From ‘Nuthin But a G’ Thang’ to ‘Regulate’, Jimmy Fallon now has Brian Williams rapping along to N.W.A’s ‘Straight Outta Compton.’
This is almost as good as the mash-ups of Barack Obama singing along to hits such as ‘Call Me Maybe’ and ‘Sexy and I Know It.’
Now if only we found out what Brian Williams thinks of all of this!!
MadMixMustang‘s mash-up of Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and Madonna’s “Vogue” is truly iconic.
See what I did there? It’s because “Vogue” is an iconic song and it’s being mashed up with Icona Pop. No, it’s not funny? Fine, whatever. I’m going to play this on repeat all day as I make myself giggle with my rather large dossier of bad jokes.
If you don’t have a wide range of bad jokes to tell yourself, you might as well take a listen to this anyways. It’s pretty badass.
Step aside, Jay-Z. If Bey is the Queen, then this man is the King.
It’s one thing to cover Beyonce. It’s another to take all of her best songs, combine them in a perfectly arranged acapella mash-up, and then sing it as a duet…with YOURSELF. Sound too good to be true? Well, clearly you’ve never been privy to the talent that is Cameron J.
There truly are no words for this. Just watch in total shock and awe with your mouth dangling open and try to control the drool.
If there’s one mash-up you listen to today, this should probably be it.
Writing songs about heartache is something both Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift are known for. So when a mastermind of music technology joined the forces of these two powerhouses, one heck of an amazing track was born.
In this video, Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack” and Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You were Trouble” get the mash-up treatment. The track is called “I Knew You Had a Heart Attack” and is all kinds of awesome.
If you’ve carefully listened to any song on the top 40 charts, chances are you’ll hear a whole lotta’ product placement.
Analyzing the current retail value of various products name-dropped in popular hip-hop/pop songs, NYC digital artist Joe Sabia and the members of The Key of Awesome list out general prices of things ranging from electronics to luxury fashion designers in a fun little mash-up.
I do have to say that while the performance isn’t the greatest, you gotta give these guys some props, yo!
While they may not be as young and hip like we are, this video sure makes me think about the amount of influence music has on our spending habits.
It’s like a mash up of epic proportions as Slacktory brings Jurassic Park and Star Wars together to make one kick-ass trailer.
Everything about it is so good: Luke as that annoying kid, Han Solo as Jeff Goldblum and the Imperial Walkers as the dinosaurs. The only thing I would’ve liked to see is well, an actual dinosaur. Would having a T-Rex or Velociraptor staring down C-3PO be too much to ask?
WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:
While on a recent visit to Australia’s Fifi & Jules, Ed Sheeran partnered up with Passenger to create this unbelievable mash up of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop.”
This is a much watch because it’s is just kind of amazing. Scratch that— it’s really amazing.
Has T-Swift’s new song Trouble gone to the toilet? Well not exactly. Last week, we brought you the catchy tune featuring a screaming goat but this week, she was unwillingly teamed up with a motion activated paper towel dispenser.
To see a seemingly “mature” Taylor (at least that’s what she wants us to believe) jump around and grovels on the ground and then, BAM! The dispenser emerges. I gott say this duo works. We knew you were trouble, Taylor, when you tried to make your self edgy. Fail!
I don’t have many words to say for this video other than I pretty much sprayed my drink all over the place from laughing so hard.
Mashing up the 1987 War movie Full Metal Jacket with Disney characters’ voices, YouTuber DingDangler has managed to take something serious and make it hysterical.
I can only think of a handful of American actors (Elijah Wood, Gwyneth Paltrow and Renée Zellweger, to name a few) who can do successfully do an English accent. But as far as the majority goes, the results are often quite disastrous.
I’ve never understood why directors don’t choose to hire British actors to play BRITISH CHARACTERS. Maybe they think the name of the actor will help boost sales. But honestly, I just think that’s just too big a risk to take.
(And as for Nicolas Cage’s accent, I’m just going to go out and say that he was acting like himself.)
Glee is my secret guilty pleasure. From the show’s addictive storylines to the cast’s ever-so-catchy covers, I just have to keep tuning into the show over and over again to see what happens next.
So in anticipation of the show’s fourth season (which begins on Sept. 13), a mash-up sung by the cast features the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Bieber!!
Singing Spears’ ‘Boys’ and Bieber’s ‘Boyfriend’ , the song will surely be a hit with the ladies as heartthrobs Darren Criss and Kevin McHale can be heard singing and evidently, melting all of our hearts.
It’s been 20 years that we’ve all been singing along to Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.” You just can’t deny that it’s an awesome song and you have to rap along to it.
YouTube user dondrapersayswhat did the unthinkable and made the greatest mashup I’ve ever seen. He commented: “Clips from 295 movies used to recreate Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Baby Got Back, because I’m just that much of a nerd.” Looks like he had a lot of time on his hands, but it definitely payed off because the whole thing brought back memories from tons of my favourite movies.
You can see everyone from John Travolta, Ben Affleck, Sylvester Stallone, Vince Vaughn, Chucky, as well as cartoon appearances from Batman, Bugs Bunny and many more. Don’t worry, if you forgot the words, he added in captions below to sing along.
Because this is absolutely necessary, here is a video mash-up of a bunch of people dancing during their church masses.
Set to Skrillex’ Reptile, it becomes clear that praising God can also involve some hardcore dubstepping. My personal favourite move from all of this is the epileptic hair whipping.
Though I have to warn you. Whipping your hair too hard may cause some of it…to fall off.
I’ve never thought much of Victoria Justice’s singing (as I only knew her from Zoey 101), but I have to admit the girl can sing!
Teaming up with Max and Kurt Schneider, together, they sing a mash-up of Bruno Mars’ hit singles in a video that looks like it was all shot in one take.
While I’m probably past my prime for Nickelodeon shows, I do have to say that their rendition is quite awesome.

Whenever Jay-Z’s music joins forces with any musician, the outcome is always awesome.
In a mash-up with Flight of the Conchords, we get a wonderful combo of Hova’s song “Hola’Hovito and the comedic band’s “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room).
Jay’s songs always seem to made for mash-ups. Having been added to music with The Beatles, Linkin Park and Radiohead, now we can hear Jay’s song mixed along with a comedy tune.
Weezer will include a track featuring hip-hop star Lil Wayne on their new album, MTV News reports.
Raditude, scheduled to debut on November 3rd, is the seventh studio album by the rock group, and front man Rivers Cuomo said it was a chance, “to do something totally different.”
If you’re familiar with Weezer’s edgy, upbeat rock sound, urban music is far from characteristic of their style. Cuomo told MTV News that he wrote the song, titled “Can’t Stop Partying,” with music industry dynamo Jermaine Dupri. “It was a real challenge for me, taking his ideas, which are very slick, R&B party [ideas], and giving it some kind of edge, some darkness, making it work with rock, making it work with Weezer,” said Cuomo.
But Lil Wayne is no stranger to Rock. He appeared on Fallout Boy’s last album, and is continuing to pursue his own solo rock-inspired project named Rebirth. Experience, though, doesn’t necessarily imply success. His rock endeavours have been praised for their daring ingenuity, but not necessarily their sound. Ingenuity is one thing that the music pair share though, so it will be interesting to hear the final product of their collaboration.
