As the mother of a pop culture icon, Lynne Spears knows all about raising children in Hollywood.
According to eonline.com, readers will be able to pick up a copy of mama Spears’ memoirs, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World”.
Originally the book was supposed to be released on Mother’s Day but when Spears’ sixteen-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, announced she was pregnant in 2007, publishers at Thomas Nelson delayed the release.
The book is set to be released in September.
Mama don’t preach, Jamie Lynn Spears isn’t keeping her baby. Instead, diaper duty will be handled by Jamie Lynn’s mother, Lynne.
A source for Star Magazine said that “After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mum Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do.”
The source said that Lynne will mother the child because she wants Jamie Lynn to have a normal teenage lifestyle and a successful career.
Jamie Lynn’s decision may also be influenced by the Ellen Page movie, “Juno,” in which Page plays a pregnant 16-year-old who finds a set of adoptive parents for the child. Jamie Lynn was spotted watching “Juno” at a movie theatre the day before she made her pregnancy announcement. Additionally, she is said to be obsessed with the film’s soundtrack and using it to help her get through this difficult time.
While Lynne Spears may appear to be supportive of daughter Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy, she at first demanded that Jamie Lynn not keep the baby.
A source told the National Enquirer, “…Lynne demanded that Jamie Lynn not keep the baby. At first, Jamie Lynn agreed, but then Casey (Aldridge, the father) talked her into keeping the baby. Lynne doesn’t believe Casey loves Jamie Lynn, even though he wants to marry her. She thinks he got Jamie Lynn pregnant on purpose for money and the fame of being the father of her baby.”
The Enquirer also claims that Aldridge has cheated on Jamie Lynn with at least three other girls, one of whom he also impregnated.
