2012 is going to be a big year for Lady Gaga. She explained in a recent interview that she is heading back on the road, and will also be releasing a new album (and kind of becoming a Mom).

Gaga told MTV, “I just want to keep going. I’m not as goal-obsessed as I am process-obsessed. I just want to keep writing music. I’m looking forward to putting out another album and going on tour.”

Gaga also talked about becoming a Mom one day.

“Someday, a long long day from now. Not soon. My next baby will be my new record.”

So in 2012, Gaga will become a Mom – a Mom to her new record.

2011 was an awesome year for Foster The People. However, the guys are not sitting around and losing the momentum. They are already planning the next album.

“There’s definitely musical elements that we’ve talked about,” frontman Mark Foster told MTV News. “You know, really leaning on the percussive nature of what our live show has turned into this year, and bringing that more out into the second record — just kind of experimenting, doing some different, weird studio tricks; just having fun with it. But you never really know until you get under the hood, so we’ll see what happens when we start.”

Kesha Is Going To Save Rock N’ Roll?

Do you think rock n’ roll is dead? Well autotune Queen Ke$ha is determined to save rock n’ roll with her next album.

“I feel like I don’t necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music,” Kesha told MTV News. “That’s the goal. We’ll see what happens. That’s a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that’s my goal.”

Ke$ha recently covered Bob Dylan, which might have influenced her thinking. “I’m really proud of that, but I have learned over the past three years of doing this that being vulnerable doesn’t mean you’re weak,” Ke$ha said of her debut. “I very much want to be seen as a strong woman, but I realize that vulnerability can also be a strength. So on my next record, you are going to hear probably a little more of that.”

So we will have to wait and see. Do you think Ke$ha can be taken seriously as a rock artist?

Drake’s New Album Leaked

Aubrey “Drake” Graham tweeted late Sunday night in response to the leak of his upcoming album Take Care. At first listen, it craftily juggles between Drake’s duelling egos, Aubrey, the emotional slow jammer and Drizzy, the Weezy impersonator.

With unsurprising appearances from Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and a handful by Papa Weezy himself, there is one lush and tender ode to the hometown with R&B up-and-comer, The Weeknd. Inspired by his appearance at Drake’s Molson Amplitheatre show in August, the legendary Stevie Wonder-ful makes a cameo on the confessional “Doin’ It Wrong”. He arguably shows impeccable taste for a sophomore effort, while maintaining the frequent Toronto shout-outs and references.

Is it disappointing that we live in a time where nobody can keep things left under-wraps and that old release day anticipation is non-existent? Or is it a gift in itself? Either way, there’s a plentiful of career-shifting products through Take Care’s tracklist:

Katy must be going trough Rihanna’s Idea Book because from what we can see in the trailer for The One That Got Away, it looks a lot like Rihanna’s We Found Love.

The music video appears to tell the story of a troubled relationship with a voiceover that fails at being poetic and instead ends up being corny. Isn’t Katy Perry happily married? Why is she sad, lonely and sulking in expensive dresses in all her music videos (see: Thinking of You).

This is Katy’s sixth single off her album Teenage Dream to get a music video. Her last video, T.G.I.F., was an original, quirky video and it was great to see the singer acting and looking silly while having fun. I have a feeling The One That Got Away is the complete opposite.

Taylor Swift is teasing the world that she has some surprise projects stored up for 2012, but she isn’t going into any real detail.

She told MTV News she’s working on “some surprise projects that may or may not happen, and possibly some acting.”

“I’ve just been so excited about what’s gonna happen in the next year,” she said. “I’m also really excited about [the next album]. I’ve been writing all the time. I’ve been writing so much for the new record. I can’t believe I’m saying that already: It comes out in a year, but I’m already excited about it.”

Britney Spears is searching for a homeless man who wants Britney’s new album. Britney came across a picture of the man holding a sign saying he needs cash to buy her latest CD.

“Need to get new Britney Spears CD. Anything will help. God bless”.

Now Spears has posted the picture of the man on micro-blogging site Twitter and asked fans to try and locate the man, reports contactmusic.

“If anyone can find this gentleman I’ve got a package with my entire catalog (sic) with his name on it… -Britney, ” the 29-year-old posted.

Britney – are you serious? The homeless guy is obviously trying to be funny. Besides, what is he going to play your music on? We don’t think he owns a stereo or an iPod.

Rihanna Says Album Release Due For Fall

Rihanna announced via Twitter that her new album is due in the fall.

One of her Twitter followers asked, “When’s the next album due?” Rihanna exuberantly replied, “THIS FALL!!!!!”

In July producer Verse Simmonds spoke to MTV News about the progress of the album.

“From what I understand, she’s closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I’m really excited about them as well,” Simmonds said. “They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts.”

Drake Announces ‘Take Care’ Out October 24

Drake took to Twitter to annouce his next album Take Care will be out October 24th.

Drake spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where he opened up about his team for this new album.

“There are about three or four major opinions that I respect. Obviously, the main one would be [engineer and producer] 40 (Noah Shebib). He’s worked with me every single night I’ve set foot in the studio since Comeback Season. He knows what I’m capable of and he’s not afraid to say “You can do that better” or “That’s it” or “I know you can write a better verse than that.” And Oliver El-Khatib, who has progressed from my friend who just used to advise me on how to dress to a guy who came up with the artwork for So Far Gone to, since he’s such a creative brain, that he’s become one of my managers. Then my DJ Future the Prince has a great ear for music. And probably the most important person in the equation is Hush, who is a friend of mine who grew up rapping in Toronto and he’s present every night. If anyone knows what I’m capable of, it’s Hush. We love rap the same way and we have the same exact ear. So I know he’s hearing what I’m hearing. I never take criticism personally from anyone. I love feedback, but especially when it comes to Hush. He understands rap probably better than anyone else I mentioned. And he’s a close friend of mine.”

New Kesha Album in Spring

Kesha fans will need to wait until Spring 2012 for the next album by the pop singer. Producer Dr. Luke confirmed this via Twitter.

Dr. Luke has produced a number of hits for Kesha, including “Your Love Is My Drug.” He said when asked “are we gunna [sic] get a new Kesha album soon?” by a Kesha fan over Twitter, Dr. Luke replied, “not this year…. close to may….”

The new album will be called “Spandex.” She has definitely come along way since our first interview in 2010.

Paramore Penned Four More Tracks for New Record

Hayley Williams of Paramore has revealed the band has written four more songs for the next record.

“We have written four new songs and they are quite diverse,” Williams said. “There are some heavier songs, but there’s also one that we plan to play live soon that is called ‘In The Morning Mess.’” She added, “I can’t really say that ‘Monster’ is an indication of what to expect on the next Paramore album. We, as a band, will always try to evolve and try new things. It will be different for sure, but it will still keep Paramore’s essence.”

Charlie Sheen Hints at New TV Show

Charlie Sheen was stopped by a photopgrapher where he dropped some hints about his new BIG TV show, with a BIG time producer.

“I don’t want to piss Joe Roth off … it’s a movie he produced a few years ago. I don’t know if i was supposed to say anything,” sheen told TMZ.

Roth produced Major League, Alice in Wonderland, among others.

Sheen added, “Look through his films and you’ll see which one makes the most sense … and it’s not “Coup de Ville.”
