Don’t trust your dad with your iPad ladies and gents. If this video is any indication, a movie like this might happen when your father decides he’s having way too much fun.
While Hellboy may not be a superhero who exists in real life, the man who played him on the big screen is awesome enough to take the time and give a little boy named Zachary the best day ever!
Ron Perlman, who starred in ”Hellboy” and “Hellboy 2″, reprised the role of the red-horned superhero for the Make-A-Wish foundation by getting into costume.
But according to Spectral Motion, the special effects company behind the “Hellboy” look, Zachary didn’t just want to meet his favourite superhero. He also wanted to become Hellboy himself!
So with the help of make-up artists, this super-lucky fan’s dreams were fulfilled.
What a lovely and sweet thing for Ron Perlman to do. In this fickle world, it’s nice to see celebrities performing gestures like these for the fans.

The official trailer for the new American gangster drama ‘Lawless’ is out and it looks totally wicked.
Set in Virginia during the Depression-era, the film is based on the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers (played by Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy), two bootlegging siblings who are threatened by authorities who want a cut of their profits.
While I see a couple of parallels between this flick and ‘Gangster Squad‘, it’ll definitely be interesting to see LaBeouf acting in something a little more different than the Transformers movies. I can’t wait to see him broaden his acting horizons!
Set to release on August 29, the film directed by John Hillcoat also features a star-studded cast. Already receiving positive reviews from the Cannes Film Festival, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clare, Gary Oldman and Mia Wasikowska also star in the movie.
The official trailer for Looper is out and it looks totally awesome!
Directed by Rian Johnson, the science-fiction film is a futuristic look at gang culture. Set in the year 2042, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a mob hitman who assassinates targets that arrive from the future of 2072. While it’s just a job for the mobster, all is well until he receives a new target: himself from the future.
Also starring Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt, the film is set to come out on September 28.
Since time travel, action and loud explosions have always fascinated me, I am pumped to see this movie! But other than that, JGL is looking particularly buff for this role. Having made good career choices in 500 Days of Summer, Inception and 50/50, it will definitely be interesting to see him kicking his own ass from the future.

In a society fascinated by Glee, here is yet another film exploring the idea of singing in a show choir.
Helmed by Dawson’s Creek director Jason Moore, Pitch Perfect stars Anna Kendrick in the middle of an a capella group at her all-girls’ college. Needing to rebuild and beat the rival all-boys group, the film also features the talents of Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (yes, McLovin from Superbad!!)
While it’s pretty obvious what the outcome of the story is, I can imagine this film being a complete cringeworthy cheesefest.
But with the hilarious Rebel Wilson delivering her one-liners, catchy songs sung in a capella and some obvious romance put in, this looks like a guilty-pleasure type of movie.

Kristen Stewart looks GORG on the July cover of Vanity Fair. She’s one of the more awkward members of Young Hollywood but jeez, guys, she’s just a regular person and I definitely appreciate that she doesn’t fit the archetype. Give her a break.
K-Stew got to chill with Karl Lagerfeld AND photographer Mario Testino at the shoot in Paris like it’s no big deal. ”It was the first time I ever had an actual conversation with him. He’s incredibly sweet. It felt like such an important moment in my life,” she said about meeting Lagerfeld. “It was very cool.”
Some of the couture looks are jaw-droppingly beautiful though I’d be afraid to walk around, lest it get a scuff mark.
Stewart, who’s currently starring in Snow White and the Huntsman also revealed to VF how she was a total tomboy when she was younger.
“Look at a picture of me before I was 15. I am a boy,” Stewart said. “I wore my brother’s clothes, dude! Not like I cared that much, but I remember being made fun of because I wasn’t wearing Juicy jeans.”

Remember that Spice Girls movie? Well, One Direction might just be getting a film of their own too!
In an interview with The Sun, Harry Styles said the band was definitely interested in making an appearance on the big screen.
“Movies are something we would consider. But it would have to be what we want,” he said.
But being the cheeky person that he is, Styles joked that he would love the movie to be a romance.
“We would love to do Romeo And Juliet, as depicted by One Direction, and we should play the parts — Niall would be Juliet.”
Would you guys watch a movie starring One Direction? I’m not sure how I feel about their acting chops after watching iCarly. But seeing how big these boys already are, they would definitely be cashing in some serious cash if this film were to be made.

