It’s a celebrities-being-arrested kind of day.
TMZ reports that Flavor Flav was arrested in Las Vegas this weekend, after the ‘rapper’ was pulled over for a routine traffic violation, when the cop noticed there were four warrants out for his arrest.
Las Vegas cops say Flav, aka William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., was pulled over at 10:57 p.m. Friday night. When the cop ran Flav’s name in the system, he learned the rapper was a wanted man stemming from several prior brushes with the law.
According to law enforcement, Flav never settled up with the court in four separate automobile-related matters, including driving without proof of insurance, a parking violation and two cases of driving without a license.
Flav was taken to a nearby jail, where he was booked, posed for a brand new mug shot and was eventually released.
Yikes. Good luck, Flav.
The Queen of Pop is back at it again, ya’ll.
The forever-reigning pop star, rocked the crowd at the Palms Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas Friday night, to help promote her upcoming album Femme Fatale, which will undoubtedly be flying off of shelves when it is released this coming Tuesday.
The set, which was just a short 45 minutes, previewed three songs from the album, including “Hold it Against Me,” “Big Fat Bass,” and “‘Till The World Ends,” — a newly released single which has already climbed to #23 on Billboard’s Top 100 Charts.
It also included three short breaks for costume and set changes – during which none other than Jersey Shore’s Mr. DJ Pauly D, a resident DJ for the Palms, kept the crowd of roughly 1,500 Brit-lovers fired up.
Palms owner George Maloof told UsMagazine.com that, “Britney’s performances were unbelievable and her fans will never forget this night.”
Spears reportedly was not into conversing with the crowd though, keeping her comments to the traditional, “What’s up, Vegas? How you guys feeling? You guys having a good night?”
Understandable perhaps, considering the performance is the first public one Spears has done since her highly successful Circus tour in 2009.
The show, which was supposed to be a secret, but ended up being too juicy to remain quiet, was being filmed for an upcoming MTV special, that will air in conjunction with the release of her seventh studio album.
Brit even took to her Twitter page to tell fans, “Looks like my little secret isn’t a secret anymore… You’re all invited. Be there or be square b****!”
With boyfriend Jason Trawick, and father, Jamie Spears supporting the star from an exclusive VIP area, Spears took the stage with her backup dancers in a series of outfits, including a dazzling blinged-out bodysuit, and for the finale, a black bodysuit dotted with blinking red lights.
The mother of two ended the show with her newest single, “‘Till The World Ends,” proving with dance moves reminiscent of her “Slave 4 U” days, that Ms. Spears certainly still on top of her game.
In celebration of Eva Longoria’s 36th birthday on Tuesday, the recently-divorced actress went all out, throwing a 1920’s Flapper-themed birthday bash! Among attendees were Penelope Cruz and hubby Javier Bardem, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum, and Kanye West. Definitely sounds like a party!
Apprently Kardashian thought it was, because she took to her twitter, saying, “Me and my girl Heidi Klum getting [our] gangster on! I love this 20′s era!” How cute!

90s boy band star Nick Lachey will still be marrying fiancé Vaness Minnillo sometime in the near future, despite no visible signs of a wedding yet.
While hosting an event for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in Las Vegas, Nick opened up about future wedding plans.
“We’re getting there slowly but surely…we’re inching our way along. She looks as good if not better than any of the models you see behind me in a swimsuit,” Lachey explained.
And what better place to talk wedding plans than surrounded by scantily clad models in Vegas!

Bad news – Bruno Mars plead guilty to felony cocaine possession in a Las Vegas court room this morning. Good news – TMZ reports that if Mars keeps out of trouble for 12 months, the charge will be removed from his record.
TMZ reports Mars is also required to do 8 hours of private counseling and 200 hours of community service with a charitable organization. He must also pay a $2,000 fine, which he’s paying today .
As we reported in September, Bruno was caught doing coke in the bathroom of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Bruno Mars got his Las Vegas cocaine case taken care of on Friday. The 25 year old pop singer accepted a plea which allows him to pay a fine, serve probation and have a felony cocaine possession charge against him dismissed.
The case stems back to September 2010 when he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The cocaine was found on him after security at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino were alerted by a bathroom attendant that the singer was doing drugs in a stall.
Mars accepted a deal where he will pay a $2,000 fine, perform 200 hours of community service and complete drug counseling.
Interestingly, we interviewed Bruno shortly after his drug arrest. However, we avoided the issue of his pending drug trial. But we were nevertheless charmed by the “Just the Way You Are” singer.
Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil has plead guilty to DUI in Las Vegas, reports TMZ. It’s also very likely he will spend two weeks in jail.
Neil was pulled over by police in June. Officers found his blood alcohol level to be three times the legal limit. Neil’s plea deal includes 15 days in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, followed by 15 days of house arrest.
It will be interesting to see how he will do in jail.
Charlie Sheen has given up his suave charm for a more direct approach when it comes to picking up women. During his last week’s Las Vegas bender, Charlie was very direct when soliciting his female companions.
According to TMZ, Charlie sent the following email to an escort named Ginger from a website called CityVibe. It read as the following,

Charlie Sheen went on a huge bender this past weekend in Las Vegas, which included the company of three porn stars, reports TMZ. This has posed much concern for the well being of Charlie, including if he would make it back in time today to shoot “Two and a Half Men.”
The good news is Charlie is on his way back to L.A. to resume filming, although he will be late. He was seen leaving Las Vegas on a private jet at 9am local time. TMZ reports that certain people will be speaking with Charlie about his unstable behavior.

