When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.

It’s hard to believe The Price Is Right has been on the air for 40 years now. To celebrate the big achievement, the show will have its first celebrity week in January.
Perez Hilton explains that one celebrity will appear each episode to play for a charity of his or her choosing. These celebs include rapper Snoop Dogg, actress Jenny McCarthy, actor Neil Patrick Harris, rocker Chris Daughtry and supermodel Heidi Klum.
The special Price is Right week wont air on CBS until January 2 but executive producer Mike Richards isn’t afraid to spill the beans on how some stars excelled.
“Let’s just say Snoop knows more about the price of grocery items than you might think!” he says.
Here’s the rundown of episodes, as posted on Perez’s website.
Monday, January 2 — Snoop Dogg playing for Snoop Youth Football League
Tuesday, January 3 — Jenny McCarthy playing for Generation Rescue
Wednesday, January 4 — Neil Patrick Harris playing for The Noreen Fraser Foundation
Thursday, January 5 — Chris Daughtry playing for Alzheimer’s Association
Friday, January 6 — Heidi Klum playing for Unicef
I can’t wait to watch. It’s still not the same without the iconic Bob Barker but Drew Carey is holding his own. I’m more excited to see how Snoop’s episode pans out and whether or not Plinko is played.

Are you a Muppet of a man or a very manly Muppet?
It’s the question we all ask ourselves every morning and yesterday, Jason Segel – who starred, co-wrote, executive-produced and resurrected the new ‘Muppets’ franchise – and his Muppet brother Walter serenade us with the existential ballad of self-awareness. It follows the two coping with heartache on different levels. It’s the Flight of the Conchords-type deepness that is both equal parts heartbreaking and hilarious.
In fact, it was penned by FOTC’s beloved Bret McKenzie. He wrote a few more songs for the soundtrack – along with OK Go, The Fray, Weezer, Hayley Williams, Amy Lee and My Morning Jacket.
With cornball cameos in the film ranging from Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, Selena Gomez and Dave Grohl – this teaser doesn’t disappoint, with ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Jim Parsons dropping in. If you haven’t made it to theatres to see it yet… why not?
Neil Patrick Harris will return as host for the upcoming Tony Awards, reports CTV.
Producers of the show announced Tuesday that the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star and a stage veteran will take over for ‘Will & Grace’ actor Sean Hayes, who hosted last year.
The ceremony honouring Broadway’s best will be at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, after several years at Radio City Music Hall. The awards will be handed out June 12 in a telecast aired on CBS.
“What could possibly go wrong?” Harris asked, joking the producers of the show had borrowed the rigging equipment from the troubled ‘Spider-Man’ musical.
Harris, 37, has starred in three Broadway productions, including ‘Assassins,’ ‘Proof,’ opposite Anne Heche, and as the exuberant master of ceremonies in ‘Cabaret.’
He also recently joined Stephen Colbert, Christina Hendricks and Patti LuPone in the New York Philharmonic’s production of ‘Company.’
Harris previously hosted the 2009 Emmy Awards the same year he hosted the Tonys. The last time Harris hosted the Tonys, the audience was up 19 per cent from the previous year.
Harris is a great choice. He’s funny, appeals to a large demographic, and knows his stuff when it comes to the theatre scene. Hopefully he does a better job than Anne Hathaway and James Franco at the Oscars.
Christmas has come early and it looks to be a very green Christmas this year. Warner Bros. has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas” will be released November 4th, 2011.
The follow up to 2008′s “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay” will star John Cho and Kal Penn – who left his job working for the Obama administration to film the movie – reprising their roles as the lovable duo Harold Lee and Kumar Patel. Oh, and Neil Patrick Harris will be playing certified badass, Neil Patrick Harris. NPH!
An official synopsis has been revealed, if thou shall not want any spoilers, I suggest you stop reading.
