Jennifer Lopez Surprises Hubby with Birthday Bash

“Love Don’t Cost a Thing” — but a glamorous birthday party sure does.

Jennifer Lopez threw a surprise 40th birthday party for her husband, Marc Anthony, in New York City, reports PEOPLE magazine.

The weeks leading up to his birthday, Anthony frequently asked his wife: “What are we gonna do for my birthday?” says Lopez, 39. “I told him it was such a busy weekend, that I might not be able to do anything,” she says with a laugh.

Lopez planned a 1940’s Cuban nightclub themed party at the Bowery Hotel. In order to not bring upon any suspicion, Lopez told her husband they were going to a dinner celebrating pal Katie Holmes’s upcoming Broadway debut in “All My Sons.”

“I can’t believe we pulled it off,” Lopez marvels. “He was so blown away.”

As for the couple’s 6-month-old twins Max and Emme?

“They are crawling and teething,” Lopez says. “Emme is always very calm and quiet. Max is kinda very boy. He’s brawny and tough. He likes to scream and yell sometimes, and she’s kinda looking at him [like], ‘Hey, why are you screaming.’”

J-Lo’s Baby Names

The wait is over. The speculation can subside. Gossip bloggers can stop holding their breath. The names of J-Lo’s instantly famous newborn twins have finally been released.

The twins managed to escape the outrageous-celebrity-baby-name curse with the short and sweet one syllable each titles: Max and Emme.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony reportedly waited to announce the names of their children until after the media hype over the births had died down.

Max and Emme were born on Feb. 22 as big sister arrived first at 12:12 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and her little brother came in at 6-pounds, 11 minutes later.

“If they have [named the babies], they’re not disclosing them—good for them,” Lopez’s publicist told E! News on the day of the births.

Lopez’s manager then confirmed the names to People on Friday.
