Rapper Cassidy is a suspect in a murder case, TMZ reports.

The rapper has been named a suspect in a murder case and two attempted murder cases in Philadelphia, according to law enforcement.

Cassidy was arrested in Hackensack, New Jersey this weekend on a probation violation, and according to police forces, the arrest was made in connection with alleged crimes in Philadelphia.

The police said forces in Philadelphia had phoned in a favour to the Hackensack Police Department, telling them to arrest Cassidy on the probation violation and warned them “to consider [Cassidy] armed and dangerous,” saying it was a “high-risk warrant”.

Undercover officers with the Hackensack PD followed the 28-year-old rapper, whose real name Barry Reese, and then arrested him during a felony motor vehicle stop.

Cassidy previously did an eight month jail stint for involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime. He was released in 2006.

Cassidy is reportedly still in custody in New Jersey, with bail being set at $200,000.

Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach Arrested for Possession

Former ‘Skid Row’ frontman Sebastian Bach has been arrested for marijuana possession, TMZ reports.

For the second time in 6 months, Bach has been arrested for weed in New Jersey. Bach was pulled over for “failing to keep right” on a highway in Monmouth County, NJ at 3:32 AM on Tuesday, and during the stop, the officer conducted an investigation and discovered weed.

The 43-year-old was arrested for possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bach was then hauled in to a local jail and was eventually released pending a future court hearing.

Bach was previously arrested for weed possession here in Canada back in December, after getting rowdy at an Ontario bar.

Not very shocking, and to be honest, not very awful. The world has more to worry about than ‘less than 50 grams of marijuana.’ Let’s just hope he’s more discrete and secretive next time around.

Bethenny Frankel Gets Sued For $100 Million

Reality star Bethenny Frankel is being sued for $100 million, reports TMZ.

Being the creator of the Skinnygirl margarita brand, Frankel has been sued for more than $100 million for allegedly cutting her former management company out of the biggest deal of her life.

Frankel’s former management company, Raw Talent, claims Bethenny signed with them back in 2008 with the hopes of maximizing the potential of her Skinnygirl cocktail line. And then dropped them when she began making big money.

According to the lawsuit, Raw Talent claims “[Bethenny] expressly represented that any agreement relating to the exploitation of the Skinnygirl Cocktail Brand would be commissionable under their management agreement.”

The company claims they hooked up Frankel with some powerful people in the liquor biz, only for Beth to then fire them days before she sold Skinnygirl for a reported $120 million.

Raw Talent claims they want their cut of the deal, $12 million, plus $100 million in punitive damages.

That’s some pretty shady business. I’m thinking that this was probably just a miscommunication in the contract or something, because I don’t think Frankel really needs the money that bad. $100 million in ‘damages’ seems an awful lot too, though. The company kind of seems shady as well, so who can we trust?

Lindsay Lohan Ordered To Undergo Psychological Counselling

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to undergo psychological counselling, reports CTV.

The troubled actress has also been sentenced to three years probation, attend The Shoplifter’s Alternative program, pay fines of $180 and stay away from jeweller Kanofie and Co. after pleading no contest to stealing a necklace from the store.

Lohan didn’t appear in court this morning for the sentencing.

Last month, Lohan was deemed to have breached the terms of her 2007 probation, which was set following a driving under the influence conviction, because of the theft charges. She was sentenced to 480 hours of community service and 120 days jail, for which she must turn herself in on June 17.

The 24-year-old star, who began her community service last week, has made an application to serve the jail term under house arrest, a move which is expected to be approved.

“I’ve made a lot of poor decisions in the past and I’m dealing with the consequences of those decisions, so there were times when I was concerned but I’m a fighter and I know that I have a lot of work to do to gain the respect back and I’m willing to do the work that I have to do to be an actress,” said Lohan in an interview.

Hopefully this is the last time she goes through this. She got really lucky this time around, and I’m rooting for her to finally, finally, get back on track.

Jermaine Dupri Sued For Missing Child Support Payments

An Atlanta woman is suing music producer Jermaine Dupri over missed child support payments, reports Billboard.

After a judge recently ordered him to pay her, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Margaret Dorsey told the Grammy-winning producer in March to pay $2,500 a month and an additional $7,500 to Sarai Jones, based on the results of a paternity test.

