The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation issued a challenge last month offering a $100,000 dollar grant to anyone who can develop improvements to condoms in order to help curb unwanted pregnancies and STI’s around the world.
And here’s where the slingshots (not to mention hilarity) fit in: Jörg Sprave, owner and team leader of The Slingshot Channel, posted a video response to the challenge showing off what is probably the scariest/funniest/craziest invention you’ve ever seen.

According to the Telegraph, the singer has bought six, costing £9,000 each.
Doing that math, that’s about $85,587 in total!

Kris Humphries is “secretly demanding” his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for $7 million.
According to TMZ, the basketball player’s lawyer has given Kardashian an ultimatum: either pay up, or endure an ugly, public trial.
But Kardashian’s lawyers are playing it tough.
Considering that the marriage only lasted 72 days, the community property wouldn’t even be close to $7 million even if there wasn’t a pre-nuptial agreement.
But since there was a pre-nup, this means Kardashian owes Humphries nothing.
Though it’s not like Humphries didn’t make money off the marriage.
According to TMZ, he made around $ 1 million from the wedding and the TV special that showcased the nuptials. In addition, it was also said that he made somewhere between $250,000 and $300,000 for making appearances on the Kardashians’ reality show.
I honestly could care less about the short marriage, but I find it funny and ironic how TMZ reported that Humphries was “secretly demanding” his ex-wife for money and threatening an “ugly, public trial” if she doesn’t follow through.
Let’s face it. There are no secrets with the Kardashians. And seeing that this already out in the public, calling this a secret would be extremely redundant.
Come on! It’s the Kardashians for crying out loud.
If you didn’t get enough of 50 Cent’s stellar acting in Get Rich Or Die Trying, you’re in for a treat.
In today’s edition of ”What the F*ck Were You Thinking?” 50 Cent, Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson lower the bar on both acting and product placement. Yesterday the trio released a parody of the tremendously popular movie The Hangover to promote an energy shot called “Street King.” In the video 50 and Mayweather slip their buddy (played by Mike Tyson) a mysterious caffeinated syrup that sends them on an adventure so lame it makes Bieber-Gomez pajama parties look like an all-nighter in the red light district. The crew gets into a nasty pillow fight and Mike Tyson has what looks like a seizure.
Let’s look at both sides to this video:
The Bad: These three have once again proven that rappers and boxers aren’t naturally-gifted actors. It also looks like they hired a 2nd year college film student to direct the video. The quality of the production is on bar with a bad Bar Mitzvah video and there’s even basic continuity errors (ie: Tyson’s Martini glass magically turns into a scotch glass).
The Good: 50 may have accidentally created a very successful viral video. This could be it’s very own FAIL and has the potential to become a joke shared in email chains across the world. Unfortunately, people are going to be laughing at these three like internet memes (see: the Star Wars kid) instead of legitimately enjoying the parody.
So, let this be a lesson to all product-endorsing rappers and celebrities. The DIY approach to marketing isn’t always the best option. Sometimes it pays to hire a proper agency, but in this case, I’m glad 50 Cent chose to do it himself. It’s much funnier this way.

Actually, this should be no surprise since she is constantly seen performing on stage as if she’s a stripper by night and a call girl by late, late night.

Most people have a crappy part time job during college and spent the rest of their twenties broke. Allstar Weekend are just barely in their twenties and, thanks to their music, are doing well for themselves. We spoke to the guys about their first “major purchases” now that they have money in the bank.
Well that’s what one tipster is claiming. A source close to Ashanti is saying Nelly owes her $500,000. Nelly and Ashanti were on and off in a relationship for years.
The source told MediaTakeOut, “It’s not fair. Nelly has [over the course of their relationship] borrowed more than $500K from Ashanti. It was not gifts either, he promised to pay it all back.”
The tipster continued, “But Ashanti hasn’t seen one penny. He bought her a couple of dresses, and took her on some trips, but what about a check . . . He really needs to give her back her money.”
Granted, we don’t know Nelly very well, but we did interview him once. To this day, he is one of the nicest guys we ever met. So we have no proof that the tipster is wrong, but we certainly find it surprising.
Adele gives her money to charity and loved ones, reports Contact Music.
The jazz and blues singer claims she does so because she knows what it is like to struggle.
The 23-year-old singer claims she has had a tough upbringing, so after skyrocketing to fame, she wishes to help those in need.
“The cash has started trickling in, but I don’t come from any money so I help people. I give money to charity and to friends and family,” she says.
Adele hopes to take a break from making music soon, though, and insists she won’t hire help once she is on vacation.
“I have an assistant but I do my own washing. My auntie cleans for me, but I love a good clean as well,” she says to Britain’s Glamour magazine.
“And when all these squillion pounds come in, I’m having a f***ing break so I won’t need any help… I don’t need assistance getting myself to the pub.”
Just another reason to love her – very humble and hardworking. She definitely deserves a break too, and every penny she earns.
Lady Gaga is the highest paid celebrity under 30, reports Reuters.
The 25-year-old pop phenomenon topped Forbes ‘Highest Paid Celebrities Under 30′ list this year, earning a whopping $90 million dollars.
In second place comes 17-year-old Justin Bieber, who earned $53 million, while 26-year-old Lebron James is in third with $48 million.
Other notable mentions include Taylor Swift at No. 5, with $45 million, and Beyonce at No. 8, with $35 million. Beyonce was number one last year, where she earned $87 million, but that was most likely because she was touring.
Those who didn’t make the top ten include Rihanna at No. 11 and Lil Wayne at No. 20.

