I’d probably ditch my own wedding too if it meant seeing Nick Carter in the flesh. Old Navy features BSB (swoon) singing in the company’s new Rockstar Jeans commercial. It also features grown-ass women screaming at the mere sound of their angelic voices.
The ad is a cute play on words for the song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” because literally everybody is supposed to fit into these jeans. While this is cool, I couldn’t get past the band’s awkward-but-beautiful dance moves. (Can we please take in how graciously they bob their heads?) The BSB were so convincing in this commercial that, I too, was rocking my body as I pressed the replay button. Several times.
Ironically, the whole point of this commercial is to sell the pants. But something tells me the ladies in this commercial just wanted to rip them off and throw them onstage.

Who: Jessica Alba channels a few key summer trends as she runs daytime errands. We love that she kept her look casual with denim but dressed it up by opting for a striking fuchsia colour and heels. She balanced the daring colour by untucking and rolling up the sleeves of her patterned, collared blouse.

Who: Kristen Stewart at Comic Con
Why we love it: Kristen exudes coolness with her wind-swept waves, casual T-shirt and stretch skirt. She epitomizes street style by completing her look with strategically undone high tops. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and add vibrant pops of colour to this look. Stack your arms with bangles and you are ready for any summer festival.
It’s not quite a jingle, but it certainly does the trick. The voice behind the now-popular Old Navy sweater commercial has certainly generated enough buzz around the woolly retail item. Fans have franticly attempted to download the sweet sounding ‘Old Navy sweater song’ without luck – but the mystery has been solved: The voice belongs to none other than singer Ingrid Michaelson.
MTV News featured the artist on yesterday’s news feed. Not only has the crooner’s remarkable voice been showcased in the Old Navy commercials, but Grey’s Anatomy fans might also be familiar with her haunting yet beautiful melodies, as her songs have been featured in a number of episodes.
According to MTV, the clothing commercial really boosted sales for her LP entitled “Girls & Boys” which was released last week, and reached Billboard Top 200 for the first time. As of present, she is the only independent artist on at the top.
“It’s been quite a shift from a few months ago when I was working with a children’s theatre company,” she told MTV, “I’m just trying to go with the flow and not get too wrapped up in it.”
The Old Navy ‘sweater song’ is entitled “The Way I Am” and can be found on her LP.