The new comedy reportedly picks up six years after their last adventure. After growing apart, Harold and Kumar have replaced each other with new best friends and are in the midst of preparing for Christmas. That is until a mysterious package arrives at Kumar’s door, his attempt to deliver it to Harold’s house ends up with him inadvertenly burning down Harold’s father-in-law’s prized Christmas tree. With his in-laws out of the house for less than a day, Harold decides to cover his tracks rather than coming clean, and he reluctantly embarks on yet another ill-advised but hilarious journey with Kumar. It takes them through New York City on Christmas Eve in search of the perfect Christmas tree.
Deck the hall with buds of holly! It sounds like a festive season ahead, only 283 days!
Well, prepare yourselves to not find out who the mother of Ted’s kids is for another two years. It was confirmed Friday that How I Met Your Mother has closed deal to carry on until May 2013. That’s right fans… no Lemon Law here!
Between the series is more popular than ever (with ratings averaging 3.6 in the demo and 9.13 million viewers) and Sheen’s shenanigans leading an uncertain future of Two and a Half Men, CBS has decided to secure a 2-year deal to continue the adventures of Barney Stinson – I mean, Ted Moseby’s epic tale of how he met his wife. The deal has CBS paying in the range of $3.5 million per episode, which is almost double the existing deal of about $2 million per episode.
All five stars – Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Jason Segel, Allison Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris are contracted to the end of season eight. Segel has already made note that he will not be signing on for subsequent seasons, as his movie career is becoming priority.
Neil Patrick Harris reacted to the news via his Twitter account: “HIMYM picked up for 2 more years! Yahoo! With so much job security, I should buy something extravagant. Like a pony. Or some gold teeth!”
Neil Patrick Harris is currently one of the most well-known names in the entertainment business, but this week he’s just playing dad.
PerezHilton reports that the actor and his partner David Burtka welcomed twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, to the world this past Tuesday.
Harris took to his Twitter account to let the news break, tweeting, “Babies!! On 10/12, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace entered the Burtka-Harris fold. All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey.”
Congratulations!
Neil Patrick Harris, who has been in the spotlight for nearly his entire life, is set to make his directorial debut reports Hollywood Reporter. Harris will direct the indie romance Aaron and Sarah.
Harris has become extremely popular in the last few years for his role on “How I Met Your Mother”. Harris directed one of the show’s episodes in 2010, but is he ready to make the jump from the small screen to the silver screen?
Aaron and Sarah will star Emma Roberts (It’s Kind of a Funny Story) and Josh Hutcherson (The Kids are All Right) as two high schoolers, a popular girl and a geek, who happen to cross paths and fall in love. It seems like a familiar story but hopefully Harris will throw something interesting into the mix. Apparently the film includes “four proms and a funeral”.
Judging by the recent films of Roberts and Hutcherson, the film will be a quirky poignant high school tale that covers comedy and drama while making obscure pop culture references.
Neil Patrick Harris is a reasonable man – a man you can trust – a fair man. So when he says that Simon Cowell is “Irreplaceable” on”American Idol,” we would tend to agree with him.
The star of “How I Met Your Mother” was a guest judge on the show, so he understands the complexities of the job.
“Who would be good on ‘American Idol’? The problem with that is I’m such a big fan of that show, I feel like [Simon]‘s irreplaceable. I feel like whoever gets that spot has such a target on their back,” he told MTV News at theTime 100 gala in New York City.
“And Simon’s so amazing, like I almost uniformly agree with everything that he says. And I’m not saying that in a kiss-ass way. Like, when it finally gets to Simon and he says his critiques, I’m like, ‘Yes, exactly.’ ”
Neil Patrick Harris will help celebrate the best of the Broadway season as host of the 2009 Tony Awards.
Harris is known for his roles on such TV shows as “How I Met Your Mother” and “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” but the 35-year-old actor is also a stage veteran, having appeared in the Tony-winning drama “Proof” as well as revivals of “Cabaret” and “Assassins.”
“His love for Broadway and great knowledge of theater combined with his on-stage presence makes him the perfect person to guide us through what is sure to be a great night,” Tonys co-executive producer Ricky Kirshner said in a statement Thursday.
