First Justin Timberlake accompanied Corporal Kelsey de Santis to the Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Virginia. Now, his Friends with Benefits co-star Mila Kunis has followed in his footsteps.
After asking her via YouTube as a dare from his fellow marines, Sgt. Scott Moore was lucky enough to be joined by actress Mila Kunis as he attended the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina, on Friday. Kunis had agreed to the date back in July during an interview with Fox11, after some coaxing from Timberlake.
“Hey Mila, Sgt. Moore, but you can call me Scotty,” Moore said in his YouTube invite to Kunis. “I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball with yours truly. So take a second to think about it and get back to me. All right, bye now.”
The sergeant made the YouTube account specifically for this occasion, titling it “GoWithMeMila“. Now that’s dedication!

“It was a blast, it was a great time,” Moore told Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts. “It exceeded my expectations.”
The sergeant added that he was surprised how down-to-earth Kunis was, and that she was very interested to learn about the Marines’ history. He also revealed that the two took to the dance floor during the gala, and when the night came to an end, Kunis promised to keep in touch.
Now that Kristin Cavallari is single and ready to mingle, she will be attending the Marine Corps Ball in San Diego.
TMZ reports Kristin was asked to attend the ball by Marine Jonathan Burkett via Twitter. The message said, ”Wanted to know if you want to go the the Marine Corps Ball with me in San Diego?! Would make a video but still deployed!”
Kristin quickly replied with, ”Would love to! When is it?”
The lesson here? You don’t know unless you try.
Even at 89 years old Betty White is still breaking hearts. Sgt. Lewis had asked Betty via YouTube join him at the Marine Corps Ball, but Betty had said “no.”
So what’s Betty’s excuse? Does she have to have dinner by 4 and be in bed by 6? Maybe, but she claims that there is a scheduling conflict.
“I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform…but unfortunately I cannot accept as I will be taping an episode of Hot in Cleveland,” White told Showbiz Tonight.
Poor Sgt. Lewis. But if he likes older women, maybe Ellen Albertini Dow is available. Remember the grandma in The Wedding Singer and a few other Sandler movies? She might be down.
Asking a celebrity to the Marine Corps Ball is becoming a right of passage. Sgt. Ray Lewis has stepped up to the plate and has asked the lovely Betty White to accompany him to the ball.
Lewis has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and he posted his video on Friday appealing to Betty. Lewis tried to sweet talk White by saying, ”She’s funny, she’s sweet, she’s mature, she’s the all around perfect woman.”

Sgt. Scott Moore recently made headlines after actress Mila Kunis accepted his YouTube invitation to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball held in November.
While he is still serving in Afghanistan, Moore spoke out on his invitation video saying how it started out as a bet.
“It was kind of a bet between me and Marines in my platoon,” he said when asked about how he came up with the idea of the video.
“I told everyone I was going to do it, but they didn’t think I would go through with it.”
But proving everyone wrong, he did it.
“One day we had a couple minutes, and I took another Marine out with me and we shot two takes. The first one was without sunglasses but I was squinting too much because it was so bright, so we shot the one I uploaded to YouTube. The rest of the Marines liked it, so I posted it that day.”
Scott, who has been contacted by Mila’s reps, also revealed that he didn’t have many doubts about scoring the date.
“Sometimes that’s all you need,” he said. “The Marines I work with did their best to spread it around.”
When he landed the date, he admitted, “My initial reaction was disbelief. It’s going to be a great experience to meet her, and it’s going to make the ball more special for everyone.”
Kunis agreed to go with Sgt. Moore to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18 in Greenville, North Carolina after hearing about the YouTube invitation during an interview with Fox411.
After Friends with Benefits co-star Justin Timberlake told her, “You need to do it for your country”, she consulted with her publicist and confirmed, “I’ll do it.”
Just when I thought Mila couldn’t get any cooler, she proved me wrong. It’s so great that she’s doing this as not only will it make Sgt. Moore a happy man, but also several Americans proud as well. What a great way to do her part as a citizen and serve her country!
