Well Snooki is getting an apology from the website that published an article reporting she was arrested for marijuana possession. It’s a lousy apology, but the whole situation is still pretty funny.
The site, MarijuanaMythbusters, printed a story with a headline reading: “Myth Busted: Snooki Not Arrested…Or Was She?” The site said,
“It seems as though our sources in Poughkeepsie, NY have pulled a practical joke on us. Apparently, Snooki was NOT arrested in Poughkeepsie, NY with 12 ounces of marijuana in her possession,” the site explained, after printing a story stating exactly that. “However there was some truth to the article in that possession of more than 8 ounces of marijuana in the state of New York is a felony. Sorry for not researching our stories in more detail, we simply assumed that Poughkeepsie Journal would have covered the story as we were under the impression it was true.”
Sounds like a heartfelt apology…..
A website is claiming Jersey Shore’s Snooki was arrested in New Jersey with a ton of marijuana. Snooki claims the story is a complete lie, and she is very pissed.
Here’s a small problem with the story – Snooki wasn’t even in New Jersey when the alleged arrest happened.
Snooki’s rep tells TMZ, “The report is 100% false. As Ms. Polizzi’s legal counsel is currently investigating this matter, we cannot comment any further except to assure the public and Ms. Polizzi’s fans that this story is a complete fabrication.”
The story is still developing.
Oh boy! Soulja Boy better work that orange jumpsuit. He may be wearing it for a while.
The 21-year-old rapper whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was arrested this morning in Temple, Georgia for weed possession.
TMZ reports cops say Soulja was in a car with four other men and a ton of marijuana. All five men were arrested on the spot.
It’s also alleged that there were guns in the car, but police have not confirmed this.
It sure is a coincidence he’s arrested a few days before the release of his Soulja Boy: The Movie DVD. Or is it?
Municipalities around North America – take note on the city of Philadelphia. Apparently city leaders of the this great city have finally woken up to the reality of the world by not prosecuting small marijuana busts.
Gawker reports Philadelphia instituted this new policy, and has saved $2 Million in the process. If you are caught possessing less than 30 grams of weed, you will be cited “as a summary offense, rather than a misdemeanor.”
The summary offense allows people to “pay $200 for a three-hour class about drug abuse, and their record is expunged,” with “[n]o trial, no judge, no court-appointed defense attorneys, no prosecutor, no lab tests.”
This seems like a much more reasonable way of dealing with small pot crimes. Now legalizing marijuana is a completely separate conversation. More on that later.
Willie Nelson has settled a marijuana case in court, reports TMZ.
After cops found marijuana on Wilson’s tour bus last year, the country singer has since struck a plea deal in the case and will only have to pay a $500 fine.
If Wilson stays out of trouble for 30 days, the judge will dismiss the case entirely.
Nelson was originally charged with marijuana possession, but has now worked out a deal with prosecutors in which they agreed to reduce the charge in exchange for a no contest plea. Nelson’s lawyer, Joe Turner, said “Willie is glad to have it all behind him. Everyone was very fair.”
And nobody is shocked. Weed to Willie Nelson is like, just part of his soul. He’s earned the right to do whatever he wants. He’s a legend!
Former ‘Skid Row’ frontman Sebastian Bach has been arrested for marijuana possession, TMZ reports.
For the second time in 6 months, Bach has been arrested for weed in New Jersey. Bach was pulled over for “failing to keep right” on a highway in Monmouth County, NJ at 3:32 AM on Tuesday, and during the stop, the officer conducted an investigation and discovered weed.
The 43-year-old was arrested for possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bach was then hauled in to a local jail and was eventually released pending a future court hearing.
Bach was previously arrested for weed possession here in Canada back in December, after getting rowdy at an Ontario bar.
Not very shocking, and to be honest, not very awful. The world has more to worry about than ‘less than 50 grams of marijuana.’ Let’s just hope he’s more discrete and secretive next time around.
Montel Williams was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.
CNN reports that Williams was caught by the TSA who found a pipe on the former talk show host. He apparently paid the $484 fine and was released. Williams suffers from multiple sclerosis and is an avid supporter of legalizing marijuana for medical purposes.
Multiple sclerosis or not, what was he thinking carrying a pipe through airport security? This from a man who hosted a show that gave life advice!!!
50 Cent’s 52 room Connecticut mansion was burglarized this morning by two men who were later arrested, reports TMZ.
At 6am security guards for the property called police reporting a suspicious car in the driveway. Cops later showed up to the home and found two men in the house. However one of the men was found hidden in the closet drunk with a bottle of wine which he stole from 50.
Apparently marijuana was also found in possession of the gentlemen. We wonder if that was stolen from 50 also…
Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared on Jay Leno last night where the discussion of the legalization of marijuana came up. Governor Schwarzenegger was very blunt (no pun intended), “No one cares if you smoke a joint or not.”
The conversation came up when Leno asked about Prop 19, which makes the penalty for smoking weed the equivalent of a speeding ticket. Governor Schwarzenegger also commented that Prop 19 was poorly written.
TMZ points out that Schwarzenegger has been a supporter of weed for decades. He famously puffed on a joint in the 1977 documentary, “Pumping Iron.”
Funnyman Adam Carolla has written a new book titled “In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks,” which touches on a variety of topics, including gay marriage, border control, airport security and the legalization of marijuana.
In the book, Carolla comments that he believes marijuana should be legalized. As he tells PopEater, “I’m Republican, but I’d like pot legalized.”
Yet another Hollywood celebrity who is getting with the times.
We love Zach Galifianakis and we love Bill Maher. So when the two come together, its only inevitable something hilarious and outrageous was going to happen.
And it did! During the episode, Maher was discussing the legislation of marijuana with Galifianakis along with a bunch of other conservative types opposing the decriminalization of the drug.
“It’s a tricky thing politically to jump on that bandwagon [and vote for the legalization of pot] because I think that maybe people still see it as taboo,” said the ‘Hangover’ star.
Then Galifianakis pulled out a joint, lit up and puffed away. Hilarious!

TMZ reports that rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle were arrested for possession of a controlled substance last night.
Police pulled over T.I.’s Maybach last night around 10:30pm in Los Angeles. Police smelt marijuana coming from the car, and after searching the vehicle, they found a controlled substance, not marijuana. Police would not be specific on the controlled substance, but said it’s the same class as methamphetamines and ecstasy.
The couple just got married on July 30th in Miami. And let’s not forget T.I. is on probation after doing time for weapons charges.
Basically the honeymoon is over and T.I. maybe the bride this time around if he gets thrown back in jail!
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford was arrested Friday in Plano, Texas for possession of marijuana, reports TMZ.
The cops caught Crawford with the weed just after midnight this morning and received a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces.
Crawford is said to have been in a vehicle with someone at the time when the police found one unlit joint.
It’s not certain whether Crawford was just ‘holding it for a friend’ or not, but either way, he was busted.
TMZ reports that Crawford isn’t locked up, as his bond has been paid.
It’s no secret that Snoop Dogg loves marijuana, and apparently the best sports jersey to represent that love is The Toronto Maple Leafs.
During a recent interview with Nardwuar, Snoop talks about his appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show, in which Snoop was wearing a Leafs jersey.
“The Maple Leafs [logo] remind[s] me of a chronic leaf and I was representing that, you know what I’m saying?” Snoop said. “I didn’t know the Canada flag was so close to the chronic leaf; I just liked the way it looked, so I was representin’ and it was blue.”
