Rapper EMINEM is set to shock MARIAH CAREY by releasing a series of scathing tracks about her, according to reports.
The star – real name Marshall Mathers III – has allegedly drawn inspiration from a brief affair with the singer in 2001 for his new album.
But Carey is upset and has pleaded with label boss L.A. Reid to stop the tracks from being released.
A source tells OK! magazine, “There is more than one track that goes into really specific, intimate detail about what went on between Em and Mariah.
“Mariah wishes she could sue Eminem for slander. But it’s his freedom of speech.”
Carey has previously denied the romance, telling Playboy magazine earlier this year, “Something is clearly askew with him. I’m curious as to why he’s so obsessed with me.”

Singer MARIAH CAREY regrets marrying Sony Music boss TOMMY MOTTOLA and wouldn’t do it again, even though he helped make her a star.
The 37-year-old was discovered by Mottola and the couple were married for four years before finally splitting in 1997.
She tells Hello! magazine, “If I could go back again, I wouldn’t do it.”
Although she has had several high profile relationships with US baseball star DEREK JETER and rapper EMINEM, she insists she has learned her lesson regarding talking about her love life.
Carey claims she is “more or less” in a relationship right now, but refuses to reveal his name saying, “I don’t talk about that anymore.”
When asked is she wants to get married and have a family she adds, “We’ll see. What I want is to have children in a good way, with the right husband, with the right family life.”

MARIAH CAREY had the last laugh with miserly producers making new film TENNESSEE by booking out the whole of economy class on her flight to the set.
The singer stars alongside BERNIE MAC, JAMES D’ARCY, BILL SAGE and GREGORY PECK’s grandson, ETHAN, in the movie, directed by AARON WOODLEY, about two brothers on a road trip in search of their estranged father.
But despite her enthusiasm for the script, Carey was less than impressed to learn of the project’s tight budget, especially when she was ordered to give up a first class seat on her journey.
Finding a loophole in the agreement, the diva bought out every seat in economy and flew alone in the cabin instead, reports PageSix.

R&B singer MARIAH CAREY has hit out at rapper EMINEM for continuing to verbally attack her – over a year after she denied their rumoured romance.
The WE BELONG TOGETHER star was reported to have dated Eminem – born MARSHALL MATHERS III – in 2001, when they collaborated on her CHARM BRACELET album.
Carey has repeatedly denied this rumour, despite the WITHOUT ME hitmaker using personal answerphone messages from the singer in his concerts, all of which feature her begging for her calls to be returned.
Despite this, the 37-year-old insists she is confused as to why Eminem is “obsessed” with her, and doesn’t know why he criticises her on his latest album compilation, THE RE-UP.
She says, “Something is clearly askew with him and I’m not quite sure what it is.
“I just heard something else he recently said about me. I’m curious as to why he’s so obsessed with me.”
She adds, “I never got an apology letter, by the way. Then, again, I wasn’t exactly searching my mailbox for it!”
