Most of us know what it means to “ship” two people. It means you want two people to get together or stay together, whether said couple is in a show, book, movie, or real life. Popular ships on TV include Delena (Damon and Elena from Vampire Diaries), Klaine (Kurt and Blaine from Glee), and Ezria (Ezra and Aria on Pretty Little Liars). Real life people who also have been labelled with a “ship name” include “Monchele” (Cory Monteith and Lea Michele), ” Nian” (Nina Dobrev and Ian Somelhalder),” Brangelina” (no explanation neccesary) and even “Larry Stylinson.” Yes. Thats Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
We want to take a second to make it very clear that people who are “shipped” are not ALWAYS an item, it simply means people like the idea of the two together. It’s also common for two people who aren’t together – i.e. Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, to be “shipped.” It’s all in good fun and we get some hilarious and entertaining gifs and photoshopped (or as shippers call the photos, “manips”). Sometimes fans draw pictures of the real life subjects. I only wish I had that kind of time on my hands.

One Direction wants to “Kiss You” in their music video and you DEFINITELY want to kiss them back (or so we assume). What are we really saying? Be prepared to make out with your computer screen when you see their brand new video. In the Vaughn Arnell-directed video, the guys pay homage to The King of Rock himself, surfing, skiing, riding motorbikes and sailing.
Arnell, who’s the same mind behind “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things,” was inspired by Elvis movies like Blue Hawaii, Roustabout and Jail House Rock. They even don dapper vintage sailor suits. Oh captain my captain! Who would not be on a ship sailed by the boys?
Arnell told MTV the music video is different, and less location based like “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Live While We Are Young,” because it’s all done in studio. There are even some inception shots where we see the filming of the guys being filmed. So of course, this music video is packed with the boys’ awkward facial expressions and spastic hand gestures…was that supposed to be a fist pump Louis? It also seems Liam is pretty confused by the Macarena at one point. It’s okay, they make up for it with many shippable moments — Harry groping Zayn’s man-boobs and Zayn giving Harry a smooch. The boys themselves called the music video “pure stupidity.” Good public relation skills boys. Since they go shirtless, you get to relive that amazing sex-riot from that day they spent in Australia. Prepare to fangirl.

However, the moment that must have been most shameful was seeing this bitter tweet from Lindsay Lohan, who just doesn’t understand how justice is served these days.

Louis Tomlinson (if it really was Louis) had a mega Twitter rant last night, getting all sensitive about Larry Stylinson conspiracy theories. Basically, non-fans hatched these ridiculous rumors ages ago that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are in love with each other and have hired beards as girlfriends so they can stay in the closet. We’re totally confused about why someone would bother to tweet such an insensitive thing in the first place, especially to such a sweet person! Writing stories about your favourite boy band can be taken as a high form of flattery. But when the two members happen to date in them, things can get pretty awkward.
During an interview with Tumblr, Louis Tomlinson opened up about the difficulties he faces with his public life when asked if he ever feels pressure to live up to the “characters” his fans create through fan-fiction. A popular topic surrounding these stories often include him and fellow member Harry Styles, dubbing the pairing as “Larry Stylinson.”
“This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with as I am in a relationship,” said Tomlinson.
“Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move. It is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public: We want to joke around but there seems to be a different rumour every time we do anything. I act the same way with Harry as I do any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.”
While I’m not a big reader of fan fictions, I can imagine how weird it can get when it involves you and a close, platonic friend in a romantic relationship. Let’s just hope these fans don’t mix up their imaginations with reality!!
Most One Directioner’s have zoned-out daydreams about kissing their favourite member of the band, but recently the guys have taken to smooching each other. We’re not complaining, but we do feel semi-bad for Louis Tomlinson who’s been left out of all the kiss-fests so far.
First Zayn Malik laid a sloppy one on Liam Payne on the set of their “One Thing” video, causing the poor unsuspecting guy to jokingly faint of happiness (we would too — but for real).
Now Harry’s all up on Niall. Check them out singing “What Makes You Beautiful” around 0:35 when Harry shares the intimate moment with his bandmate — though to us it KINDA looks like he’s just whispering something. Apparently Larry Stylinson is so yesterday and it’s all about Narry now.
Was it a case of mistaken identity? Was that kiss actually meant for Louis the whole time? Harry’s got a lot of questions to answer.

Since we started in the X Factor house me and Louis had always said we wanted to move in together and that was pretty much it. It just kind of happened.”