Jones’ attorney, Randy Kessler, said Jones hopes that she and Dupri “can work together to co-parent their beautiful baby girl,” who is 7 months old.

Dupri’s lawyer, James Kane, declined to comment.

The lawsuit was filed at a time when Dupri is facing financial troubles. His mansion was up for foreclosure and set to be auctioned last week, but the sale was canceled at the last minute. WSB-TV obtained records from the Georgia Department of Revenue, saying that Dupri owes the state more than $493,000 in back taxes for 2007.

Based off his 2006 income, Forbes.com said Dupri was one of hip-hop’s top earners, taking home $12 million. Dupri has produced hits for artists including Usher and Mariah Carey, and had a seven-year relationship with Janet Jackson that ended a couple years ago.

Shame, must be rough for him. I don’t know where all his money went, but he better start gathering some pronto because this is no joke. If you don’t wear the glove, you have to deal with the consequences.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s Child Charged for Underage Possession

Tallulah Belle Willis, the 17-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has been arrested for underage possession, reports TMZ.

Law enforcement sources say cops spotted three girls getting out of a car in Hollywood at around 11:00 PM, carrying what appeared to be two bottles of alcohol. The officers probed further and determined it was indeed alcohol. Problem is, all three girls are underage.

Tallulah Belle and her friends were then cited at the scene for underage possession, but since Tallulah Belle is a minor, cops couldn’t just release her. They needed to find an adult to pick her up, so Tallulah Belle called Bruce , where Demi ended up picking her up. I bet she wasn’t happy.

Tallulah has appeared in “The Scarlet Letter” and “The Whole Ten Yards,” and seems to be well on her way to the troubled path of many other child actors. Just kidding, all youngsters go through a partying stage, so hopefully hers is short-lived and doesn’t continue on into her twenties (A-la-Lohan.) Bruce and Demi seem like cool parents, so I’m sure Tallulah will get a good talking to and smarten up.

Lindsay Lohan’s Accuser Paid Off?

The district attorney working on Lindsay Lohan’s case is claiming that Dawn Holland, a Betty Ford Center worker who claims she was attacked by the Mean Girls star, was paid off by the Lohan camp to keep quiet.

Riverside District DA David Greenberg “believes that Dawn’s change of heart was financially motivated,” according to an anonymous source. Michael Lohan himself even admits to striking up a deal with Holland.

“Dawn has had her attorney meet with me, negotiate with me, and even propose a ‘deal’ with me,” he said. There was allegedly a $25,000 deal in the works, but a new sum and new terms has reportedly been negotiated.

This incident has encouraged the DA to dig even deeper into Lohan’s still-open case to ensure that justice is fully served.

Michael Lohan Apparently Has Legal Woes; Entire World Completely Blindsided

The balance of the universe was shattered late last week as Michael Lohan revealed that he was in some legal troubles – this time with a random woman from Montana.

Pop Eater reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for Lohan in New York State after it was discoved that he owes money in a Montana paternity suit.

When reached for a quote, Lohan said “I was on parole, and was not allowed to leave New York. So the judge in Motana held me in default, and ordered me to pay child support. I asked for three patermity tests, and even Maury Povich asked her to do one with me, but she refused all three.”

Oh snap! You know you’re in trouble when not even Maury Povich can contain the situation!

Lohan begrudgingly began to pay child support to avoid more legal trouble, but had some issues after sending the second payment late. “[The payment was late] because of election day,” He explains. “But I did send it, and I have receipts. So because I was a couple of days late, they issued a warrant. How sick.”

Hmm, this doesn’t sound like the whole story Mr. Lohan… Since when do you have enough cash in the bank to start paying off random alleged babymamas that refuse to take a paternity test? Sounds suspicious to us!

Rage Against The Machine, Kanye West, Sonic Youth Boycott Arizona

Rage Against The Machine’s singer Zack de la Rocha has started a protest group that opposes the state of Arizona’s new immigration law, reports NME.com.

The singer and other artists including Sonic Youth, Kanye West, Massive Attack and Serj Tankian say that they will not play gigs in Arizona until the bill, SB 1070, is amended. The bill allows Arizona police to confront anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant to prove their official status. If they can’t, they will be arrested.

Called The Sound Strike, the group of protesters has a petition going at Thesoundstrike.net.

