novel is a rite of passage in any high school english classroom. This novel has made its way to the silver screen before but it is Baz Luhrmann’s super stylized adaptation that has us most excited, making it one of the most anticipated films of the year. The Roaring Twenties was a period of high fashion, artistic expression, crazy parties, and excess. No wonder it’s still a popular period for fashion magazines to take editorial inspiration from, and besides everyone loves a good flapper dress. Although this period piece has the most hype (check out Carey Mulligan’s Vogue cover), the ’20s inspiration might have already reached its peak during the Spring/Summer 2012 runways. Perhaps the film will revitalize last year’s trend and keep it alive.
Spring Breakers
One Direction made a surprise appearance during Sunday night’s Juno Awards, a.k.a. the Canadian Grammys.
The adorable boy band helped host, crooner Michael Bublé, introduce the “Call Me Maybe” singer from Manchester via satellite. Bublé feigned some nerves as he bantered with Liam, Niall, Zayn, Harry and Louis, asking the boys if they liked stuff. If I were Bublé, I would’ve asked them if they like cheese.
After that adorable introduction, Jepsen went on to perform a medley of her songs. She went on to pick up three JUNO awards, including Single of the Year (for “Call Me Maybe,” naturally) and Album of the Year for her sophomore album Kiss. Kiss also landed Jepsen the Pop Album of the Year award during the pre-broadcast gala.

The movie poster for One Direction’s upcoming documentary This Is Us has just been released, and we gotta say, can August 30th come any sooner?!
The movie will outline the group’s adventure (but not their adventurous adventures) and their quick rise to the top while giving fans a glimpse of life on the road. You’re squealing as you’re imagining what it would be like to see the boys on the big screen, aren’t you? But that’s not all! The movie will come out in 3D! This means we can see Harry Styles get all up in our faces. We absolutely cannot wait.
If these pictures are just a small peek of what’s to come, I’m going to start lining up for tickets right now. I’m also incredibly excited to see their faces plastered all over the town. We get to see One Direction while waiting for the bus, while we’re driving, on billboards, and as we walk through the movie theatre. We’re already predicting their movie will top the box office!

The boys of One Direction have finally met their match as they helped to unveil their new Madame Tussauds wax figures on Thursday.
The boys got a little silly as they were posing with their wax counterparts in London, England with Liam Payne opting to pick the nose of his new friend.

Directioners were left in a tizzy of emotions after they thought they heard One Direction’s Harry Styles mention ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift during his solo in “Little Things” during their Newcastle gig.

But before the “Haylor” bashing starts all over again, rest assured that this is all most likely either, a joke courtesy of his fellow bandmates, which wouldn’t be a first. Cue flashback of Harry getting pantsed onstage by Liam. There’s also a chance are it’s a complete misunderstanding, i.e. hearing ”Ted” and even “pet” instead.
So what do you hear when Harry sings “And I’m in love with you?” at the 1:40 mark?
Harry Styles can’t tell stories, says the most ridiculous things, and makes the greatest derp faces are just a few of the many reasons why Styles is by far, the most entertaining member of One Direction.
All the boys have their own shtick, but Harry Styles is the strangest, and in turn is the most entertaining. Niall has his Irish-ness, Zayn has his catchphrases, Liam has his Twitcam, Louis has his fashion, but Styles has his over all derp-ness and we love him for it. How could anyone forget Dirty Harry’s live show antics, such as getting pants-ed or slyly changing the lyrics around? He’s a special unicorn that has been nice enough to grace us with his presence.

There is no denying that Harry Styles is the media darling of One Direction. They’ve captured his tumultuous relationship with Taylor Swift, his party-filled vacations, and now thanks to Liam Payne, his underwear.
Yes you read that correctly. And while it may seem like a dream come true for Directioners, it just made me cringe. Why would seeing a hot pop star drop trou ever make me cringe, you ask? Check out what was going on under his pants:
Is nobody else disturbed by what appears to be a completely tattered pair of boxers?!? I would be happy to accompany Harry on his next shopping trip to avoid further pantie-induced embarassment. Or, he could just go commando. I wouldn’t mind that either.

After fifteen long months with a mouth full of wires, Niall got his braces off on Wednesday, and we can’t help to swoon over his teeth. I mean, look at him.

Niall can now eat all the food he wants without fear of getting it stuck in between his teeth. Let’s be real – the first thing he would do after he gets them off is go to a restaurant to eat. Typical.
Although having his braces taken off is a good thing, we can’t help but to feel a bit sad over the fact that they’re gone. Yes, braces are annoying especially because of the pain, the fear of food in between your teeth, the fact you have wires showing when you smile—nobody’s got time for that. But this stud rocked them like it was nobody’s business. Now it will always feel like a piece of us went missing when as we drool over old One Direction photos.
So let’s just take a moment to remember Niall and his braces.
You’ve got to admit, Justin Bieber’s European leg of his Believe tour has been a bit crazy. I swear I can’t go a few days without hearing news about him. From getting booed at the O2 arena in London, to Selena’s “Well, that makes two of us” on Letterman when the late night host said that he made Justin cry— it’s actually been a crazy few months.
It’s not all that bad for Justin, however, since he has had a few good moments while in Europe. Here’s a graph detailing the high and lows of his tour so far. Keep in mind, there are a lot of stories that have come out from Justin that I couldn’t fit on the graph, like how he honoured the death of Briana, a fan who he’s met that passed away, and getting schools in Norway to rearrange their exam schedule. (I mean seriously, you have to be THAT awesome and important to get a few schools to change their exams schedule!). Take a look below:
If you are going to watch any Harlem Shake video, it should be this one. While it’s least favourite viral trend, One Direction makes it bearable. Basically, One Direction can make just about anything cool.
