Okay directioners, it’s official. Take deep breaths and prepare yourself for all this goodness. One Direction’s second album Take Me Home has an official release date —November 13 but if you haven’t already noticed, you’re looking at their new album artwork!
The boy’s new first single is titled “Live While We’re Young,” which we found out about in last week’s video announcement. You can officially store your own copy of the single on October 1 in Canada/US and September 30 in the UK. “Live While We’re Young” will premiere on radio stations worldwide starting Monday, September 24 so don’t forget to get those requests in — you’ll be able to jam out in your car. Duh.
During the major 1D announcement this morning, Niall said: “As you know, our new album is going to be called Take Me Home and it is available to pre-order from the 3rd of September at midnight.” We are totally looking forward what they have in store. They’ve been working with a handful of first-class producers and writers such as Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha (wrote and produced “What Makes You Beautiful), Ed Sheeran, Dr. Luke and many more.
With the guys debut album Up All Night, and their second album now titled Take Me Home, fans couldn’t help but tweet the band some naughty suggestions. Really though, what do you expect from this fan base?

In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Ryan Gosling is set to direct a film which he wrote and John Mayer ends it with Katy Perry via e-mail.
HIT: Ryan Gosling to direct his own film
He can sing, he can act and now he’ll direct his own film! Titled How to Catch a Monster, the flick will be lead by his Drive co-star Christina Hendricks. She’ll presumably play Billy, the single mother of two, who with her sons gets sucked into a fantasy underworld that they must escape from. Gosling also wrote the script and it’s scheduled to start filming next spring. Perfect Gosling is just perfect.
MISS: John Mayer dumped Katy Perry over e-mail
According to US Weekly, Perry found out her short summer fling with Mayer was over via e-mail. He probably thinks he’s hot shit because he cut his hair. I wouldn’t worry too much though, Perry fans. She’ll probably use this heartbreak to write another great hit.
HIT: Nick Jonas to co-judge with Demi Lovato on the X-Factor
I know the Jonas Brothers and Demi have always been on good terms ever since she and Joe split, but it’s always nice to see it reaffirmed. The youngest Jonas musician will be joining Demi on the X-Factor as a judge. While it’s not the American Idol gig he was reportedly looking for, X-Factor will at least deliver competition experience he was looking for.

There are a few things I can tell you after watching the One Direction promo for the VMAs. Most notable, is that it’s pretty darn cheesy, but cheesy in a good way. For one thing, a good portion of the ad is shot in slow motion, which allows your lingering gaze to settle on Harry’s messy-chic hair or consider Niall’s generally playful nature (jumping on Liam’s back, mock-punching Louis).
Then we get individual shots of each of them looking dashing enough to distract your eyes from the random, animated background behind them. The script isn’t all that engaging, but we’re like “kay whatever” because we’re not really watching for the script right?
One Direction will perform at the 2012 MTV VMAs on Sept. 6.

It’s pretty much a given that the boys of One Direction are a handsome bunch. With hundreds of girls all over the world wanting to steal a hug or a kiss with the British lads, one would think the One Direction craze would never die down.
But what happens when the good-looking young men grow old…say 50 or 60 years later? Do you think they would age as gracefully as George Clooney?
While it would be weird to think so long down the road, I really couldn’t help but wonder how to boys would look as older men. So with the help of the internet and a photo transformer, I found some digitally altered photos of the boys looking very aged.

