SNL Wants Robert Pattinson

On the red carpet for the 61st Annual Emmy Awards, E! News kicked off a campaign to get Twilight’s Robert Pattinson a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.

“We would love to get Robert Pattinson,” said Seth Meyers. “How dare you tell me he’s the hot guy from Twilight, like I don’t already know! We’re actually hoping if he’s not available, at least his hair will come by and host.”

“Oh yeah, he’d be great,” said Kristen Wiig.

Andy Samburg simply gave a thumbs-up and nodded when asked if he thought Pattison would do a good job hosting.

Season 35 of the sketch comedy show premieres on September 26. Megan Fox will have the honour of hosting while U2 performs as the musical guest.

Sequel To Transformers Hits $300 Million Mark

Critics may have given thumbs down to “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” but that sure isn’t stopping fans from watching the action flick on the silver screen.

After just 14 days in theatres, the sequel to the highly successful “Transformers” raked in an impressive $300 million in U.S. ticket sales, making it second to last summers blockbuster hit “The Dark Knight” in terms of box office figures.

The first film — starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox — grossed $319.2 million domestically during its entire time in theatres and $700 million worldwide.

Meanwhile, “Revenge of the Fallen” has already raked in $600 million internationally since its June 24 release, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.

Needless to say director Michael Bay is ecstatic over his movie that’s explosive both on screen and with the audience.

Megan Fox To Star In Border Thriller

Megan Fox has been cast as the lead in the Screen Gems thriller “The Crossing.”

The “Transformers” star will play one half of a couple who is returning from a Mexican vacation when they are carjacked and the husband is kidnapped. In order to free him, Fox’s character must smuggle heroin across the border.

Production on the movie could begin as early as July, says The Hollywood Reporter.

It’s the latest in a string of new projects for Fox, who will appear on the big screen later this year in the sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and the Diablo Cody-penned dark comedy-horror film “Jennifer’s Body.”

The 22-year-old has several other movies in the works, including the indie drama “Passion Plays” – in which she will play an angel opposite Mickey Rourke – the action Western “Jonah Hex” and the comic book-based adventure tale “Fathom.”

When it comes to life in Hollywood, it’s almost impossible to escape the spotlight. From breakups to hook-ups, to career breakthrough and downfalls—we know all about it.

And while some stars deserve the attention and fame—we can’t quite figure out why others get it. From the train wrecks to those that manage to lead somewhat normal lives, here’s a list of the top five under/over rated celebrities.

UNDERRATED:

5) Pussycat Dolls: While these dolls are better known for their minimal outfits or their “people can bend that way?” dance moves, they rarely get credit for their music.

Their most recent album ‘Doll Domination’ is actually really good (except for their hit single “When I Grow Up”). When you compare these gals to their less talented yet skankier music rivals (hint: Girlicious), these ladies deserve some true recognition for their work.

4) Natalie Portman: Besides her ridiculously stunning girl-next-door looks, Portman is one of the most undervalued actresses in Hollywood. We never hear about her personal life and, as far as we know, she’s one of the remaining few to never enter rehab. She blew us away with her acting chops in movies like The Other Boleyn Girl, V for Vendetta and Star Wars, proving she is more than just a pretty face.

3) Ellen Page: She’s only 22 and already she has a career people twice her age envy. She’s charming and witty and her character in Juno makes us wish we had her as a best friend. Best of all? She’s Canadian. How cool is that, eh?

2) Edward Norton: Hands down, ‘American History X’ is probably one of the best movies about neo-Nazis ever (minus a certain graphic scene in the prison shower). Either way, Norton has more talent in his pinky than some men have in their entire heads (not that one. Get your mind out of the gutter).

1) John Cusack: From his peculiar performance in War Inc to his eerie role in 1408 (which made me forever swear off hotel rooms with the same number), Cucask proves he’s more than a talented actor and, if you’ve seen him in any interview conferences, you’ll see he’s a complex man in real life. And while Hollywood does appreciate this man somewhat, they have yet to discover his true brilliance—and probably never will.

