Shaq Orders Murders

So along with being an average basketball player (let’s be honest here), Shaq is also a mob boss ordering murders.TMZ has obtained a copy of the lawsuit which makes some pretty serious allegations against Shaq.

The lawsuit has been filed by Robert Ross. The suit accuses Shaq of asking Ross to kill a gang member, a record producer, and a woman he impregnated. The suit also claims that Shaq had masterminded a plan to have Ross killed in 2008 by other gang members.

In the suit, Ross alleges, “For many years O’Neal requested and directed [Ross] to perform many personal favors and directed him to perform various tasks including, but not limited to: ordering [Ross] to kill a member of the Downtown Gangster Crips who had disrespected O’Neal in front of his wife Shaunie.”

Shaq’s lawyer, Michael J. Kump, tells TMZ … “The outlandish claims by Robert Ross in his civil complaint are pure fiction. Shaquille O’Neal befriended Mr. Ross in an attempt to help turn his life around. Sadly, Mr. Ross abused that friendship again and again.

Kump adds, “Shaquille’s commitment to law enforcement is well-known and documented. He will not dignify these defamatory allegations with a response.”

We think these allegations perhaps are somewhat true but definitely exaggerated by Ross. And we also trust Larry David. If Shaq was a killer, than Larry wouldn’t have had him as guest star on Curb Your Enthusiasm. We trust Larry’s judgement of character.

Man Kills Priest and Take’s Family to Disneyland

Talk about cold blooded murder. A Louisiana man is accused of killing a Priest, stealing the Priest’s car, and taking his family to Disneyland.

Jeremy Wayne Manieri has been charged with the death of Rev. Edward Everitt. After killing the Priest, Manieri alledgely took the man’s car, picked up his ex-wife, stepson and daughter, then drove to Disneyland.

Although they made it to Disneyland, Manieri was found as the car had a vehicle tracking device. They also found the gun to kill Everitt in the car, reports the Daily News.

Hopefully they got to go on some of the rides.

Two Men Arrested For Joss Stone Murder Plot

Two men have been arrested for an apparent Joss Stone murder plot, reports CTV.

The two were found near the home of R&B singer Joss Stone in Cullompton, southwest England, on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and murder.

Police officials say the men were aged 30 and 33, and were arrested Tuesday after residents reported a suspicious-looking vehicle.

The men “had in their possession information relating to an individual in the Cullompton area and items which lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offense,” says Detective Inspector Steve Parker.

Stone’s publicist says she was apparently aware of the arrests and is being updated by the police. Police did not confirm that Stone was at home when the incident occurred.

The Sun newspaper claims, although not confirmed by officials, that the men had swords, rope, a body bag, and maps and aerial photos of Stone’s property.

The men are currently in custody. This is a scary story, especially if what the men had is true – a body bag? aerial photos? That’s a whole other level of stalking. Glad she’s okay.

New Rihanna Video Causes Controversy

Rihanna’s newest music video, ‘Man Down,’ is sparking some controversy due to its violent nature, reports Billboard.

The video features Rihanna shooting a man dead after he sexually assaults her, which many believe is encouraging young women to turn to violence.

In Rihanna’s defence, the singer tweeted claiming the video stands for female empowerment, after she herself was a victim of a violent attack by then boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009.

“Young girls/women all over the world…we are a lot of things! We’re strong innocent fun flirtatious vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naive! We always think it could NEVER be us, but in reality, it can happen to ANY of us! So ladies be careful,” she wrote.

The song features such lyrics as ”Momma, I just shot a man dead…I never been so proud.”

Several groups, including The Parents Television Council and Industry Ears, are asking BET and Viacom to stop airing the video.

“If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass,” said Paul Porter, co-founder of Industry Ears.

Melissa Henson of the Parents Television Council continued with the criticism, saying “instead of telling victims they should seek help, Rihanna released a music video that gives retaliation in the form of premeditated murder the imprimatur of acceptability.”

On one hand, they do have a point. If Brown released a video like this, the world would be up in arms. Yet she’s allowed to condone murder?

On the other hand, though, the video would make no sense if she didn’t act out the lyrics. The song calls for a “man down,” so artistically, she had to do it. I think people are just taking this too seriously – her video is like a mini movie, an exaggerated story of a woman defending herself. It’s called artistic expression!

Notorious B.I.G. Murder Investigation Reopened??

Will the mystery of who killed Notorious B.I.G. finally be solved? Well 13 years after the murder of the legendary rapper, new leads have surfaced which has put some steam into the case.