Writing stories about your favourite boy band can be taken as a high form of flattery. But when the two members happen to date in them, things can get pretty awkward.
During an interview with Tumblr, Louis Tomlinson opened up about the difficulties he faces with his public life when asked if he ever feels pressure to live up to the “characters” his fans create through fan-fiction. A popular topic surrounding these stories often include him and fellow member Harry Styles, dubbing the pairing as “Larry Stylinson.”
“This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with as I am in a relationship,” said Tomlinson.
“Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move. It is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public: We want to joke around but there seems to be a different rumour every time we do anything. I act the same way with Harry as I do any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.”
While I’m not a big reader of fan fictions, I can imagine how weird it can get when it involves you and a close, platonic friend in a romantic relationship. Let’s just hope these fans don’t mix up their imaginations with reality!!
Most One Directioner’s have zoned-out daydreams about kissing their favourite member of the band, but recently the guys have taken to smooching each other. We’re not complaining, but we do feel semi-bad for Louis Tomlinson who’s been left out of all the kiss-fests so far.
First Zayn Malik laid a sloppy one on Liam Payne on the set of their “One Thing” video, causing the poor unsuspecting guy to jokingly faint of happiness (we would too — but for real).
Now Harry’s all up on Niall. Check them out singing “What Makes You Beautiful” around 0:35 when Harry shares the intimate moment with his bandmate — though to us it KINDA looks like he’s just whispering something. Apparently Larry Stylinson is so yesterday and it’s all about Narry now.
Was it a case of mistaken identity? Was that kiss actually meant for Louis the whole time? Harry’s got a lot of questions to answer.

When you’re a professional fangirl, you know EVERYTHING there is to know about your favourite artist or band. When it comes to One Direction fans, they even go as far as stalking them on their hotel floor and aren’t ashamed about it.
This guy quizzed some girls who were eagerly waiting in line for a sold out concert later that day. He thought it would be HILAR to ask them trivia questions, but the catch was to make sure he told them they were wrong. Of course, the girls were completely confident in their answers cause c’mon, who doesn’t know the exact time Harry Styles entered the world? Not only was he called “the worst fan ever,” he got tons of dirty looks and complaints! Don’t tell me!

So this video is pretty cute, if you like the whole ADORBZ One Direction boy band thing combined with a cute kid and two fans asking them questions. Which, of course, we DO. Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan sat down with a couple students courtesy of Z100 for an interview.
The three lucky ladies got to go right up close to the guys and shoot through a list of questions prepared by them, their friends and in one case one of their dads.
Niall talked about how the guys still get stage fright, not really before the show, but when they’re walking to the stage. ”Sometimes it’s quite a long walk from our dressing room so you can hear the crowd screaming and stuff and you get that butterflies in your stomach kind of feeling,” he said.
Louis also offered a not so relevant but totally fascinating point during one of the questions: ”We’re going to get a dog on the tour,” he said. “That has no relevancy to the question but we’re trying to persuade our amangement that we’re allowed to have a dog on tour with us.”
Also, watch out for 1:11 when Niall gives the most adorable smile of life.

Just in case you’re tired of watching fan-made photo slideshows of One Direction set to One Direction songs on Youtube (although psh, who’s tired of that?), you can now watch a fan-made cartoon.
YouTuber chimpshrimp decided he had enough of reading 1D fanfic written by girls, so he decided to write an epic fanfic himself. Thankfully, he took his idea one step further by animating it into: “The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction!” In the video, the boys of 1D are assigned the heavy task of freeing the world’s kittens from the evil grasp of Lord Faptaguise.
While 1D may be great and all, what makes this video is the number of nerdy and dirty references thrown around. Sir Paul McCartney is dressed as a Jedi, Harry gets punched in the balls a lot for terrible puns (and probably for speaking so slowly), and there’s some cross dressing, tacos too.

One Direction stopped by the Today Show and revealed some very important information about who the most romantic member of the band is. I’m not all that surprised to hear it was a two way tie between Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, who both unfortunately have GFs. Both Harry Styles and Louis chose Liam as the most romantic, while Zayn Malik and Liam voted for Louis. As for the indecisive Niall, he said either one of them.
Award for shyest member of the band went to Zayn Malik (d’aw) and Harry Styles is not surprisingly the biggest attention-whore.
I don’t think interviewer Jenna Bush Hager realized how envious all the screaming girls outside were of her, though she did start blushing when the guys joked she was a cougar.
Best moment of the interview (other than outing the romantics of the group) was when the band demonstrated their poor dance moves, which included the fist pump and something they cleverly dubbed the sprinkler.

