Matt Damon is “Claus For A Cause.” As part of a guerrilla effort to help promote a clean water initiative, Mr. Damon went undercover and tried to convince kids to ask for a water bottle for Christmas.

In the video, he’s essentially the butt of the joke as none of the children have any idea who “Matt Damon” is. Dressed in a full Santa costume, he gets humbled by one child in particular who tells him she does, however, know Ben Affleck.

As far as philanthropy goes, no one does it like Damon. This video is reminiscent of his Entourage cameo when he stalks Vincent Chase to write a cheque for his ONEXONE effort.

Personally, I don’t mind when celebrities communicate a message doing what they’re good at: entertaining. If more notable faces stopped preaching and tried something unique, more fans would happily donate.

After consecutive badass roles as a bomb specialist in Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, followed by a cold-blooded Boston thug with a short temper in Ben Affleck’s The Town (both of which garnered Oscar nominations), Jeremy Renner has been chosen to carry on the Bourne franchise.

Perez Hilton is reporting that while Renner will replace Matt Damon as the face of the film, he will not be playing the same character, Jason Bourne. Shockingly however, Renner’s character will also “work for a covert government program.” Originality was never the franchise’s strong suit.

Renner has come a long way from his days as Dagostino in National Lampoons Senior Trip, but there is no denying his profound acting ability.  Looks like the franchise is in good hands.

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn’s reps can deny it all they like, but the duo are clearly romantically involved. Celebrity-gossip. net reports that the couple took a last minute trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico yesterday where they had a quick dinner because Johansson had to get back to L.A. in the morning to continue filming “We Bought a Zoo” with Matt Damon.

Earlier in the week, the twosome was seen lunching at the popular Los Angeles Cuban restaurant, Versailles, where the actor and actress seemed a little closer than friends as Johansson had her leg conspicuously draped over Penn.

After a two year marriage with Ryan Reynolds that ended in December, it’s no surprise that Johansson, one of the most sought after and popular young actresses, would be courted once again. Penn is somewhat of an interesting counterpart as he is about 25 years her senior. However, both are powerhouse actors with busy schedules. Maybe this relationship will work out a la Tom Cruise and Katy Holmes?

As Super Bowl Sunday is basically a national holiday for Americans, what better way to celebrate the event than a low budget comedy spoof. And why not throw Matt Damon in on the bit just for fun.

Resident ESPN jokester Kenny Mayne took a visit to Greenfield, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Penn., where Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy grew up. This is quite a coincidence of coursase  the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Green Bay Packers tonight.

Matt Damon appears in the skit as an over-the-top crank in his role as a high-school rival. Damon of course went to school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is much younger than McCarthy.

Didn’t Jeff Bridges win the coveted Oscar for best male lead last year for playing a washed up alcoholic musician? Well, he essentially plays the same character, minus the dramatic love story with a woman 20 years his junior, in the Coen Brother’s newest film, True Grit. Bridges stars as Rooster Cogburn, stubborn US Marshall who sets out to help an overtly precocious 14 year-old-girl, Mattie (Hailee Steinfeld), find the man who murdered her father, Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin). The dynamic duo is also aided by another bounty hunter, LaBeouf (Matt Damon) who is after the same man.

The film is a remake of a 1969 John Wayne film of the same name. Wayne won his sole Oscar for his performance in the film. Although I have not seen it, it seems that Bridges does not do Wayne justice. The role of a drunken fool is too easily played by Bridges as he doesn’t add anything illuminating to the character. However, the audience can almost smell the whisky seeping from his breath even through the screen.

I had high hopes for this film because it is the Coen Brothers. I was expecting something more akin to No Country for Old Men but the film bares no resemblance. Instead, True Grit is a true western film in the classic Americana sense. Its an entertaining film from a passive standpoint. Lest the gore, it would be a holiday family film. I feel like I needed to get a glass of milk and some Oreos. It’s a predictable nostalgic ride to the simpler times of the 50s and 60s

Why did the Coen Brothers decide to regurgitate a hackneyed dated plot with stereotypical roles? It seems like an odd choice for the brothers who usually bring the quirkiest characters to the screen. It really doesn’t bare the mark of Coen. Altogether, the film is not bad, it is just disappointing if you are going into it expecting a Coen Brothers film.

