HBO’s Girls aired his second season finale on Sunday night with the reassurance of yes, Hannah Horvath will be back to terrorize Brooklyn once again.
We all love how Girls attempts to portray how real women look, sound and act like. It’s not perfect but it does try to depict a lot of the issues young females face when trying to settle down in their careers and relationships. It shows the expectations of females, and how hard it can be to live up to your parents expectations, and more of all the expectations young women have for themselves.
The latter is most evident in the the show’s protagonist, Hannah Horvath(as played by the show’s creator/writer Lena Dunham). While she wants everyone to think she has it all figured out (in terms of what she wants from men, herself, and her career), realistically Hannah is the one most lost.
Sometimes Hannah says and does things that really make us question her sanity. She has a tendency to go on a crazy downward spiral when things confuse her or don’t go her way. She never seems to know what she wants, and has had really unhealthy reactions to things over the course of the shows two seasons. Basically, she has us scratching our heads and going, “WTF?” way too often.

Watching HBO’s Girls now is becoming kind of painful. It’s like kind of like Lena Dunham just doesn’t want her characters to ever succeed. Seriously, this season’s whole plot feels like it’s one step forward, two steps back for everyone.
Case in point: Marnie’s (Allison Williams) recent quarter life crisis where her latest gaffe was this horrible cover of Kanye West’s “Stronger.”
Yeah, she became that girl at the party and she doesn’t even seem drunk (full disclosure: I didn’t watch it yet. Will HBO On Demand it later tonight). It’s like second-hand embarrassed bad.
Dammit, Lena Dunham! Can anyone be happy on this show?!

Ever wonder what Lena Dunham’s audition tape would look like if she was casted in the Oscar-nominated film, “Zero Dark Thirty?” Well, wonder no more!
In this spoof, New York comedian Chelsea Davison is spot on with her impression of Lena Dunham’s self-absorbed Girls character Hannah. Chelsea gives us a glimpse into what the audition tape could’ve looked like. From strip teases to cupcakes, this impersonation is too funny and dare I say:
Davison nails all of Dunham’s (well I guess Hannah’s) quirks. Too bad Lena didn’t audition for the role. I mean sure Jessica Chastain did a pretty kick-ass job playing a CIA agent, but imagine if Lena’s character Hannah had auditioned. The film about Osama bin Laden’s capture would’ve been totes different. Hey, I’d watch it!

Bless Anne Hathaway’s soul. I fell in love with Anne Hathaway this summer because she was a total babe in The Dark Knight Rises. When I saw her with her pixie cut, courtesy of her role in the upcoming film Les Miserables, my heart was sent into flutters. She really can rock anything.

Miley Cyrus sent the twitterverse into a buzz of love-hate feuding with her new do. Despite what anyone says, I think it’s awesome that Miley’s new haircut was able to give her a lot of confidence.

Marina and the Diamonds completely transformed her entire wardrobe for her new album, Electra Heart. In her video for “Fear and Loathing,” Marina is seen chopping off her thick, black hair and opting for a cute bob. The move was daring, but her transformation totally goes with the theme of her album.

Ever since we heard Ed Sheeran’s folksly cover of Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” we’ve been dying for him to serenade us with his sweet, sweet voice again. And Ellen always gets the luck, doesn’t she?
