Lil’ Wayne and the Cash Money Records crew returned to New Orleans Friday to give out free Thanksgiving turkeys.
“It’s actually been my first time back here for the past eight or nine years, and they’ve been doing this for 15 years,” Lil Wayne told MTV News. “I haven’t been back here to do this for so long just being super busy, just always on tour.”
Cash Money does a turkey giveaway each Thanksgiving, although most of the crew have relocated outside of New Orleans.
“Those times I did it years ago, I was just a kid and I was just doing it because Baby and Slim, we were giving away turkeys at a park and that’s what we were doin’,” Weezy said. “Now it’s a totally different feeling, because I can actually give you that and say, ‘Here, happy Thanksgiving.’ I can do that, and I can provide that for you. That’s a different feeling in general, and it’s a beautiful feeling overall.”
According to Perezhilton.com, Batman 3: The Untitled Batman will begin production in April 2011. The film is scheduled to shoot in New Orleans.
New Orleans seems like a a strange location for the backdrop for Gotham City. It is not the standard location where you see skyscrapers. Knowing Nolan, anything is possible. Surely he will build some elaborate set that flips upside down, backwards, forwards, diagonally….oh wait, that was Inception, oops. Well, with the modern technology called, “CGI”, filmmakers are able to turn any city into New York City.

Sandra Bullock appeared with Matt Lauer this morning on NBC’s “Today” to discuss her new charitable initiative of rebuilding a school in New Orleans, and also to talk about her new son Louis.
“No one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for, until you have a child in your life,” she said. “It naturally shifts. It just shifted the first day I met him. It was like he’d been there the whole time, yet everything was different.”

Rumor has it Sandra may go to her beloved Austin, Texas home and also an old Victorian home she bought in New Orleans. The friend also suggest that she may never make another movie again, but devote her time to her new son.
Steven Seagal has been pulled off the streets of New Orleans. Popeater.com reports that Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand has cancelled production of the new season as the controversy surrounding Seagal would be a distraction.
Kayden Nguyen, a 23-year-old model, says that she was hired by Seagal to be his executive assistant. She alleges that he sexually harassed her and engaged in sex trafficking. Nguyen also says that she was held hostage in his Louisiana home, where Seagal repeatedly groped and fondled her.
Kayden is currently suing Seagal for $1 Million.
Rock legend Alex Chilton died today due to an apparent heart attack, according to The Commercial Appeal of Memphis.
Chilton, who lived in New Orleans, was complaining of health problems on Wednesday and was rushed by paramedics to hospital. A band mate in Big Star, Jody Stephens, confirmed his death to The Commercial Appeal. The band was supposed to play at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas this weekend.
Nicolas Cage has made a LOT of movies, so realistically, he should have enough money in the bank to afford the entire city of New Orleans. But according to People.com, Cage owes $6.3 million in back taxes and now he is blaming it on his business manager.
Samuel J. Levin is now facing a lawsuit from Cage himself, but has not released any statements.
The lawsuit stated Levin “lined his [own] pockets with several million dollars in business management fees while sending Cage down a path toward financial ruin.” Cage is now apparently forced to sell major assets in order to cover the tax liabilities, according to the lawsuit.
His two houses in the French Quarter of New Orleans were auctioned for a collective $4.5 million on Friday, about one-third of their appraised value.
