Lost Star Sued For Sexual Harassment

Lost star Henry Ian Cusick is being sued by a former ABC employee who alleges sexual battery and harassment against the actor.

According to the suit filed yesterday in Los Angeles court and posted in its entirety at E! Online, Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on the show, allegedly squeezed and placed his face on the plaintiff’s breasts, kissed her on the mouth, and caressed the back of her body while making moaning sounds. The plaintiff claims the incident occurred on the set of the hit series on or about October 16, 2007, and that she was she was fired 12 days later, in retaliation for reporting Cusick’s behavior. She is seeking unspecified damages in the suit, which also names ABC Entertainment Inc., and Grass Skirt Productions as defendants.

The plaintiff had been employed by ABC since 1997, according to the suit, and had reported her allegations to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing prior to suing.

ABC spokespersons, the plaintiff’s attorney, and employees of Grass Skirt Productions were unable to be reached as of early Saturday afternoon.

Ugly Betty Among 12 Shows Returning To ABC

Fans of “Ugly Betty” can breathe a sign of relief.

Despite speculation that it was on the bubble, the comedy about the affable Plain Jane was one of 12 series given early renewals by ABC on Thursday for next fall’s lineup.

Some of the shows being brought back were no surprise due to strong ratings, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Brothers & Sisters” and “Dancing with the Stars.” Also returning is “Lost,” another expected move given the network’s agreement with the show’s creators to end the drama after six seasons.

Rounding out the renewals were “America’s Funniest Home Videos” – back for a 20th season – “The Bachelor,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Private Practice,” “Supernanny” and “Wife Swap.”

Other shows, including “Samantha Who?” and all of ABC’s midseason series, must wait until next month to find out if they will return.

Josh Holloway Has A Daughter

Lost’s Josh Holloway and wife Yessica welcomed a daughter on April 9 in Oahu, PEOPLE reported. They named their daughter Java Kumala Holloway.

PEOPLE reports that a source told them that “Dad and Mom are absolutely thrilled,” and that “Everyone’s happy and healthy.” The couple has been married since 2004 and this is their first child.

Holloway’s co-star Daniel Dae Kim said “When you talk to him about his baby, his face completely lights up.” Kim believes he will be a fantastic father.

‘Dark Knight,’ ‘Lost’ Lead Saturn Award Nominations

A caped crusader and a mysterious island lead the pack of nominees for the 2009 Saturn Awards.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror announced on Tuesdays its nominations for the annual awards, which recognize the year’s best in genre film making.

“The Dark Knight” received 11 nods to top the movie categories, including best film actor for Christian Bale and best action/adventure/thriller film. The Christopher Nolan-directed pic will compete in the latter category with “Changeling,” “Gran Torino,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Traitor” and “Valkyrie.”

Also scoring big were “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Iron Man” with nine and eight nominations, respectively.

The TV categories were ruled by “Lost,” which also received 11 nominations. These included best network television series and best actor and actress in television for Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, respectively.

“Heroes” followed with six nominations, while “Battlestar Galactica” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” received four nods each.

‘Lost’ Actor Joins Cast Of Indie Thriller

Harold Perrineau is coming off a mysterious island and moving into “The Killing Jar.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perrineau, who played Michael Dawson over four seasons of “Lost,” has joined the cast of the upcoming indie thriller and will also executive produce.

The Morningstar Films project, which also stars Michael Madsen and Danny Trejo, revolves around a shotgun-wielding stranger who takes seven patrons hostage at a remote roadside diner. As the situation heats ups, the main players realize that one of the hostages may actually be more dangerous than their captor.

Perrineau will play one of the hostages, a travelling salesman named John.

Indie filmmaker Mark Young, who previously worked on the horror films “Tooth and Nail” and “Southern Gothic,” wrote the script and will direct.

Filming began this past weekend in North Carolina.

Perrineau, whose TV credits also include “Oz” and the upcoming ABC drama “The Unusuals,” has appeared in such movies as “28 Weeks Later,” the two “Matrix” sequels and “Romeo + Juliet.”

Matthew Fox A Hit Man?

Matthew Fox might be getting a little animated.

According to Variety, Fox is in talks to take the lead in the adaptation of the comic book “Billy Smoke.” He would play a hit man who seeks revenge after a botched job, and decides to rid the world of all assassins.

Though Fox’s small screen leading man status is red hot, as Lost’s Jack Shepard, he has failed to impress at the box office. His recent film credits include “Speed Racer” and “Vantage Point.”

“Lost” Star Evangeline Lilly to Wed

According to MSN.com, Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly will reportedly marry her long time beau Dominic Monaghan.

The couple broke up earlier this year but are back together.

Monaghan reportedly proposed while the pair were on vacation together.

The couple met on the set of the hit show “Lost”.

Before the hit series, Monaghan starred in the Oscar award winning “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

A source close to the couple says that the ceremony will be held in Hawaii as a tribute to
“Lost”, where they first met.

‘Lost’ Star Eager to Leave Hawaii

Matthew Fox moved his family to the Pacific Island in order to film the hit TV show “Lost,” but now the actor is eager to move almost 3,000 miles to Oregon once the series finishes.

“I’ve been living in Hawaii for almost four years now, so it’s not really paradise any more, man. Throwing snowballs on a mountain is now paradise,” said Fox.

“We’re moving to Oregon. I want to be closer to my brothers and their children. We really want our kids to have tight first-cousin relationships. I want to enjoy fishing, hiking, skiing, mountains and fresh air.”

Although Fox does admit that living in Hawaii does have his perks and benefits.

“Hawaii has also been beneficial in that I really don’t like the whole paparazzi thing in my daily life. There are not a lot of paparazzi who want to do the 2,500-mile trek into the south Pacific for a shot of me walking on the beach.”

Fox has two children with his Italian wife Margherita Ronchi.

Matthew Fox’s Unlawful Ways

Is the man behind good guy doctor Jack Shephard really a bad boy?

“Lost” star Matthew Fox opened up about his history of misbehaving recently to Empire Magazine. “I break the law all the time!” he told the mag. “I’ve done plenty of illegal narcotics, but I think everyone knowingly breaks the law pretty often, don’t they? I can’t imagine living my life abiding by the law completely. That’d be tough to do.”

Fox says his wife shares in his habit of taking drugs. “My wife and I travelled to Jamaica 15 years ago. Oh God, it was a crazy trip! We stayed in this little bungalow out on the water, baked out of our minds for the first three days. We were just so stoned! And then we got sick and proceeded to continue to get stoned because that makes you feel better.”

Fox, 41, has two children.

Television addicts rejoice: “Lost” is back!

Notoriously secretive, producers producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof would only spill a single line of dialogue to Entertainment Weekly.com: ”I’m thinking of growing a beard.” But who will speak this crucial line? Oh, the suspense!

For the answer to that burning question – along with other little ones like, say, will the Losties be rescued or do they face certain death? – be sure to check tune in to CTV at 8 p.m. ET.

With most shows on hiatus until the Writer’s Guild of America strike is resolved, the intense series can probably expect huge ratings for tonight’s 2-hour season premiere event.
