Actress Michelle Rodriguez surrendered on Sunday, beginning her 180 days in jail for violating probation.
According to TMZ.com, Rodriguez drank alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, and did not provide proof of her completed community service. She was on probation for several crimes, including a hit a run and DUI.
This isn’t the first time Rodriguez has been to jail: she was sentenced to 60 days last year, but was released the same day because of overcrowding. She won’t be so lucky this time, however. The judge specifically sentenced her to spend all 180 days behind bars.
Merry Christmas, Michelle.
A former “Lost” actress has officially be outed.
Michelle Rodriguez is gay, according to Rodriguez’s girlfriend, Kristanna Loken, Canada.com reports.
Loken reportedly announced her relationship with Rodriguez in the gay magazine The Advocate, when a reporter for the magazine asked if the two were a couple.
“I don’t even know how to answer that. Just don’t look upstairs, OK?” Loken replied.
Loken and Rodriguez co-starred in the 2005 film “BloodRayne.”
Rodriguez has not commented on the matter.
Former “Lost” star Michelle Rodriguez is facing jail time yet again, according to eOnline.
This after the actress admitted to breaking her 2004 probation agreement for a DUI charge with the Los Angeles court systems.
Rodriguez was pulled over in Hawaii in December of last year and charged with DUI. She spent four days in jail and paid a $500 fine. It was because of this infraction she faced new charges in L.A., as the charges in Hawaii had violated her parole from her 2004 incident in L.A.
For her new sentence, it is expected she will spend 60 days behind bars, serve 30 days of community service for the L.A. Sheriff’s department and she must abstain from alcohol while undergoing an educational alcohol monitoring. As well, her probation was extended until 2009.
It is assumed Rodriguez will turn herself in by May 31.
One would think that on a show about plane crash survivors trapped on an island, the only casting changes would be when people die. But Lost has found a way to add Michelle Rodriguez.
Rodriguez appeared on the Lost season finale in May in a flashback scene, but ABC has now added her as a permanent member of the cast and will be seen when the second season air starting in September.
She played Ana-Lucia Cortez in the finale, and was shown talking to Jack, played by Matthew Fox, at an airport bar.
But just how will she surface on the island? Some possible scenerios:
-she was kidnapped by the “others” when the plane crashed
-the other half of the plane could have crashed somewhere else on the island
-she could be located where the hatch leads
This will be the first full-time television work for Rodriguez. She has appeared in such films as “Blue Crush,” “Fast and the Furious,” “S.W.A.T.,” and “Girlfight.”
