Mom are the best. They gave birth to us, cook, clean, guide us, love us, and even when we mess up they are there to tell us to get back up. There is no one quite like a mother, and thats why we owe it to them to do something special for them on Mother’s Day which, by the way, is THIS WEEKEND.
If you’re like me, you’re scrambling to think of something to buy your mommy dearest — for a decent price. Mothers Day is always difficult because we’re old enough to want to thank our mothers for everything they do, but don’t have the funds for extravagant things. Luckily, mothers love their children no matter what and it’s the thought that count. We can get off easy by trying to do something sweet and inexpensive. Cards are a little passé but there are a few things you can do for your mother on the day that celebrates everything she does.
HERE ARE 10 GIFT IDEAS FOR MOTHERS DAY IF YOUR BROKE:
This always works. Buy a nice box and put in little things that represents your mom’s best qualities. Chocolate because she’s sweet, a stuffed animal because she likes to cuddle, a shoe magnet if she’s a shopaholic, etc. My finest moment was buying a hideous bra from The Bay because my mom is “supportive.”
Flowers are normally expensive but there is bound to be a run down florist in your area to get flowers or a plant of choice for a decent price.
All you need is a CD to save it on! Grab pictures or home video footage and make either a slideshow or video. Moms generally are bad with technology, so they will love it even if you suck at video editing.
Breakfast in Bed
This is a standard one but I feel it never gets old, especially if they’re the ones you count on for dinner. Making the family meals is both exhausting and time consuming, so your mother will appreciate getting the time off. The only reason this may not work is if your mom is like my mother and has a phobia of anyone but her touching the stove or making a mess in the kitchen. Remember to clean up after yourself or your mom will be cleaning up the mess made by her birthday present.

The boys of One Direction may already have adoring fans around the world. But let’s remember that they wouldn’t be here without their parents.
So rather than letting the boys take most of the credit, a duo who goes by the name Big Clown Little Clown have released a song dedicated to the mums of One Direction. And due to its popularity, the two are even releasing it to the public to help raise money for a charity that benefits sick children.
Having listened to the song, Harry Styles’ mom Anne Cox is already a fan.
“I first heard the song when Luke & Dave sent it to me a while back, I love it!” she said. “The guys have a brilliant sense of fun, and it’s very tongue-in-cheek.”
“I know myself how hard it is to raise funds for a charity and the help that this will bring to Believe In Magic is wonderful. It’s hard to ask people to ‘give give give’ all the time, so this gives people a chance to help whilst getting something back,” continued Cox. “It’s fantastic and I’d personally like to thank the guys on behalf of BIM.”
How cute!! Now how about some love for the 1D dads??
Ladies and gents, better hide your mothers before Harry Styles can get to them.
Well, at least that’s what Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber plan on doing.
Revealing in an interview with The Mirror, Selena admitted that her boyfriend Justin told her he wants to keep the cougar-loving Harry away from their moms!
Seeing that Styles can have his pick on any lady, Gomez said she knows the One Direction crooner has his eye on the older women!!
“We know some beautiful young women in the industry who have major crushes on Harry,” she said.
“He could probably pretty much take his pick from the hottest young girls in Hollywood. But from what Justin has been telling me, it’s not the young girls he’s looking at! I guess you just can’t blame him when you see how hot women such as Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria and Sofia Vergara look. Both me and Justin still have really hot mom sand Justin was like, ‘Harry might have become one of my best buddies, but with his record we need to keep him away from our mums.’”
Justin’s mom Pattie, 37, and Selena’s mom Mandy, 36, both had their famous children at young ages. Harry on the other hand, once dated TV personality Caroline Flack, who is 14 years his senior at the age of 32.
I’m sorry, but I find this piece of news hilarious and just a bit ridiculous. We all know Harry loves older women, but it’s not like he won’t date someone his own age!
Nice joke, Justin.
We all know Dina Lohan isn’t exactly the Mother of the Year she thinks she is.
Liv Tyler’s rock icon of a mother, Bebe Buell, has some harsh words for the troubled actress and her troubled mother.
Perez Hilton reports Bebe gave an interview with Steppin’ Out Magazine, in which she candidly spoke of how she’d whip the Parent Trap star into shape:
‘”Dina Lohan’s relationship with her daughter Lindsay disturbs me. I don’t see a mother and a daughter there…But if my baby girl got that screwed up I would NOT allow to make her own decisions. I’m sorry! Anybody can think what they want. But I would abduct my child and I would make sure that I didn’t leave her side until she didn’t have those problems anymore.”
Bebe also goes on to say if the peroxide blonde star was taken under her wing, she’d win an Oscar in two years. That’s a lot of wishful thinking. Has Bebe even seen I Know Who Killed Me? If Lindsay and Dina Lohan have a future in anything, we think it’s go-go dancing at Cheetah’s.