Actor Matt Damon has just welcomed a new life into his world – and according to Pop Eater, it’s another little girl.

Stella Zavala Damon was delivered in New York this past Wednesday to Damon and his wife Luciana. “Mom and baby are both healthy,” Damon’s rep said. “The whole family is thrilled.”

Baby Stella’s three sisters, Gia, Isabella, and Alexia, are sure to be excited about their family’s newest addition.

Looks like the Damon household is going to stay a girls club! Congratulations!

The NBA Finals kicked off Thursday night, with the Boston Celtics losing to the Los Angeles Lakers.  As is tradition, the two teams’ cities will work out a bet, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has already put up a big prize, reports E! Online.

The Lakers’ biggest celebrity fan, Jack Nicholson, has been offered up by L.A., and if the Lakers lose, he will have to appear in a commercial for Boston, dressed in Celtics green.

Villaraigosa’s bet also makes certain that the stakes will be equal, saying “Should the Lakers prevail, we will gladly accept your hometown boys, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, as spokespersons for a public service announcement extolling the virtues of the City of Los Angeles, where the climate, the beaches, and the food are far superior.”

As of yet, there is no word whether Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has accepted or not, we’re hoping this big bet will become official.

In a real-life re-enactment of an Entourage episode, Mark Wahlberg will head to the golf course with series stars Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrera.

The group will play at L.A.’s Wilshire Country Club this Monday at a charity event for The Mark Wahlberg Youth foundation.

Along with the Entourage will be fellow actors Jack Nicholson, Don Cheadle, Greg Kinnear, Jon Hamm and James Denton.

“I cannot be put in this position and forget where I came from,” Mark explained to etonline.com. “A lot of people don’t have the opportunity to really get a second chance, so we try to create an opportunity for the kids.”

Geez, it gets better and better. Following the season six finale bonus scene of Entourage with Matt Damon leaving Vince a psychotic voice mail, I just stumbled upon some raw footage of a second bonus scene. It appears to be a segment where Vince is getting chewed up by Damon while filming a ‘Save the Children’ commercial. Or is it real, and is Damon actually tearing up Adrian Grenier. You decide.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been good friends and writing partners for awhile, but now it’s reveled the two are actually distantly related, reports E! News. The New England Genealogical Society says both actors are descendants of bricklayer William Knowlton Jr., making Damon and Affleck tenth cousins, once removed.

Affleck is also revealed to be related to 16 American presidents, and Princess Diana, while Damon shares DNA with 11 former presidents.

“Ben is an eleventh cousin to Obama,” said genealogist Chris Child. “We just found that connection this week. They share a common ancestor in the Hinckley family of Cape Cod. It might be kind of one of those neat things to say at cocktail parties.”

Another season cometh and went for HBO’s Entourage, and what ironically made the season finale was one of the celebrity cameo appearances by Oscar winner Matt Damon- who played himself trying to “Jason-Bourne” Vince into donating money to his Children’s Charity.

It’s pretty clear that Damon’s performance was truly a gut-buster. I personally was on the couch cracking up seeing him repeatedly stick-arm Vince into joining the foundation, donating money, and then donating more money.

Though the real performance came in the post-episode credits where we see Damon really lose a gasket. Check it out.

This Week On Entourage:

On the day before he leaves to Italy, Vince tries to get the boys to come with him, but only manages to get Drama. Turtle still trying to get over Jamie, and tries to forget about her with the college dorm girl. And Eric says he’s going to try and get Sloan back -but the guys think it’ll be pretty hard.

Meanwhile, Ari and his wife meet with the therapist to discuss why his wife should lend him $12 million to help buy Terrance’s agency. But after Ari admits why he truly wants to buy it and pours his heart out, she agrees to spot him the money.

