Jerry Seinfeld’s Driver Using Police Placard

Jerry Seinfeld’s driver, a retired police officer, was caught using a Bronx police placard he should have turned in two years ago upon his retirement, reports E! News. He reportedly placed it in his window when escorting the star into the studio for a taping of reality show The Marriage Ref, which Seinfeld produces.

Elizabeth Clark Zoia, a representative for Seinfeld, said he takes responsibility for the incident and apologizes, even though he was not aware the pass was being used.

Jon Gosselin Apartment Cut To Shreds

And so it continues for our favorite reality TV star Jon Gosselin. TMZ is reporting that the recent robbery of Gosselin’s apartment was more then just a simple missing TV. Apparently his apartment was completely vandalized and ripped apart with a butcher’s knife. According to Gosselin’s lawyer, “shoes, shirts, luggage, bed, curtain, rugs and other furnishings” had been slashed by a “sick perpetrator.” This doesn’t include the missing television, coffee maker, CD player, a 100 year old valse, and other items that have been taken.

Jon Gosselin wants charges brought against whoever did this crime, and the NYPD are fingerprinting the scene today looking for evidence. Additionally there was a note left at the scene signed by Gosselin’s ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

DJ AM Found Dead in Apartment

DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his NYC apartment earlier today, according to TMZ. Early reports say that drug paraphernalia was found around his body when he was discovered. Last year, Goldstein and Travis Barker survived a plane crash that killed four others on board.

Once the news broke about his death, Shanna Moakler tweeted “My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends.”

‘Over There’ to Debut in the US

The first television series about the war in Iraq will air tonight in the US, ironically called “Over There.”

NYPD Blue creator Bochco made the drama, which is going to be shown on the FX cable network at 10 p.m.

It is a fictional account of the war from the perspective of eight US soldiers.

Reports from the BBC denied claims the drama was commissioned for political reasons.

Instead, the US media has been calling “Over There” a conventional story, taking no position of its own.

According to the LA Times, this is the network’s second seriers after “Rescue Me” that sprung up after the events of 9/11.

Bochco worked on the show with co-creator Chris Gerolmo, who was quoted as saying:

“War is a natural subject of television. It’s (the series) has got all the drama of ‘Law and Order’ and the action of ’24′, and for better or worse, it’s got all the gore of ‘CSI.’ Why not write about war? We can give you a powerful, visceral gut-wrenching experience that the news can’t give you.”