CNN reports a task force of federal and local authorities are working on some new tips, however no further information is available at this time. The investigation reportedly includes the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI.

Biggie was killed in 1997 in Los Angeles while riding in a SUV after a music industry party.

We wonder if this turns out to be the biggest story of 2011!!

‘Survivor’ Producer Charged With Death of Wife

Bruce Beresford-Redman, producer of the hit (and long-time running) reality show Survivor, has been charged with the murder of his wife, reports PerezHilton.

Beresford-Redman’s wife, Monica, was found dead in their hotel room in Cancun, Mexico while they were on vacation. Mexican officials ordered Beresford-Redman to return to to the country after he left last week to go back to Los Angeles. A warrant is now out for his arrest.

‘Survivor’ Producer Wants Custody of Kids

Bruce Beresford-Redman has returned to Los Angeles after being held by Mexican police for suspicion of murdering his wife.

The “Survivor” producer first order of business is gaining custody of his children, reports TMZ. His lawyer Richard Hirsch, says that since his client has not been accused of a crime, he has a legal right to custody of his children.

Beresford-Redman’s parents currently have temporary guardianship of his two children.

The kids of “Survivor” producer Bruce Beresford-Redman finally have their guardianship issues resolved. Bruce’s parents have been issued guardianship over his children until the mystery over his wife’s murder is resolved.

During the proceedings, the judge actually called Bruce in Mexico to find out who he wanted to care for his children, reports TMZ. Bruce asked for his parents to care for the children and the judge agreed.

Although Monica’s sister, Carla Burgos Van Bastelaar, asked for guardianship and was denied, the judge did authorize “reasonable visits.”

The judge also ordered that the children’s passports be surrendered to the court and that they stay in L.A. County. The passport issue is relevant because Carla — the victim’s sister — is from Brazil.

Bruce has been released from Mexican police but is not allowed to leave the country while the investigation into his wife’s murder is active.

Grandparents Granted Custody of ‘Survivor’ Producer’s Kids

E! reports that a Los Angeles court has granted the parents of Bruce Beresford-Redman temporary custody of his young children. Bruce was detained by Mexican police for questioning after his wife Monica was discovered murdered.

“My wife and I are grief-stricken at the loss of our beloved daughter-in-law,” Bruce’s father, David Beresford-Redman, said in a statement earlier today. “We know our son loved Monica and would never have harmed her.”

Although the “Survivor” producer was released from police, he was ordered not to leave Mexico and has been handed over to the U.S. Consolate.

“He can’t leave the country,” said Francisco Alor, attorney general for the state of Quintana Roo. “We still can’t say that he is responsible, but that’s the starting point of the investigation because we have witnesses who say he was the last to see her alive.”

Monica Beresford-Redman was discovered on Thursday beside a sewer in Cancun. Her husband reported her missing on Tuesday. The family was vacationing for Monica’s 42nd Birthday.

Witnesses told police that they saw the couple arguing Monday night. A hotel employee said that he went to their room to check on them and Bruce told him they were fighting about their kids

Jon Cryer Thinks Someone is trying to Kill Him

The boys from “Two and a Half Men” just don’t have any luck with the ladies. Charlie Sheen is having issues with his wife, and his costar Jon Cryer is also facing challenges with his ex-wife.

TMZ is reporting that Jon Cryer has asked the FBI to investigate a poential “hit” on his life. Cryer believes that someone is trying to kill him, potentially his ex-wife, and has hired a hitman to carry out the murder. Cryer and his wife are in a brutal custody battle and he believes this is his wife’s strategy to end the battle. TMZ reports that the FBI has worked the case for a week with zero leads.

Last week somebody stormed the set of “Two and a Half Men” during filming and threatened Cryer. The person was stopped by security and taping continued without a studio audience.

Killer Convicted in ‘Harry Potter’ Actor Murder

The man charged in the stabbing that led to the death of actor Robert Knox, who plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the upcoming film “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” has been convicted according to reports by The Associated Press.

The actor’s stabbing took place outside of the Metro Bar in London last May. Knox was killed trying to defend his younger brother. He suffered from five wounds and died later that same day.

At the time of the incident, the 18-year-old had just finished filming the latest installment of “Harry Potter.” The actor had also signed on to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” to return as the Ravenclaw student.

Knox’s mother, Sally, read a statement in court saying, “As a mother and parent, I can never forgive the person responsible for taking my son Robert’s life, or the devastation that has been caused by these actions”.