TMZ is reporting that world-champion boxer Floyd Mayweather is facing new charges on assault with a deadly weapon, after an incident in Las Vegas last weekend.
Quincey Williams, the alleged victim of the assault, filed a police report on Monday stating that Mayweather quickly made a u-turn in his Bentley and then attempted to run Williams off the road.
The Las Vegas Review Journal has discovered that one of Mayweather’s associates, Ocie Harris, was indicted on a charge for the attempted murder of Quincey Williams back in 2009. Coincidence? That’s for you to decide. Or more likely, the jury.

Socialite Paris Hilton pleaded guilty on Monday to two misdemeanors in her Las Vegas cocaine case, and because of that, she now has been denied entry into Japan.
PopEater reports that Japanese immigration authorities detained Hilton due to the charges and her pending sentence. Hilton was supposed to appear in Tokyo on Wednesday to promote her new fashion line, however that press conference has been cancelled. Hilton was forced to cancel the tour after she was denied entry into the country at Tokyo’s airport.
“I’m going back home, and I look forward to coming back to Japan in the future,” a smiling Hilton told reporters before departing on her private jet.
Singer/songwriter Bruno Mars was arrested early Sunday morning in Las Vegas for suspicion of narcotics possession.
Mars (whose real name is Peter Hernandez) was arrested at 2:40am at the Hard Rock Hotel when security confronted the singer in the bathroom where he was found with narcotics. There is no word on exactly what Mars had in his possession.
The much buzzed-about bachelorette party for singer Katy Perry has finally happened.
Radar Online reports that Perry and some close friends, including fellow artist and BFF Rihanna, took the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club in Vegas by storm this weekend. The partygoers proceeded to celebrate Katy’s engagement in the most rock star way possible…by, erm, sitting in the corner of the pool and smoking?

Following her arrest on Friday for cocaine possession, Paris Hilton has spoken to friends swearing that the cocaine found in her purse is not hers, but probably her girlfriend’s.
Sources tell TMZ that a friend had recently borrowed Hilton’s purse and “probably” put the cocaine inside.
Paris is telling friends, “I had no idea the cocaine was there. I swear on my life.”
She is also saying, “It could be a setup. Everyone knows how against cocaine I am.”

As andPOP reported yesterday, Cirque du Soleil, the popular circus troupe that does shows in practically every hotel in Vegas, announced that it is creating a show around Michael Jackson’s music.
However not everybody is supporting this idea. Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson’s father, is less than thrilled about the new show. “That’s something else, isn’t it?” Joe Jackson told PopEater when asked how he felt about his son inspiring a real-life circus. He added, “I won’t see it.”
On the other hand, Jackson’s mother Katherine supports the initiative. “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
The Jackson estate will own half of the project, with the Montreal-based performance company as their partner.
Now that he’s gone, it seems everyone wants a piece of Michael Jackson.
Cirque du Soleil, the popular circus troupe that does shows in practically every hotel in Vegas, announced earlier today that it is creating a show around Michael Jackson’s music, reports E!Online.com.
The show will, undoubtedly, follow the same style as the widely popular The Beatles: Love and Viva Elvis.
They said the show will start off with an arena tour in late 2011 and will be followed by a permanent residency in Las Vegas in 2010 at an MGM Mirage Inc. property. A nightclub with the same theme is due to open around the same time.
“Having attended Cirque du Soleil performances with Michael, I know he was a huge fan,” said Jon Branca, co-executor of the King of Pop’s estate, in a statement.
Jackson’s mother, Katherine, added, “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
The estate and the circus troupe will each own 50 per cent of the project, and share the production and development costs evenly.

PEOPLE reports that the Good Charlotte guitarist fought former MTV host Riki Rachtman in Las Vegas Saturday night for a celebrity bout.
The match only lasted one minute and forty seconds after Madden knocked down Rachtman three times and the ref stopped the fight.
“Benji Madden just kicked my ass,” Rachtman after the match. “I got wasted by the guy in Good Charlotte.”The victorious Madden responded, “That was the best backhanded congratulations I’ve ever gotten, but thanks anyways.”
The glamorous women of Sex and the City jetted to Las Vegas last night – well all of them, but one. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin David and Cynthia Nixon were all in Sin City to accept the honour of winning this year’s Ensemble Award at ShowWest, a movie industry convention, but Kim Cattrall was nowhere to be found, according to E! Online.
This time, it is not because of gossip or a feud, she was simply busy starring in a West End production of Noel Coward’s play Private Lives, in London.
The girls joked about her absence, and expressed their fondness to the smokin’ 53-year-old actress.
“We don’t like her, so she’s gone,” Parke joked backstage. “We’ve actually been emailing with her for the last three or four hours. The next time you see us, we will be complete.”
Nixon added, “We miss her.”