Looks like another storm of racist comments are coming over the possible casting of Jesse Williams for Finnick Odair in the next Hunger Games films Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
The trilogy has met a lot of criticism in the past for first casting Jennifer Lawrence to transform into the dark-complexioned Katniss Everdeen. Then, there was the controversy over casting Amandla Stenberg as 11-year-old Rue because of her race.
But according to message boards like this one, people seem to think that Finnick Odair should be Caucasian:
Here are some of the comments:
“I think that Jesse Wiliams just won’t work. Finnick Odair in my eyes is Tall, young, disheveled medium long luscious Golden blonde hair, ocean blue colored eyes, he has a glowing tan, washboard abs, and wears almost no clothes, at the same times carries a trident. That is the guy i wan’t to see as Finnick. For example PERFECT GUY is Ian Somerhalder. Color him blonde and throw in some contacts and wala you have Finnick Odair!”
“I’m sorry but unless I read the wrong book, isn’t Finnick Caucasian? By tanned skin Collins meant his skin was darkened from the sun (swimming/fishing) not that he is of a darker skin ethnicity… Don’t get me wrong, this guy is great just completely wrong for this role.”
Meanwhile, here’s what Williams had to say:
“I didn’t know what the heck a Finnick was when I was getting a lot of the questions about it. People are creative about that kind of stuff, and now I’ll try to figure out if that’s something that’s interesting to me.”
According to the books, the character is described as an extremely handsome man with “tan skin” (also referred to as “golden”), “bronze-colored hair” and “incredible” sea-green eyes.
Personally, I think Jesse would be an excellent choice for Finnick. He’s tanned, has a sexy body and has beautiful eyes. This man is hot!!
And so what if he isn’t Caucasian? Maybe he’ll even shock you with his performance! And besides, Hollywood definitely needs more diversity in their films and range of actors.

How about a movie surrounding a bunch of pot growers?
Directed by Oliver Stone, Savages is about marijuana planters (played by Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch) who have to face off a Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped their shared girlfriend (played by Blake Lively).
Rounding out the cast are Demian Bichir, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro and Emile Hirsch.
Out on July 6, this action flick looks badass to boot and sure to do well at the box office.
Would you watch it?

Katy Perry’s life is so interesting it deserves an entire feature length film. For someone in their twenties, that’s a pretty big deal.
The 3D concert movie follows her rise from a church singing Christian to a candy bra wearing pop star, and will appropriately be out on the Fourth of July weekend (she’s living the American Dream after all).
It looks like the movie will include tons of cool vintage home videos from her childhood and footage from her California Dreams Tour. ”If you have a dream, you have to go on a journey to fulfill that dream,” she says in the clip. The movie looks interesting, although I worry it glamorizes fame as being the pinnacle of “greatness.”
Still, if you haven’t had a chance to see her California Dreams Tour yet, Katy Perry: Part of Me is another way to see it!

With all the hype over The Hunger Games, now there’s another games you might want to tune into.
Inspired by the book turned film, these filmmakers recreate the story with Beanie Babies.
Being a one-time collector of these cute stuffed animals, I’ve got to say this is quite nostalgic.
I wish every movie could feature some Beanie Babies!

Jennifer Lawrence sans bow and arrow is terrifying. When the girl is left to her own devices, without anything to protect her, stuff goes down.
In the horror movie “House at the End of the Street,” a mother and her daughter Elissa (Lawrence) move to a new home that is questionably low in rent. The reason why it’s obscenely affordable is because a young girl was murdered next door by her parents. When Elissa befriends the surviving son, she learns the story isn’t over. Dum, dum, dum.
In the new trailer, The Hunger Games star is tortured by some sort of paranormal power, which drags her across the floor and seems to tie her up. Though I think there’s something fishier going on here… The movie comes out right in time for Halloween, on September 21.

I’d be pretty sick of relationship talk if I was Rihanna too, so I can’t blame her for ripping into this reporter at a London press conference for Battleship, who decided to ask about her status with Ashton Kutcher. Rihanna can answer a hundred questions about her new movie but if one question comes up about her relationship it’ll be plastered in the next day’s headlines.
The reporter started out on a promising note, telling Rihanna how well she connects with people, but then she strayed into the love minefield: ”You’re so good with connecting with people, that I think that we actually feel we know you. Things are clearly going brilliantly in your career. I just wondered if you are as happy in your private life. Will we be seeing a certain Mr. Kutcher perhaps making a trip over here?”
“Wow, how disappointing was that question,” Rihanna answered, shaking her head. The moderator quickly tried to move on before Rihanna assured the reporter that she’s happy and single. Ouch!
I always marvelled at my cat’s acrobatic abilities. Earl Gray of Gloucester (yes, that’s one of my cats’ names) is skilled at bouncing backwards on her hind legs, jumping higher than a doorknob and running faster than me — though on that note, she’s not skilled at braking on slippery hardwood floors. She’s also a master at hiding, usually in dark corners and under blankets, so she can attack surprise me when I least suspect it. Sometimes this makes me wonder whether she’s adorable or evil, like this website leads me to believe….
Either way, she’d be the perfect addition to this hypothetical French movie called “Les Chats Ninjas.”

