High school is a strange place. Most people don’t really “find themselves” until a friend gives them LSD and they spend the rest of their free time circle dancing at raves. That’s pretty much the story with the Daniel Blue of Motopony and we’re really glad he did. The band talks about how rave culture influenced their music and the interesting journey to where they are today.
Motopony’s been getting a lot of buzz lately for the first single, King of Diamonds. They’ve got a nice 70s rock feel to them, with a fantastic drum backing. We sat down with them to go over the inspiration they draw from the Doors, Jungle music, and from the mixtapes their fans send them.
Even when said mixtapes are full of random Janet Jackson tracks from the mid 90s.
