In “awful” One Direction news, Liam Payne confirmed breaking up with his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Peazer. Rumours are flying about who Payne will date next, including fellow X-Factor singer Leona Lewis. Umm, I don’t want to break any more hearts there, but she might be a tad out of Liam’s age range (19 vs. 27? Likely).
The staff at ANDPOP are debating about who Liam should date next. We found some perfect candidates on Twitter — Liam himself even called them all “babes!”
Here are five 1D babes we think Liam could potentially date next:
@MyLifeSelena

Aww. This 1D fan would totally love Liam forever. @MyLifeSelena must be really special if Liam himself sends some love back.
@_1DWorldwide
Pure sadness. This Liam-lover opted out of talking to their potential hubby and did homework instead. We think that if they’re so dedicated to their studies, they’d be TOTALLY loyal to Liam.
“Where Were You” — Drake & Dawn Richard
Drake’s new collab with Dawn Richard (of Diddy-Dirty-Money fame) is the perfect example of how a female vocalist can add that extra oomph to a song. The previously unreleased “Where Were You” is a classic tear-jerking Drake track about two ex-lovers still pining for each other. “Where Were You” was originally recorded as “Whatever Became of You” by Colin Munroe for Thank Me Later and was scrapped from the album. Now re-released with a haunting synth base, Drake and Dawn’s vocals complement each other beautifully and you can really hear the emotion in their voices. Thank goodness this gem of a song wasn’t lost forever!
“Closer” — Tegan and Sara
Tegan and Sara have been experimenting with a more electro-fied sound in the past few years, with their recent “Body Work” collaboration with Morgan Page really bringing out their radio-friendly side. The Canadian twins’ new single “Closer” is a deeper dive for them into the dance music sound. With tons of synth, Tegan and Sara have pretty much turned their backs on the alternative/acoustic rock sound they were once known for. I don’t know about you but I’m loving their new sound. Kudos to the ladies for staying current and evolving. Tegan and Sara will be releasing a new album early next year.

I’ll admit that haven’t heard too much from Leona Lewis since her 2008 hit ‘Bleeding Love’. But if a Childish Gambino collaboration is any indication of a comeback in North America, then I think there’s a reason to get excited.
Partnering up in ’Trouble’, the new song is mid-tempo ballad focusing on a relationship that’s breaking apart. The single will appear on Lewis’ third album ‘Glassheart’, which is set to hit stores in November. Having delayed the release of her album, the singer has since recruited artists like will.i.am and Polow Da Don to reshape her music.
This collaboration is an interesting one for me. As a massive fan of Childish Gambino, I’m glad to see him working with different artists. From Tina Fey to Leona Lewis, I really wonder who he’ll work with next!

Move aside presidents, becase vegetarians are taking over as the new face of American postage stamps.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have taken the faces of 20 of the most famous vegetarians in history and put them on a series of postage stamps, to be released tomorrow. The stamps are an example of PETA’s effort to put a stop to animal abuse.
“It’s just another way to be able to talk about what animals go through in slaughterhouses,” said Lisa Lange, vice president of PETA.
The stamps will be available on Peta’s website through December and possibly into January, just in time for us to send out those holiday cards.
The collection will include the faces of celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Woody Harrelson, Natalie Portman, Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, Bryan Adams, Leona Lewis, Paul McCartney, Pamela Anderson, Bob Barker, Stevo-O, and Ellen DeGeneres.
The set of 20 will be completed with the famous faces of Morrissey, César Chávez, Leonardo da Vinci, Leo Tolstoy, Albert Schweitzer, Gandhi, Pythagoras and Johnny Appleseed.
“These are very influential people, and not everyone knows that these folks are vegetarian,” said Lange.
While it’s a little risky to put such a controversial organization in charge of a set of postage stamps that will be released to the public, I think it could actually be a good idea. It will definitely attract the attention of collectors, but it will also help PETA achieve its hopes it to in publicizing issues at hand regarding animal cruelty.
Do you think the stamps are a good idea? Which stamp are you most excited for?

British singer, Leona Lewis, is still shaken and distraught after a man attacked her during a book signing on Wednesday.
According to mtvnews.com, Lewis, 24, was punched in the head while autographing copies of her recently released autobiography “Dreams” at a Waterstone’s outlet in London’s Piccadilly neighbourhood.
Lewis was suddenly attacked by a man who had been waiting in line but then unexpectedly struck her before being detained by her handlers and store security. The “Bleeding Love” singer fled the scene with her hand covering her face and was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The site reports that Lewis did not need treatment for her injuries.
Singer Leona Lewis is teaming up with One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder for her second album.
This isn’t the first time the duo work together. Tedder co-wrote and produced Lewis’ mega hit “Bleeding Love” that launched the singer into the spotlight.
Tedder told E! News he and Lewis spent a week in a recording studio, “We did about two and a half songs, and we already have something that everybody’s extremely happy about.”
He also told E! News that Lewis is writing for her upcoming album, which will most likely be recorded in the U.S. as opposed to England. “We’re going to do a lot of it in L.A. But I’m going to try to get her out to Denver for a week. We’ll see if she’ll do that.” said Tedder.
Tedder said to E! News it’s “very possible” him and Lewis will record a duet together. The One Republic frontman has also produced four tracks on Kelly Clarkson’s upcoming album “All I Ever Wanted.”
Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis and British pop singer Leona Lewis have been crowned the world’s sexiest vegetarians.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) bestowed the title on the two musicians following their annual online poll honouring celebrities for their lifestyle choice.
“I am vegetarian so I don’t have clothes, shoes or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products. … I’m on a mission,” Lewis, 23, is quoted as saying on peta.org.
Kiedis, 45, said he went vegan after learning about the worldwide depletion of fish in the oceans, as well as a doctor’s recommendation of a healthy vegan diet for his son.
“Soon after I [went vegan] I saw some documentary footage of what happens in the factory farming of cows …. It sealed the deal,” Kiedis added.
Others in the running this year included Casey Affleck, Emily Deschanel and Andre 3000, while past winners include Carrie Underwood, Chris Martin and Tobey Maguire.
