Would you ever consider putting Mario Lopez and a bunch of snakes in the same sentence? Cobra Starship would. Gabe and Alex chat with @Jordans_life about their new single “#1Nite” and what better idea was it to actually add in the hashtag, for Twitter — duh! Gabe mentions that the music video has a road trip vibe with My Name Is Kay (who features on the track) that was influenced by one of his favourite 90s movies, “True Romance.”

Can somebody please give Mario Lopez a job?
You know the famed “Saved by the Bell” actor is out of work when he spends all is time on his dog’s Twitter account. Yes, Mario Lopez, 38, is tweeting on behalf of his French bulldog, Julio CC Lopez.
Okay, I admit, Julio is adorable and I’ve created a Facebook account for my own dog so I guess I’m a hypocrite when I say Mario’s acting like a child. But Mario is going a little overboard with his/Julio’s tweets. For instance:

It’s as if Mario is trying to pick up some chicks through Julio. Are dogs the new wingman, now?

Julio is basically the dog version of David Duchovny in “Californication”, is he not? Mario’s just got to unleash his sexual frustration in a more mature way. You can’t always hide behind a dog’s Twitter account.
Mario Lopez has been planning a VH1 reality series about being a first-time father for a few months now, and it seems like shooting can finally begin.
Popeater reports that Mario Lopez and girlfriend, dancer Courtney Laine Mazza, welcomed their latest prop — er, baby daughter, into the world yesterday. Gia Francesca Lopez was born in California weighing 6 lbs, 4 oz. The family is doing very well.
When reached for comment, the former “Saved by the Bell” star sounded like a very proud papa. “We are so overjoyed,” Lopez gushed. “What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world.”
Aside from the pending reality show, Lopez has also contemplated writing a book about the quandaries and qualms of first-time dads. “Guys want to help, too,” Lopez stated. “There are tons of books for moms, but dads want to know what’s going on with the lady and the baby, both emotionally and physically.”
Sounds like baby Gia is already a great source of creativity and inspiration for Mario! It’s so inspiring to see a former A-lister driven to help fellow young dads. We’re sure he’s in it for the sense of community and charity he’s sure to feel whenever someone drops $29.99 on his new daddy manual. Celebrity altruism at its finest!
All kidding aside, we wish all the best to the Lopez family. Babies are always happy news! Just don’t call the show “Saved by the Baby,” okay?
Everyone’s favourite geek is back, and he’s spilling the Bayside beans. However, not everyone is jumping for scandalous joy.
Perez Hilton recently blogged that Dustin Diamond (better known as Samuel “Screech” Powers on the 90′s TV sitcom hit “Saved By the Bell”) has less juice to squeeze out than a marshmallow. Hilton feels Diamond’s tell-all book entitled, “Behind the Bell” is less of a get-up and more of a let-down.
According to recent releases from the book, Diamond claims he could smell a “certain smoke” coming from the other cast members’ dressing rooms. He also claims that Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played every pre-teen girl’s crush Zack Morris, used steroids before filming “Saved By the Bell: The College Years.”
Life isn’t very sweet right now for Sugar Ray front man Mark McGrath.
People magazine reports that McGrath has just been booted from his hosting duties for “Extra,” in favour of Mario Lopez.
“Mario … has established himself as a highly engaging, likeable and sought-after host and personality,” read the statement from Telepictures Productions.
McGrath will apparently resume working on his music career.
On-and-off-screen couple Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff, both from “Dancing with the Stars”, have officially called it quits.
“Karina has parted ways with her two-year relationship with Mario Lopez,” says Smirnoff’s publicist, Melissa Berger. “The relationship wasn’t heading in the right direction.”
In return, Lopez issued this statement:
“Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other,” he said. “She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life.”
Although the duo was photographed together on several occasions, the pair never publicly acknowledged the romance until media outlets claimed the relationship was on the rocks.
“Mario and I are fine. Everything’s good,” Smirnoff then told E! News. Added Lopez: “It’s all good.”
Recently single pop star Britney Spears was spotted partying in Las Vegas over the weekend with none other than Mario Lopez, (much) better known as A.C. Slater from “Saved by the Bell.”
Spears reportedly spent the weekend shopping, gambling and living it up in Sin City, according to People magazine.
Sources say that Spears hit a lucky streak at The Mint, the high-limit gambling area at Palms Casino Resort. She’s said to have won $10,000 U.S. at the blackjack table.
At the casino, Spears met Lopez (currently of “Dancing with the Stars” fame) and the two left with a small group of friends to hit Moon Nightclub.