Looks like Lady Gaga’s crazy costumes are costing her more than just a lot of attention.
Gaga, who has gained millions with her multiple number one singles, went bankrupt after her 2009 Monster Ball Tour.
The tour, comprised of 200 shows over an 18-month period, ended in April 2011 and grossed nearly $200 million.
However, the show’s revenue was clearly not enough to cover the cost of Gaga’s extravagant costumes.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the pop star confessed her financial problems.
“I remember I called everybody and said, ‘Why is everyone saying I have no money?” she said.
“This is ridiculous, I have five No. 1 singles.’” Their reply? “Well, you’re $3 million in debt.”
Well, seeing with the recent release of Gaga’s new Born This Way album has outsold the UK top 10 charts, the flamboyant star probably won’t have a lot financial difficulties in the near future!

T.I. has helped the family members of fellow inmates, reports Vibe.
Currently behind bars for violating probation after being arrested for drug possession, the rapper apparently financed a bus trip for the families of 14 inmates to visit their loves ones at the facility.
The Atlanta rapper, who is serving an 11-month sentence, is currently at the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Forrest City, Arkansas, where he funded the families to visit.
The bus trip reportedly transported 46 friends and family members to the facility, where they were able to visit for two days.
T.I. previously spoke to MTV about his time in the slammer: “I’ve been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis. Unfortunately some guys aren’t as fortunate. There are a lot of good dudes in here that haven’t been able to see their loved ones in years. Their families can’t afford the trip so I wanted to help out.”
T.I. is scheduled to be released from the Forrest City Correctional Facility on September 29. The man has such a great heart, and this is one of those rare cases where you actually feel bad that he’s in jail, even though he deserved it. Can’t they let him out on terms of niceness and charitable behaviour?
Lady’s getting control of her life! We like it!
Pop queen Britney Spears has decided its time to regain control of her own finances. She’s been under financial conservatorship for a while now, but now she’s hired a tutor from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA to show her how to manage her cashflow better.
“She wants to win control of her finances,” a Spears insider says. “The tutor will help with basic skills – like balancing personal accounts and time management.”
Spears, who had a very public meltdown a few years ago and lost control of her finances, is rebounding with chart-topper “Hold it Against Me,” a take on the current dubstep trend in music. She’s also got a new boyfriend, ex manager Jason Trawick, and seems to be getting along very will with ex and babydaddy Kevin Federline. Overall, things are looking good for Britney!

Oh my Voldemort! It looks like the newest installment in the Harry Potter movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, has a stranglehold on the weekend’s box office digits.
Popeater is reporting that The Boy Who Lived generated 125.1 million dollars in domestic ticket sales, up from the previous installment’s 77.8 million dollar opener. Deathly Hallows made a record 24 million in midnight screenings alone.
When asked about the secret of success in the HP franchise, Warner Brothers rep Dan Fellman said “We have been able to keep our fan base as the characters have aged and the movies have become darker. And the three main actors have become really terrific, adult actors.”

Oh yeah! Pauly D is making lots of money. Yeah! The Jersey Shore cast member recently upped his appearance price by ten grand—asking $40,000 for just showing up.
The well-known DJ has used his star power and the help of talent agency William Morris Endeavor to bring in huge dollars for making appearances at clubs. “He was making about $30,000 an appearance before but the new asking price has been raised to $40,000,” a source said, according to RadarOnline.

RadarOnline.com reports that Jon Gosselin threatened wife Kate Gosselin that he would report her to Child Protective Services unless she paid him some cash. Hailey Glassman, Jon’s former girlfriend, has leaked the story to RadarOnline with all the juicy details.
Glassman says: “We were in bed and Jon called Kate on speaker phone. He wrote down what he wanted to say to her and then he read from his notes. He told her, ‘You either give me money, or I’m going to call CPS [Child Protective Services].’” Part of the plan came from Jon and Kate’s daughter Maddy hurting her arm; Jon threatened to tells authorities Kate harmed the 9-year-old.
On some of Jon’s hand written notes, he refers to himself in the third person. Some excerpts of the notes include “Jon giving Kate ultimatums. He privately extorts Kate. If you don’t do what I want, I’ll do this.” Another says, “Need 50k or 100k now. 24/48 hours or I’ll go to DA [district attorney].”

Although millions of women (and certainly some men) will be sad to see Oprah leave TV, not everybody is shedding a tear.
Apparently local TV station affiliates are happy to see “O” call it quits. According to an article in Broadcasting & Cable, Oprah’s replacement will undoubtedly save station and ownership groups cash.
“Oprah’s ratings have eroded so much that the image of Oprah is much stronger than the reality of Oprah, either as a news lead-in or as a money-maker,” says one station executive. “In many cases, Oprah is a stunning loss leader. There are people who are deeply thankful she is calling it quits.”
The article further explains that although Oprah’s replacement will unlikely attract Oprah ratings, the replacement will nevertheless be much cheaper.
Hollywood landmark or tragic scene?
TMZ is reporting that Brittany Murphy’s house is hitting the real estate market as her mom, Sharon Murphy, listed the L.A. mansion for US $7.25 million.
The spacious 8,000 square foot home, bought off Brittany Spears in 2004, is also known for being the location of Murphy’s death back in December, 2009.
CAD $34 million doesn’t go very far these days. Well, at least not in the hands of Heather Mills. The ex-wife of the legendary Beatle Paul McCartney has admitted that she has spent most of her CAD $34 million divorce settlement. It has only been 22 months since Mills received the money.
In an TV interview with psychologist Pamela Connolly, Mills said, “Most of it’s been given to charity, gone into ethical businesses or paid for a couple of properties for my daughter’s future security.”
Mills didn’t leave the interview without taking a few jabs at her ex-husband.