On the site, de la Rocha states his reason for forming The Sound Strike.

“Some of us grew up dealing with racial profiling, but this law (SB 1070) takes it to a whole new low,” he wrote. “If other states follow the direction of the Arizona government, we could be headed towards a pre-civil rights era reality. This unjust law was set into motion by the same Arizona government that refused to acknowledge Martin Luther King Jr day as a national holiday.”

The list of artists who have already signed up to support the group are Cypress Hill, Juanes, Conor Oberst, Los Tigres del Norte, Rage Against The Machine, Cafe Tacvba, Michael Moore, Kanye West, Calle 13, Joe Satriani, Serj Tankian, Rise Against, Ozomatli, Sabertooth Tiger, Massive Attack, One Day as a Lion, Street Sweeper Social Club, Spank Rock, Sonic Youth, and Tenacious D.

Who Fought The Law? Fall Out Boy, Juelz Santana, Travis Barker, Gerard Butler

It’s been a busy news day for celebrity crime. Between the ongoing developments in both the Michael Jackson and Chris Brown cases, a few other notables managed to run into trouble today.

First off, Juelz Santana (most famous for “There It Go (The Whistle Song)”) was arrested for terroristic threats and posession of a weapon, according to MTV.com. Santana (whose real name is Laron James) was involved in an altercation with the mother of his son on Tuesday in New Jersey, when he threatened to harm her and wielded a kitchen knife as his weapon of choice, according to police. His rep is disputing the threat charges and said it was the neighbor’s, not Santana’s baby’s mama that called police. Santana was released later that day after posting a $5,000 bond but has not yet released a statement.

Next up: Patrick Stump, the voice of Fall Out Boy. (Well, technically, the singer. Everyone knows Wentz is the one in charge.) Stump was busted for driving without a valid driver’s license in Beverley Hills and hauled to the big house where he was detained four hours then released on $15,000 bail. He is only licensed to drive in Illinois. If Stump is charged with a misdemeanor, he could face six months in prison and/or pay $1,000 bail. In a statement to MTV, Stump agreed “ignorance of the law isn’t innocence. . . .But man, is my mom going to be pissed.” And to make matters worse, his awfully unflattering mug shot is circulating the web like wildfire.

In other pop-punk news, Travis Barker is embroiled in a very public dispute with Shanna Moakler, his ex-wife and mother of his two children, according to PerezHilton.com. Turns out when he was dropping the kids of at Moakler’s parents’ house in Rhode Island, a bit of a hissy fit erupted on both sides. Barker refused to leave when Moakler refused to let his nanny stay with the kids, so Moakler lost it and called the cops. Shortly after, Barker updated his Twitter saying the car of alleged child molester and alleged uncle of Moakler, Rick Sinnott, was parked at the house hence his reluctance to leave the kids there. Eventually, the cops disclosed Sinnott was not in the house so Barker left. There have been rumours Moakler asked police about a restraining order.

Compared to the rest of the criminals out there today, Gerard Butler is looking like a puppy dog. (Pun intended.) Earlier today, Butler was accused of being on one vicious side of a dog fight. Seriously. Butler was taking a break from the set of “The Bounty in Long Island” to take his pug Lolita for a walk. According to PerezHilton.com, Lolita was approached by a large Greyhound belonging to an elderly Queens couple and Butler was not happy. The couple are claiming Butler got rough with the dog, shoving its head into a fence and yelling at the couple to have it put down. On the other hand, Butler’s manager is saying he was very tame considering the large dog actually took a bite out of Lolita. At the end of it all, Butler ended up spending four hours in a local veterinarian’s office and reportedly gave $3,000 to another family there to cover their vet bills. Police haven’t released any conclusive details yet.

Game Review: Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law

What ever happened to Birdman, that super hero with the super powered crest? The one that saved our world time and time again from such nemises… nemisae … nemese… as Freezoid, or Mentok the Mindtaker? Well, like all physically demanding super-jobs, it had to end sooner or later. Most heroes retire or get killed in the line of duty but not so for Birdman. Now in his post-hero years Harvey serves the public not with heroic feats, but with billable hours. Yes that’s right, our favorite bird based Hanna Barbara hero from years passed is now a practicing lawyer. And with his comedic cartoon on Adult Swim, comes a fun little game. Well, it’s more like a set of interactive episodes than an actual game. Developed by High Voltage Software and published by good old Capcom, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law hits the PSP, PS2 and Wii for all your litigation funnies.