OVERRATED:

5) Tyra Banks: For a woman who uses the word “fierce” to describe models more times than we say “scripted” to describe ‘The Hills’, she really knows how to make a word overused. Even though I once adored Banks—I no longer can stand her. Her annoying, one-word-per-minute “Lets…find…out…who’s…going…home…and…who…has…another…chance…at…becoming…America’s…Next…Top….(Useless)….Model” speech makes my ears bleed. Kudos to her successful career and awful talk show but woman, please quit trying to be so…fierce!

4) Megan Fox: She’s stunning—I’ll give her that. But yeah, that’s about it. Have you ever seen/read an interview with her? She makes Hugh Hefner’s Bunnies all look like Einstein. Now that’s not something you want on your résumé.

3) John Mayer: Sure he wooed us with “Your Body is A Wonderland” but it kinda stopped right there. This fame-whore is irritable and down right pathetic. Somehow Jennifer Aniston finds/found him attractive. I just don’t see it.

2) Jonas Brothers: Remember B4-4? Yeah I don’t. If their fame expired, why are these boys still around? Their songs aren’t catchy and the eldest reminds me of a creepy old man who somehow thinks it’s cool to pretend he’s still sixteen. Blah.

1) Miley Cyrus: Russell Brand said it best in an interview with MTV. Upon hearing that Cyrus released her memoir “Miles to Go”, he said the following: “She’s only been alive half an hour. What’s she going to say: ‘The womb was warm’?” Damn straight. At her age, no matter all the “hardships” she may have gone through, she doesn’t have enough valuable life experiences to really pen a book. Maybe she should grow up first. But then again, this is the girl who claims she will “ruin” Radiohead for giving her the cold shoulder at the Grammys. This child needs to get spanked. And not by her boyfriend.

The Prerogative – Halle Berry and Megan Fox

TRASHY VS. SEXY

Note to Hollywood: trashy is not sexy.

It seems like a simple concept, no? And yet, Megan Fox is on this month’s cover of GQ looking trash-tastic and not sexy. Meghan Fox is hot. Yes. No argument there. But sexy, she is not. Okay, maybe sometimes. Hey, disagree with me all you want but Megan Fox embodies all that is wrong with the girls of this generation. The girls who have grown up with Bratz dolls (trashy) and whose role models are the Pussy Cat Dolls (super trashy). These girls look to Megan Fox to define what it means to be sexy.

But, as usual, I digress. In the midst of this cultural misunderstanding of sexiness, Esquire magazine went against the recent trashy trend and pegged Halle Berry as this year’s Sexiest Woman Alive. Holler.

Halle Berry is sexy. Hands down. Aside from Catwoman- let’s pretend Halle never tainted her movie repertoire with that cinematic atrocity- her talent and beauty have propelled her onto the A-list and into that illustrious list of actresses who’ve managed to combine class and sex appeal.

Grace Kelly. Audrey Hepburn. Julia Roberts. Charlize Theron. Halle Berry.

Granted, not all of the above women have posed provocatively on magazine covers or partaken in many nude (or semi-nude) scenes. Granted, Halle is posing in barely-there tank tops and her underwear in the photo spread in Esquire. But for some reason, Halle in minimal clothing is not trashy. It’s sexy.

Knowing when to take your clothes off is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Talent is sexy. Self-actualization is sexy.

Girlfriend’s got that all down. She even managed to grab this coveted title just six months after giving birth — to, like, the most beautiful baby of all time, I might add.

So here’s what, in her OWN words, the world’s sexiest lady has to say about being sexy:

“Sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you damn near get hip dysplasia; it’s about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind — a comfortable state of being. It’s about loving yourself even in your most unlovable moments.”

You tell ‘em, Halle. Note: Penning her own cover article in Esquire is totally sexy- even if she got mad help from writer Tom Chiarella.

