MTV’s beloved prank show is back on-air after a four-year hiatus.

“Punk’d” is back in March with a new look and feel, the station reports.

The first episode will air March 29 before Pauly D’s spin-off show. It promises to be a good hour of entertainment.

Ashton Kutcher won’t be returning as the zany host. Instead, each week will welcome a different celeb as the ringmaster. Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Kellan Lutz, Hayden Panettiere and Bam Margera are among the list of hosts.

They will prank their fellow Hollywood pals, including Khloe Kardashian, “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey, Demi Lovato and many more. I can’t wait!

Why do people like the insanity of “Jersey Shore?” Well one of the show’s stars, Vinny Guadagnino, explains why people like the show. He thinks the reason is everyone can relate to the show’s cast and their behaviour.

“I’m in a bar with fiftysomething-year-old women, and they’re acting the same way as the little kids were. It’s every single person, it’s every single age group. It’s the old people, they get a kick out of it. The little kids, they just like it because it’s on MTV.”

The boys from “Jersey Shore” paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel last night to talk about the new season. Below are some highlights from the chat:

- Vinny does leave the show at one point in the season. ”It got real for me for a little bit and I had to take care of myself,” Vinny said, noting severe difficulties balancing his life and the show’s demanding schedule. “But you’ll see — a good thing ends up coming out of it.”

- “It was a big shock to us … he was like the voice of reason in the house,” says The Situation about Vinny.

- Pauly D says,” You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone,” regarding Vinny.

- Pauly D talked about his spinoff, and The Situation mentioned he has something going on. ”Everybody’s got their own things going on,” he said. “I don’t know if we’re allowed to discuss everything.”

Khloe Kardashian probably didn’t think “Punk’d” was still on the air when she recently hung out with Kelly Osbourne and Miley Cyrus. But she certainly knows now.

In an episode airing March 19, a delivery man gets his balls stuck in his zipper while using the washroom at Miley’s house. Khloe calls 911 and tries to relay the instructions from the operator. Below is a preview of what happens.

MTV announced that “Punk’d” is returning – kind of. Ashton Kutcher created and hosted the show, but he will be taking a back seat due to his “Two and a Half Men” job.

The new “Punk’d” will now have celebrity guest hosts, reports MMM-Mag. The show is supposed to return March 19, and Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are slated to host the first couple of episodes.

We think this is a pretty good approach to hosting the show. Besides, Ashton Kutcher is hated by many people after he has been cheating on Demi Moore.

The “Jersey Shore” spinoffs continue. As we reported earlier, Pauly D has been given an MTV spinoff, and now its confirmed JWOWW and Snooki have a deal.

Examiner.com reports the show starts filming this month. The show’s executive producer, SallyAnn Salsano calls the new show about Snooki and JWoWW  ‘hysterical’ with a ‘Laverne & Shirley‘ feel. “We just want to branch off on our own and we want to do our own thing and we’re excited about it so I’m excited to show all the fans how we are without the shore,” Snooki is quoted as saying.

The show is expected to debut sometime in 2012. We feel another “Simple Life” coming. Remember Paris Hilton’s and Nicole Richie’s reality show?

Hollywoodlife.com is reporting “Jersey Shore’s” Pauly D is getting his own MTV spinoff. The show has finished filming, and will begin airing very soon.

“The show is done being filmed,” a source says. “Pauly is really excited for the spinoff — he wants to be a part of the Jersey Shore franchise until he’s a senior citizen.”

We are happy that Pauly D has a spinoff. Of all the cast members of “Jersey Shore,” he is definitely the most likable and genuine. However, it’s only a matter of time until Snooki gets her own show too.

What spinoff would be more interesting? A Pauly D spinoff or a Snooki spinoff?

If you loved ‘Jersey Shore,’ this is bad news. If you hate it, this could be good news. HollywoodLife is reporting a connected source is claiming MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ might be finished after season 5.

“The cast just isn’t as close as they once were,” a source tells HollywoodLife. “They are all pursuing their own projects, clothing lines, perfume lines and several of them want their own spinoffs. There’s a lot of competition and they all feel like they’re famous enough in their own rights to continue on without the show.”

“Pauly D has been trying to secure his own reality show for a while,” another source tells HollywoodLife. “Mike wants his own show but no one has really wants to go forward with it and Snooki and JWoww were trying to get their own show.”

We think this is a terrible decision. Realistically, the cast is really only good for one thing – ‘Jersey Shore.’ If they quit that, then we believe they are all finished completely.

Hide yo kids, hide yo grenades! Jersey Shore’s back for a fifth (and final?) season.

This new season is bound to be more sloppy, more dirty, more greasy and more hoochie as the gang goes back to their roots: the New Jersey seaside. Perez Hilton just posted the juicy trailer.

The Situation is probably the most happy to return back to the place that made him. He declares he’s ready to “tear speakers off this joint!” Snooki even calls this “the best time of my life”.

No season is complete without nasty catifghts. This season, Hurricane Situation is heading straight to Snookie Island. Another shocker is Vinnie leaving the house. Halfway through the season the gang’s down a roommate and will most likely have to find a replacement (hope it’s not Angelina).

So, buckle up, lather on that tanning oil and watch as things get hot on the new season of Jersey Shore.

5. Her 2001 VMA performance

While “singing” her hit song “I’m a Slave 4 U”, Britney’s wardrobe consisted of a green bikini, a lot of glitter and a white python. The sultry performance was talked about for weeks at the water cooler. People still dress up in this costume for Halloween sometimes.

