Graffiti6 is starting to make their North American invasion, and they are hitting up the Tonight Show. Does this sound familiar? Well the Beatles made the exact same journey over 40 years ago. Naturally, @jordans_life had to make some comparisons.
Nick plays World of Warcraft. Not only that, he’s the head of his guild, demonstrating that it IS possible to juggle being a hardcore gamer with being a top-selling recording artist.
During a LIVE interview on andPOP.com Nick Carter gave out a number and took phone calls from his fans. These were real phone calls from real fans who we gave exclusive access to one of the biggest recording artists of our generation.

When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.

Apple is reaching more people in more ways than ever before, so like many companies, trade shows have become a very minor part of how Apple reaches its customers. The increasing popularity of Apple’s Retail Stores, which more than 3.5 million people visit every week, and the Apple.com website enable Apple to directly reach more than a hundred million customers around the world in innovative new ways.
Apple has been steadily scaling back on trade shows in recent years, including NAB, Macworld New York, Macworld Tokyo and Apple Expo in Paris.
Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh. Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and iLife and professional applications. Apple is also spearheading the digital media revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and iTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market with its revolutionary iPhone.
XtremeMac kicked off its MacWorld exhibition last week with the announcement of Luna X2, a new version of its award winning alarm clock. Luna X2 couples a fully featured iPod alarm clock with high-end audio performance to create a world-class iPod audio system.
Luna X2 was designed with a full shmorgus-board of settings, providing completely personalized sleep and waking environments. The dual alarms can be independently set to sound to iPod, radio or buzzer, with optional settings for volume, display brightness and snooze time. Additionally, you can adjust volume ramping for sleep and nap functions. The crystal-clear display features a variable brightness control that can be lowered to completely off at night, and set to brighten when the alarm sounds.
Despite the loaded features, Luna X2 is powerful enough to be a stand-alone room audio system. As if choosing an audio system for your iPod wasn’t already hard enough. At Macworld this week, XtremeMac added to its already impressive resume by introducing Tango X2, a subwoofer-packed, iPod-geared audio system with built-in AM/FM radio.
Like its predecessor Tango, this unit is equipped with precision-tuned high-dynamic speakers, tweeters, and a subwoofer to produce phenomenal sound. Tango X2 improves on the previous version by adding an AM/FM radio with a hidden display and six user presets. The new design is also thirty percent smaller than the original, allowing for placement in virtually any media center or room.
Complete with a universal dock to charge while it plays, Tango X2 is priced at US$149.95 and may be pre-ordered from XtremeMac’s website today, or purchased at retail outlets worldwide in the coming weeks. For additional information, please visit www.XtremeMac.com.
Macworld is definitely the place to be to both witness, and contribute to, all Apple-related, cutting-edge inventiveness. And Apple wouldn’t be a very good host if it let its guests do all the work, which is why it opened its Mac-bazaar by introducing Time Capsule, a backup appliance that automatically and wirelessly backs up everything on one or more Macs running Leopard, Apple’s latest operating system release.
Built to work seamlessly with the Time Machine automatic backup software, Time Capsule lets users wirelessly back up all of the data on their Macs, find lost files and even restore all of their software. In the event a file is lost, users can wirelessly search back through time to find deleted files, applications, photos and other digital media and then instantly restore the file.
Doubling as a full-featured Wi-Fi base station with the latest 802.11n technology, Time Capsule comes in two models, a 500-gigabyte model for US$299 and a whopping 1-terabyte model for just US$499, and will be available in February through the Apple Store, at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.
DLO has made quite a splash at Macworld this week. First with their HomeDock HD, as reported here earlier this week, allowing users to connect their iPod media to any HDTV; now DLO has unveiled their iBoom JukeBox.

Here’s a quick look at three great products from the Macworld show floor.
1. NEC 42″ Curved Display
This Display by NEC, which is still in development, is a 42″ one panel curved display using rear projection technology. While the display is not flat like traditional LCD or Plasma screens that have become standards for desktop use today, the innovative curved display is so cool we’ll take it however it comes. One great upside to the rear projection technology is sub one-millisecond response time and a higher contrast ratio than typical LCD displays.

2. Brother HL-2170W $149 Wifi Laser Printer
This Wifi enabled laser printer from Brother prints up to 20 pages per minute. While it is only a black and white printer, the $150 price point on a laser printer with Wifi is a great feature. This printer can sit anywhere in your house as long as you have a wireless connection but can also work over 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet, USB.

3. New Pzizz Modules At Napper Lounge
I spoke with Pzizz inventor Matthew Ashenden about the great application that helps you get energized and stay rested. Pzizz was hosting a napping lounge in the West Hall at Macworld, where people could book 20 minute napping appointments and try out their Metronaps station, which filter out light and use Pzizz to help you re-energize. Matthew told me about some of the really great new modules their working and experimenting with so stay tuned with Pzizz for some great modules coming out soon.

The new iPod Classic is pretty sweet. Trust me, I’ve got one and, yes, I am an avid movie-watcher. The screen on the iPod Touch is even cooler. But you know what’s even better? Watching high-quality shows and videos from your iPod on the big-screen.
This week at MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, DLO will be unveiling its HomeDock HD, the all-new on-TV entertainment dock that connects a user’s iPod to any HDTV, letting them enjoy their favourite video content on their TV with the highest picture quality available.
The HomeDock HD also features RF remote control, enabling users to control their iPod playback from up to 100 feet away?even through walls. Additionally, the enhanced on-TV interface of the HomeDock HD features album art in a visual flow format, similar to that of the redesigned iPods, for an exceptional user experience.
Shipping in Spring 2008, HomeDock HD will be available from iPod retailers for $249.99. For more information, please visit www.dlo.com.