There’s no way the guys of One Direction can be menacing. Just look at them here with their debonaire smiles, well-coiffed hair and black and white garb, pointing water guns like they’re Dirty Harry.
Nah, the guys of 1D are too charming and playful to pose any sort of red carpet threat, which is probably why security shrugged their shoulders with a blasé “meh” when the guys brought the guns to the Men In Black III premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre, New York City on May 23.
It seems the guys enjoyed the film, or at least Liam Payne did. He tweeted: “mib3 was amazing go nd watch it met a lot of cool people tonight had a great time.”
On a different note, if the guys of 1D had a water gun fight, who would win? Discuss.
It seems like the boys of One Direction can’t keep their hands off their cellphones as they reportedly racked up £14,000 (just over $22,000 U.S.D.) in roaming charges while on tour.
I can’t bring myself to be too hard on the boys as they’ve been traveling so much these days. They’ve been all over North America, Australia and New Zealand —quite a ways away from their homeland of the United Kingdom. It’s expensive to try to keep in touch with family, girlfriends, and fans all over the world. The roaming charges for minutes alone seem a bit outrageous.
Apparently, the boys were stunned to see the bill and were afraid to have to foot it themselves. Instead, their management (a.k.a. Simon Cowell) let them off light and lectured them about being financially responsible. Now they’ll remember not to use their cellphones too often when abroad.
Louis Tomlinson proved yet again why he’s so crushable when he surprised his girlfriend Eleanor Calder just before her exam. I mean, the guy is busy enough jet-setting around the world and performing to screaming fans, but he still fit in time to wish his girlfriend good luck on her exam… in person.
It appears his presence served more than one purpose. Naturally, he was a good luck charm but Calder joked on Twitter that he helped wake her up. Calder goes to Manchester University and has been dating Tomlinson for seven months.

They’re just like you!!” The guys of One Direction were spotting at Heathrow Airport fooling around while wheeling their luggage. We’re not sure how Liam Payne got a free ride but he had to put up with Louis temporarily blinding him.

Sure, we love One Direction too, but isn’t it a little awkward to have Harry Styles dream-bot hair distracting you every time your eyes graze over your hands? These nialls nails aren’t for any regular fangirl, they’re reserved for those fans who are willing to take the guys with them everywhere.
The how-to video was uploaded to cutepolish and while the faces of the bandmates might be a little advanced for us, tattooing your favourite band’s logo on your nails is dayam cute.

It’s hard to keep track of where these guys are at any given second, considering how much they tour around the world. But it looks like One Direction is reunited again after taking 10 days off. They’re currently recording their second album in Stockholm, Sweden, which obvs had good vibes because it’s where Up All Night was recorded.
Niall Horan tweeted: ”great day soo far in the studio!! Got some crackin tunes on the way!.. its been a while since we’ve been in the studio..great t be back (sic).”

Pretty much everyone in the audience of One Direction’s new video for “More Than This” is blubbering, screaming, swaying their arms, having an emotional breakdown or all of the above. Probably because they believe the guys of One Direction are personally speaking to them when they sing: “Would you lay down in my arms and rescue me? / Cause we are, the same / You saved me, when you leave it scarred again.” SWOON.
One Direction’s new music video is taken directly from Up All Night: The Live Tour. Naturally, it starts out with the first-verse-man Liam Payne singing on a couch in a red velvet blazer. Then, each of his bandmates take their turn at serenading you — all with very serious faces. Well, love is a very serious subject for these guys.

Can you imagine British sensation Ed Sheeran as the sixth member of One Direction? When andPOP sat down with 1D’s Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, they knew right away they’d initiate the singer songwriter as a new bandmate.
“I’m digging red haired man,” Niall said. “He’s got one of the best voices you’ll ever hear.”
We asked Sheeran if he’d ever consider joining the band and while he loves hanging out with the guys (apparently he and Harry Styles are like an old married couple) he doesn’t have any plans to be a new member.
“We do completely different things,” he said. “I think it’s cooler to hang out with them than to actually be in the band. I mean, I’ve got to where I am on my own and they got to where they are on their own and I think to add to either camp might be a mistake.”
Sheeran has come a long way since posting homemade videos on YouTube for his fans. He told us how he used to get paid in booze almost everyday at pubs. Since then, he shot to mega commercial success last year with his track “The A Team” and wrote a song called “Moments” for One Direction, which is on their debut album.
Even if Sheeran has no plans to join the band, would you like to hear another collaboration?