4. Entering motherhood

Six years ago, while married to Kevin Federline, Britney had her first son, Sean Preston Federline. It came as a shock because no one thought Britney was ready for such a responsibility. In fact, after her second child, Jayden James Federline, people still poked fun at her. Comedian Sarah Silverman even called her sons “the most beautiful mistakes” at an award show.

3. Her day-long marriage

We all know the expression “what happens in Vegas, stayed in Vegas”. For Britney, she ended up bringing her Vegas escapades back home with her. The media blew up and I’m sure the internet broke when news broke that Britney married her childhood friend Jason Alexander but got an annulment a day later. This is when everyone began questioning Britney and gossiping about a potential drug addiction.

2. Kissing Madonna

As per usual, when Britney’s set to performance at an award show, it’s sure to be a jawdropper. For the opening song at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, Britney, Christina Aguilera and Madonna performed “Like a Virgin”. The two former Mickey Mouse members were wearing bridal gowns and Madonna wore a black tux. When they changed songs to “Hollywood”, Madonna did the unexpected and planted a sloppy kiss on Britney (and Christina but this isn’t her moment). The best part: the camera cutting to Justin Timberlake for his reaction.

1. Shaving Her Head

Back in 2007, Britney did what was considered the norm for a major popstar: she checked into rehab. It seems she was partying too much with “bad role models” like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Unfortunately, Britney abruptly checked out a day later. The following day, she was spotted at a Tattoo Parlour in L.A. shaving her head. Known for her long, gorgeous blonde locks, the sight of Britney bald and completely worn out shocked just about everyone.

A man named Bruce Hulse claims he pitched the idea for Jersey Shore back in 2006 to MTV executives, and that MTV stole the idea from him.

A lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles by Bruce and his production company saying in 2006, he met with MTV to discuss his concept. TMZ says in his suit, Hulse claims he showed execs a video he made which featured, “stereotypical young men and women from New Jersey who were spending their summer in and around the New Jersey shore beaches and cities.”

Hulse says that MTV expressed interest, but they never called him back. Surprise surprise for him in 2009 when he saw Jersey Shore make it big on MTV.

So this might be the man kind of responsible for bringing Snooki and The Situation to the world. But why would he only launch the lawsuit now after the show has been on for four seasons?

This is the epitome of groundbreaking journalism: MTV posted highlights of their exclusive interview with the three stars of Twilight, including a lengthy discussion about abs.

Seated next to Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson playfully discussed having to work out before filming his scenes. We all know Taylor Lautner is rocking a great bod, we see him shirtless all the time, we get it! I could literally wash my laundry on his abs. Robert felt it was unfair to compare his body to that of Taylor’s.

“Everyone says I painted on my abs in ['New Moon'] — I did not! Taylor has his painted on too!” Robert said. ”During [filming in] Brazil, the day before I had to do my shirtless scene, I realized [my abs] weren’t as good as Taylor’s, so I just ate every bit of chocolate in the mini-bar. I started eating cheeseburgers and stuff.”

In a classic Team Edward versus Team Jacob fight, the award for best abs should be a tie-breaker. I’m sure Kristen would agree. Eat all the cheeseburgers you want, guys, if you’re not sporting a pot belly you’ll still a winner!

According to Snooki, who gave a rather revealing interview with GQ, Mike a.k.a. The Situation is already broke after 5 seasons of the Jersey Shore. The Superficial posted a snippet of the interview. Note: Snooki began by telling GQ she wants to become a veterinarian (it’s never too late to give up on stripping!) hence the heart rate question.

GQ: Do you remember the ideal heart rate for a dog?
Snooki: 150. I would love to go back to school and get my vet tech license. I loved the teachers at my school, I’d go there. It’s small, they have a great vet tech program and it’s cheap.
GQ: But you have money now!
Snooki: I don’t care. My entire outfit is probably like 50 bucks total.
GQ: So what do you spend your money on?
Snooki: I save it. Jersey Shore is going to end soon. I’m not going to spend money like Mike [The Situation]. He’s already broke!

I guess tanning and buying shots at Karma every night really burns a hole in one’s pocket. Ways he could save money include cutting back on t-shirts — as if he wears one anymore! Also, rubbing Snooki and hoping she rubs off on him would also cut back on tanning costs.

21-year-old Rachel Lee may look young, sweet and innocent when you first look at her but it won’t be long before she lets her crazy side show.

Lee, a member of the Bling Ring Gang, has been breaking and entering and stealing from rich celebs for a while now. According to CTV, the group have broken into the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom. She is now the second member to get caught.

When it came to the bulglary of The Hills’ star Audrina Patridge, Lee pled no contest in 2009, after allegedly stealing more than $25,000 in designer luggage, jewelry, clothing and shoes. But, after trial this past Tuesday, Lee was sentenced to 4 years in state prison.

Great news for Audrina, who had to testify against a grand jury when the issue first took to the court in 2009. I know we’re all bummed the show’s over and things aren’t the same on MTV. but this is no excuse. No one messes with the cast of the Hills!

The APP reports the house rents out for $2,500 a night at Seaside Heights. It comes fully equipped with the duck phone and the double beds in the Smush Room. And, we have a feeling all the bed sheets have been thorougly sanitized with bleach.

19-year-old Selena Gomez is set to host this year’s European Music Awards taking place November 6 in Ireland.

The singer filmed the commercial and in it, she portrays the good, angelic Selena and the bad, pottymouth version. I have to say, I like the latter best.