Despite Lloyd’s suggestion, Drama decides not to read for any acting gigs, saying he’s taking a break from it for a while. While shopping with Vince, the two run into Matt Damon who tries to pressure Vince into donating a cheque for his children’s charity.

Eric drives Sloan to a surprise location, refusing to reveal the day’s events. But after he takes her to a special restaurant that they went to while they were a couple -to tell her that they should get back together- Sloan refuses to listen to him, and tells him to take her home.

Turtle tries to forget about Jamie with the college chick, but realizes he can’t. He decides that he should go New Zealand to get her back.

At the agency merging meeting, Ari finds out that Terrance put a last-minute clause in the buying contract, stating that the agency name must remain in Terrance’s name.

Back at home, Vince and Drama get a call from Matt Damon who continues to pressure Vince into donating money. Turtle comes home and tells them that he’s been lying to himself about getting over Jamie, and that he’s going to see her. After seeing Turtle’s performance, Drama reconsiders his decision about leaving the industry, and realizes that he was born to be an actor.

Terrance drops by Ari’s office, and the two exchange their nagging thoughts that they’ve been carrying all these years. After Terrance apologizes, Ari finally accepts peace, and assures him that he’ll keep Terrance’s name in the merger.

Drama gets another shot at the Melrose audition, and nails it. Meanwhile, driving back home, Eric pulls over and confesses his love to Sloan, swearing that he’ll be committed and proposes to her.

Ari strolls through Terrance’s agency on a celebratory rant with a paintball gun, pegging everyone who he had grudges with- including Adam Davies. Though, he gives Lloyd a 24-hr window to come back to the Miller-Gold agency.

While about to takeoff on his flight, Turtle calls Jamie, but she tells him not to come to New Zealand, and that the long distance aspect will never work out. But the plane takes off, so he decides he’ll meet up with Vince in Italy.

And about to leave to Italy with Vince, Drama gets a call from the Melrose producer who admits that he and the network both loved his performance, but that he’s too old for the part. As a result, they want to give Drama a holding-deal to create his own show.

Lloyd comes back to the Miller-Gold agency in agent-fashion, giving Ari a ballsy rant. But when Ari apologizes and shows him his new agent office, Lloyd happily accepts.

About to take-off, Vince and Drama are ambushed by Matt Damon who brings along LeBron James to persuade Vince to donate $150,000 for Matt’s charity.

Eric and Sloan meet them at the airport to break them the big news that they’re engaged- Sloan showing them the diamond ring. As Vince and Drama leave on the private jet, Eric carries Sloan to the car in bliss.

Watching the new couple leave, Vince and Drama wonder which one of them will be next to get hitched.

Let me put it out there. Despite the opinions about the unorthodox story-line this season, if there’s one thing this show knows how to do, it’s to close the deal. Entourage knows how to close perfectly.

Not only that, but this one episode presented two of the top greatest moments in the show’s history.

A) Seeing Ari Gold go Terminator a la paintball gun through an agency.

and

B) Through an unpredicted turn of events, seeing Eric get hitched with Sloan- a feat that makes any guy, no matter how much of a man-whore he is, wish to god he found the “Sloan.”

And the celeb cameos were overflowing like a fresh bottle of Dom Pérignon. Matt Damon, a webcam Bono, LeBron James. I mean this episode was awesome, upon awesome.

Not to mention that Matt Damon gave one of the funniest celeb cameos this show has ever seen. I mean pressuring a celebrity Jason-Bourne style to donate to the charity. Hilarious.

So let’s recap.

—> Ari Gold: He buys Terrance’s agency, makes peace with his foe, and becomes the King Kong of Hollywood. And did a celebration fit for a king- paintball storming through the agency, pegging off any people he had grudges with. And putting the hardships aside with Lloyd, and surprising him with his induction as a real agent back at Miller-Gold was the icing on the cake. Who were we kidding, Ari needs Lloyd just as much as Lloyd needs Ari.