So what does Ms Berry think is sexy? Forearms, finger fed-spaghetti, sloe gin fizz and her man’s car.

Megan Fox, are you taking notes? Sucking an ice cube in your bikini, talking about cupping your man’s dick in public and sharing details about your lesbian fling with a stripper is NOT SEXY. It’s trashy, trashy, trashy.

I wonder if Megan will ever transition from trashy one-movie wonder to sexy screen goddess like that actress she’s being constantly compared to: Angelina Jolie- the one and only. Remember when Angie was brash, dating Billy Bob and bordering on trashy?

I think Megan could possibly have it in her. But only- and this is the key to separating trashy from sexy- if she’s got enough going on up there (in the brain area people). Can her mental capacity match her physical hotness?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Halle says it best: “It’s about what you know as much as it is what you offer.”

So here’s what I will say to the young ladies of Generation Y. If you MUST, and only if you must, look to Hollywood for role models or for barometers of acceptable sexiness- here’s a short guide.

Angelina on the cover of W sweetly smiling into the camera while breastfeeding her newborn twins. Sexy.

Those leaked photos of Miley Cyrus in a wet tank top puckering her lips to the camera. Trashy.

Scarlett Johansson fully clothed on the cover of Cosmo Girl being outspoken about her political beliefs. Sexy

Fergie. Trashy.

Natalie Portman. Sexy.

You got it? Good. Now, leave the booty-shaking behind, arm yourself with confidence and intelligence and my friends, SEXY, you shall be.

Megan Fox Is Single

Great news, guys: Megan Fox is finally on the market.

According to reports, the Transformers hottie called off her engagement to former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green last week, and the two have split for good.

“Megan still cares about Brian, but she now realises she’s too young to marry him,” says a source close to Fox.

The 22-year-old actress dated 34-year-old Green, for four years, and got engaged in November 2006. It was her first engagement, but Green’s second.

Green was previously engaged to co-star Vanessa Marcil, with who he has a six-year-old son.

Fox, who has been called a young Angelina Jolie, was voted “World’s Sexiest Woman” by British magazine FHM earlier this year.

Megan Fox may have been voted the Sexiest Woman Alive by FHM, but she might be a bit insecure.

Fox has banned brunettes from the set of the “Transformers” sequel, filming now.

“Megan is definitely the star of the sequel, and she wants to keep it that way,” a source told PopCrunch.com.. “It’s fine with her if there are hot blondes in the film, but she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want any brunettes.”

The 22-year-old is engaged to “90210″ actor Brian Austin Green, but recent rumours about her behaviour with other men cause concern whether the couple will make it down the aisle.

Megan Fox: Teenage Shoplifter

“Transformers” star Megan Fox may be able to get into a lot of exclusive clubs now, but there’s one place she’s definitely not welcome: Wal-Mart.

The 21-year-old is banned from a Florida branch in her hometown, after she was caught shoplifting a $7 tube of lip gloss during her rebellious teenage years.

A source close to the starlet told the National Enquirer that Fox “was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers.”

Fox denied taking the lip gloss even after security told her she was caught on video, and tried to talk her way out of it. “But when they threatened to call the police, Megan broke down in tears and confessed,” claims the friend.

Fox’s spokesperson refused to comment.

Fox’s Tattoo Tribute To Dead Ex

TRANSFORMERS star MEGAN FOX has a tattooed dedication to her late ex.

The actress impressed tragic Chris Melik’s family when she put her Hollywood career on hold to fly back to Florida for her former boyfriend’s funeral in 2004 – and she has since etched a permanent reminder of the sports star on her skin.

It’s one of nine “special” tattoos the actress boasts.

Melik’s father Robert admits he’ll always be touched by how much Fox, who wowed everyone by attending the funeral in a red dress, loved his son: “He was a special kid, and so is Megan. That’s why she made the trip across the
