When watching animal documentaries, I sometimes think yes, this doesn’t need the gravitas of Morgan Freeman to keep me hooked. While I do love Mr. Freeman’s voice (getting him to read me a bed time story is at the top of my bucket list), animals are pretty entertaining on their own.
Just watch this video of penguins just being penguins. They’re so freaking cute slipping and sliding all the over place. It also wouldn’t even be out of place if you yelled, “Go home, penguin! You’re drunk!” right after they fall. Ugh, penguins. Why are you so cute?
When I first heard about an upcoming movie about a team of illusionists stealing from banks and hurting the jobs of business leaders, I was a bit skeptical.
But after watching this trailer, I am almost as intrigued as the audience in the film.
Directed by Louis Leterrier, the upcoming crime thriller Now You See Me features a stellar cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fischer, Morgan Freeman, Dave Franco and Mark Ruffalo.
Eisenberg, Harrelson, Fisher, and Franco play a team of sneaky magicians who seem to rob a bank in France while on stage in Las Vegas. Soon after showering their audience with thousands of dollar bills, they find themselves in trouble with the FBI, led by Ruffalo and Melanie Laurent.
While I know the cast here is a big selling point, there really isn’t anything like a movie about magic (and I’m not talking about the cheesy magic card tricks kind).
Using illusions to take on daring and illegal heists, this movie is sure to cause some thrills during the blockbuster season when it hits theatres on June 7, 2013.
Who is the best person in the WORLD you can think of to read Fifty Shades of Grey? That’s right, Morgan Freeman because he has that luscious and silky, deep voice. Well, it happened… sort of. Actor/comedian Josh Robert Thompson from Family Guy narrates selections from the erotic novel as Morgan Freeman. Although the passages come from writer E.L. James, Thompson adds his own quirky commentary in.

The third trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Risesproves the movie will be just as epic as we hoped. The movie follows Batman eight years after he took the fall for Two Face’s crimes. A new terrorist leader, Bane overwhelms Gotham City.
The star-studded cast includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy and will be out on July 20. Oh and of course, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be the mysterious cop John Blake (swoon).
Other reasons why the clip is badass? It starts off with Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle predicting: ”There’s a storm coming.” This is followed by a series of explosions, including cars, bridges, buildings and trucks. Plus, we get a clip of Batman’s flying vehicle, dubbed The Bat.

Last night Morgan Freeman was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award at last night’s Golden Globes.
The 74-year-old actor has taken on eclectic roles for the past half-century; he’s played a con, a driver, a president and even God.
Did you know Morgan Freeman once played Count Dracula on the variety show “The Electric Company”. On this particular show, Morgan sings while taking a bubble bath in a casket. I’m not even making this up! This is probably Morgan’s best work to date.
Without a doubt, Morgan Freeman has one of the most recognizable voices in Hollywood. He can narrates about Penguins, play God, put babies to sleep with a lullaby and now he’s on a new vocal adventure: recording answering machines.
Revolver Entertainment, one of the leading film distrubutors, didn’t want to rely on a robot to speak on the company’s automated telephone menu. Instead, they asked Million Dollar Baby actor Morgan Freeman to be the voice people hear first when they phone in.
This is a really good move on Revolver Entertainment. Many of us humans are sick and tired of calling major companies and getting a prerecorded droid on the other end. To hear a familiar voice will ease the pain of having to wait 20 minutes on the line to speak to an actual representative. Hopefully, more businesses reach out to Freeman because it seems answering machines are his forte.
Other celebrities that should follow in his footsteps: Adele, Sarah Silverman, Keifer Sutherland and Rosie Perez.

Actor, Morgan Freeman and his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee are getting divorced. Freeman’s lawyer, Bill Luckett told a Memphis newspaper that the couple are calling it quits.
According to MSN.com, Freeman has not filed any actual papers in Tallahatchie County where he and his wife own property.
Freeman, who is 71 years old, is currently in the hospital after a serious car accident in Mississippi on Sunday.
The actor suffered several injuries including a broken arm and broken elbow.

Morgan Freeman is the latest star of the blockbuster Batman film to hit a serious speed bump in his life. He was involved in a car accident in Mississippi on Monday which flipped his car several times, leaving him trapped.
The Jaws of Life were used to free him. Freeman was said to be lucid while he was being extracted from the wreck. “He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point,” said Clay McFerrin, editor of the Sun Sentinel in Charleston.
The actor broke both his arm and elbow, and damaged his shoulder.
Freeman’s co-star Heath Ledger died shortly after the film was completed, and Christian Bale was recently investigated for a violent altercation with his own mother and sister.
