After nearly ten years away, Benjamin Bratt will resume his role as Det. Rey Curtis on Law & Order, reports Perez Hilton. The show, currently in its 20th season on NBC, has been slipping in ratings and was moved to Friday nights this year.

“Law & Order” could soon be taking its crime-fighting drama from the gritty back alleys of New York City to the mean streets of London.

NBC and L&O creator Dick Wolf are reportedly in talks with British firm Kudos Film & Television to produce a London version of the long-running series for the U.K.’s ITV network.

The series, tentatively titled “Law & Order: London,” would mark the first British version of the series, which has run for 18 years in the U.S. and given rise to two spin-offs, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

The British version of the show would also be the first English-speaking version of any series in the L&O franchise outside of the U.S.

Russia has its own local versions of “L&O: SVU” and “L&O: CI,” while France has its own version of “L&O: CI.”

The U.S. series has won an Emmy for outstanding drama and several Emmys for acting. It is TV’s longest-running crime series and is surpassed only by “Gunsmoke” as the longest-running drama series.

‘Law & Order’ Revolving Door Spins Again

After two years, Dennis Farina is set to leave NBC’s hit crime show “Law & Order”, Canadian Press reports.

Farina joined the cast in 2004 to replace Jerry Orbach, who left the show for another “Law & Order” spin-off, “Trial By Jury”, and died later that year. Farina played Detective Joe Fontana.

Farina isn?t the only cast member to leave “Law & Order” this season either.

Assistant district attorney Alexandra Borgia, played by Annie Parisse, was killed off in the season finale, which aired earlier this month.

“Law & Order” is known for its cast changes, which happen very frequently (and usually only with the assistant D.A.s) on the show.

A spokesperson for “Law & Order” did not reveal who would be replacing Farina and Parisse.