Controlling Harvey you are given a case, a lead and sent off on your way to gather information, interview suspects and pick up useful items. As a point and click adventure, you don’t really do much moving around. Instead you choose which location to visit from a list given to you, click on everyone and everything, listen to what everyone has to say and explore to your heart’s content. Just as long as you don’t mind single shot stages. Once you gather all the information you need, the case begins and questions are asked. The game play is very similar to that of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, actually exactly like it in which you’re given a set of lives and every time you make a false accusation or ask the wrong question you lose a life. When you are out of lives you must restart from the last save point.

While the stages are pretty short, and there are only five of them, they feel very much like the TV show in terms of quality. As an added plus while you help out your falsely accused Hanna Barbara friends you can be sure to see some sneaky Street Fighter cameos (thanks Capcom). The game is pretty straight forward, and while you may get game over once or twice per case, you can always restart and try different approaches.

Graphic and sound wise the game is exactly like the show. Minimal actual character moving and plenty of voice acting makes the production value feel much higher than you would expect from a cartoon adaptation of this level. Animators are the same ones as the show, and the majority of the same voice actors worked on this game, as such, if your hankering for more Harvey Birdman on TV this might be your best bet in between waiting for new episodes. A lot of our favourite characters are here, Freezoid, Peanut, Potamus, Phil Ken Sebben, X the Eliminator, and of course Mentok the Mindtaker to name a few.

Controlling Harvey Birdman is a snap, as a game without time limits, action, or finesse really you can use the PSP, and PS2 analog stick to point and click on whatever you want to look at, pick up, or talk to. As well, selecting what to say can be as easy as pushing up or down then X. On the Wii however, you don’t even have to scroll, just point and click. It makes controlling around this title a lot faster, and feels more like a different experience than the average point and click adventure from the early 90’s. If you are deciding on your platform purchase based on control alone (as graphics, price and everything else are identical on all three), the Nintendo Wii is the only one of the three titles to offer a different layout.

I’m just going to flat out say it, Harvey Birdman is a short game, with the ability to beat it in a single sitting one evening, it still lasts much longer than the TV show normally would. But luckily with small playtime comes small price tag as all three versions go for an actual retail price of… $19.99, with many game stores having used copies for sale at a slightly lower price. Along with the five cases you can find and unlock five special video clips, which unless you unlock by accident aren’t really worth the effort to look for. As well, you could always go back and try other options just to see what the Birdman has to say.

All in all, if you’re a fan of Harvey and his crazy humor (I know I am), pick this game up immediately, a couple of hours working a McJob should pay for that. If you don’t like Harvey, or any of the other zany characters, hey, not every game is great for everyone. I enjoyed the game play, I enjoyed the humor and the variety of platforms it is available for is also greatly appreciated (on the go, old school, or alternative as I like to think of them). Unfortunately the game is pretty short, and I feel this title would have been a great episodic adventure to carry on into the years.

Graphics: 5.0 / 5.0 (while not amazing, look exactly like the show, couldn’t really get much better than that)
Game play 3.0 / 5.0 (point and click only, some mini-games would have been sweet)
Sound 4.5 / 5.0 (plenty of voice acting from show talent, and humorous to boot!)
Replay value 1.0 / 5.0 (you could finish it 100% in a weekend easily)

Matthew Fox’s Unlawful Ways

Is the man behind good guy doctor Jack Shephard really a bad boy?

“Lost” star Matthew Fox opened up about his history of misbehaving recently to Empire Magazine. “I break the law all the time!” he told the mag. “I’ve done plenty of illegal narcotics, but I think everyone knowingly breaks the law pretty often, don’t they? I can’t imagine living my life abiding by the law completely. That’d be tough to do.”

Fox says his wife shares in his habit of taking drugs. “My wife and I travelled to Jamaica 15 years ago. Oh God, it was a crazy trip! We stayed in this little bungalow out on the water, baked out of our minds for the first three days. We were just so stoned! And then we got sick and proceeded to continue to get stoned because that makes you feel better.”

Fox, 41, has two children.