—> Vince: Funny seeing him be pressured by Matt Damon. But he’s off to FINALLY begin filming his next project, which means…the real Vinnie Chase in Season 7.

—> Eric: Oh boy, what can we say about our lovable Irish buddy. Well for starters, Mazel Tov. That spontaneous proposal couldn’t have made any dude more happier. The Sloan n’ E Saga continues.

—> Turtle: Bruuuutal. Dude, always stay with the smoking college chick. But he had to find out the hard way that long distance relationships rarely work out. We left off with him making his way to Rome. We’ll see what happens.

—> Drama: The guy finally put his antics aside and realized his passion for acting. And what did it do? It made the network want him more than ever. Way to go buddy.

Matt Damon was in Toronto earlier this month to host the One x One gala.

As he strutted down the red carpet, time was ticking and he had to get inside, for the show was about to begin.

According to CTV.ca, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana welcomed their second child on Wednesday.

The baby’s name is Gia Zavala Damon and Damon’s spokeswoman, Jennifer Allen said, “Everyone is great and she is a healthy, beautiful baby girl.”

This is the couple’s second child together.

In 2006 Luciana gave birth to the couples first child, Isabella.

Luciana also has a ten-year-old daughter from her first marriage.

After gaining weight for a movie, Matt Damon thinks he’s about to lose the title of “Sexiest Man Alive,” reports People magazine.

The Oscar-winner gained between 20 and 30 pounds for his upcoming thriller, “The Informant.”

“It wasn’t necessarily that I needed to be fat,” he said. “It was that I needed to be ‘doughy.’”

So how did the actor pack on the extra weight?

“I just stopped working out and basically just ate whatever I wanted,” he said. “I ate a lot of In-N-Out, a lot of burgers, a lot of beer and basically had a great time … When you’re in your 20s you can do that kind of stuff. When you’re in your 30s, it’s a whole different ballgame.”

Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon have joined up for another project, but it’s not “Ocean’s 14.”

The trio lent their star power to an advertising campaign aimed at boosting aid for Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), which was devastated by a cyclone last month.

The campaign is sponsored by the U.S.-based activist group “Not On Our Watch,” which is headed up by Pitt, Clooney and Damon alongside fellow actor Don Cheadle, producer Jerry Weintraub and human rights lawyer David Pressman.

The full-page ad, which the group took out in Indonesian English language daily “The Jakarta Post” Wednesday, urges neighbouring countries to push Myanmar’s junta to allow more foreign aid into the country, which the reclusive regime has been reluctant to accept.

“Burma’s neighbours have the power to help victims who remain desperately in need,” says the advertisement, which is signed by Asian political figures and Nobel laureates.

According to the junta, the cyclone on May 2 and 3 left around 138,000 people missing or dead, and the UN estimates that 2.4 million people are still in need of aid.

Hollywood is experiencing a serious baby boom. Adding to the long list of expectant celebrity parents are Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana.

The couple is expecting their second child together, E! News confirms.

It seems like the Damons had no choice but to announce the pregnancy after Luciana debuted a growing baby bump at the red carpet of London’s Empire Film Awards Sunday.

The pair already have a two-year old daughter, Isabella. Luciana also has a nine-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.

Damon recently signed on to make a fourth film in the Bourne franchise.

Jason Bourne is set to hit the big screen again.

Universal Pictures has confirmed they are coming out with another installment of the hit Bourne series, with Matt Damon reprising his role as the titular trained assassin.

Paul Greengrass, who directed the second and third movies in the series, will return to helm part four.

The upcoming film will be based on the book “The Bourne Legacy,” which was penned by Eric Van Lustbader rather than the author of the original three novels, Robert Ludlum.

The Bourne trilogy has been a whopping success for Universal, having grossed over $945 million worldwide.

The third installment, “The Bourne Ultimatum,” took home three Oscars at Sunday night’s ceremony, winning for best sound editing, best film editing and best sound mixing.