We finally have the first official shots of the luckiest young girl in Hollywood AnnaSophia Robb who is playing Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City prequel.
I’m a huge fan of the TV show and first movie (not the second) and they managed to make young Carrie look fresh while still channeling the 80s. The costume designer Eric Daman also managed to stay consistent with Patricia Field’s original styling though I hope to see more of the thrift-store look Carrie had in the first two seasons of the show.
The Carrie Diaries will air on the CW. Are you excited for the show?

I think everyone remembers where they were the first time they saw a part of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet.” I was in my university’s school newsroom and we were gathered around the production computer. We were’t smiling or laughing, we were just in complete shock. How is this a thing? But at the same time, it was awesome.
I don’t know how I feel about R. Kelly planning a follow up to his cult classic “Trapped in the Closet.” That music video hip hopera devoured a good portion of my life a couple years back and I don’t know if I can afford to lose more time. But the other part of me can’t wait to see what salacious drama comes up next.
He’s teaming up with IFC to premiere the latest in the 22 chapter saga. He said in a statement about the upcoming chapters:
“The Alien is back and It has brought friends along. When I first began experiencing the unknown journey of writing ‘Trapped in the Closet’ I knew after the first chapter that I had tapped into something that was not of this earth. And being the nosy person that I am, I more than anyone wanted to know what the second chapter would be,” he said. “And now here we are at chapter 23, trapped in the million dollar question — what the hell is the package? Well ladies and gentlemen not only am I ready to reveal what the package is, but I have many more chapters to share. I hope you’re as excited as I am. Ok ‘Trapped in the Closet’ fans put on your seatbelts ‘cause ‘Trapped in the Closet’ is coming to take you away.”
Here we go again. Watch the twenty-second part below, in case you forget what happened. [Source]

In awesome Will Ferrell interviews of the day, we present the bilingual comedian’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel. The entire interview was conducted in Spanish, with subtitles kindly added for the audience. Ferrell was there to promote his new movie Casa de mi Padre, which comes out this Friday.
Ferrell rides into the studio on a gigantic fake horse, which is skillfully manoeuvred by men in red bandanas, cowboy hats and black underwear.
Not everything Ferrell says in the interview makes complete sense: “My Spanish is perfect. Like the orange juice on top of the library.” I don’t know if it’s more impressive that the guys get through the whole interview in Spanish or that they got through it without breaking out in laughter. Watch the interview below:

Watching scenes and listening to tracks from the upcoming Hunger Games movie is tempting but I feel like I’ll have seen the entire movie by the time it’s released on March 23. Don’t hold me to it, but I’m going to try to hold off from now on… after these ones of course.
Eyes Open
Today Taylor Swift previewed a minute of another song for the Hunger Games soundtrack. We already heard the eerie Safe and Sound and now we have Eyes Open. The song sounds a little too upbeat for the movie, where do you think it would fit?
Behind the scenes
Whether you’re into the book or not it’s interesting to see this behind the scenes footage. I’m sure some of these scenes won’t be recognizable on screen, after they go through special effects.

Young Jeezy and Ne-Yo think their music video for “Leave You Alone” will be so epic that it deserves it’s own trailer. So, basically it’s a movie.
There’s no hint of the TM-103 song in the trailer. In the Jizzle-narrated clip he drives through the hood and narrates how life is so hard because he never knows if he’ll see the sun the next morning. The hustling life consists of so many perils and trouble is always around. Oh! And there’s a brunette love interest named Olivia, a beauty from a rival Latin crew: ”My life, this life, will never be the same again, Her name is Olivia, yeah.” Plot twist!
The minute and half trailer is more Hollywood than music. The full video for will be out on March 9 and I’m just crossing my fingers it doesn’t go all R. Kelly on us.
