For all those people who fervently believe celebrities are in fact robots who don’t have any feelings, Jimmy Kimmel has a message for you. Pull up your pants, do some serious self reflection and STOP bullying people on Twitter. In fact, many celebrities do read your mean tweets and are hurt by them. If you insist on trolling because it’s in your genes or something, then at least use your real name.
Over the past little while, Kimmel has been rounding up celebrities like Justin Bieber, Kristen Stewart, Snooki, Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel, to read some of the mean tweets they received from the Twitterverse. Apparently Stewart was better as a boy and Snooki has a vagina as big as an ocean (unnecessary rumor control: neither of these are true).
Ultimately, I think it’s a good idea that Twitter and YouTube are encouraging people to buck up and use their real names so they can clean up the discourse. Here’s the test: if you wouldn’t post a comment with your real name, then it’s best no to post it at all!
Watch it here:
This is one of the most enticing interviews we’ve seen Larry King do in a long time. As we all know, CNN recently severed ties with Larry King and he’s looking for a new gig. In Larry’s would-be Animal KINGdumb KINGdom — a shoe-in program for Animal Planet — he asks animals the tough questions you want to know.
King asks a very unresponsive sloth whether he’s experienced a double standard in film and whether War Horse should have been called War Sloth. Then, he asks a tortoise when he first became sexually active.
The show looks promising, don’t you think? But really, I never realized King was so funny. If you’re teamed up with Jimmy Kimmel I suppose you’re bound to be.

The Muppets are back! Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang are ruling the Thanksgiving box-office this weekend and the world is officially in a nostalgic frenzy.
Before Jason Segel revamped the series, the adorable characters were famous in their own right. Their television program (1976-1981) featured a variety of celebrity cameos, from Alice Cooper to 007′s Roger Moore, in the final episode. It’s the family friendly programming that transcended generations. The franchise includes a seemingly endless stream of beloved films such as “The Muppets Take Manhattan,” “The Muppet Christmas Carol,” “Muppet Treasure Island,” “Muppets From Space” and “The Great Muppet Caper.” If this is all breaking news to you, then I highly recommend you check them out – or at least add it to your wish list this year.
Since legendary puppeteer Jim Henson created the Muppets in 1974, there has been an incredible assortment of Muppets appearances, performances and moments. Aside from the hilarious parody trailers and Saturday Night Live appearance recently, it felt appropriate to take a moment to reflect on the classics. We pulled together our favourite ten, let us know yours!
Bohemian Rhapsody (2009)In 2009, the gang released their rendition of Queen’s famous song. This viral video introduced this generation to “Bohemian” just like Mike Myers did with Wayne’s World.
Kermit Cycling (1979)
“Jolson sang, Barrymore spoke, Garbo laughed, and now Kermit the Frog rides a bicycle,” began Roger Ebert’s original 1979 review of “The Muppet Movie”. “If you can figure out how they were able to show Kermit pedaling across the screen, then you are less a romantic than I am: I prefer to believe he did it himself.” Muppet magic.
Larry King Live (1994)
Kermit and Gonzo guest-hosted the show with featured guests including supermodel Carol Alt and Hulk Hogan. Surprising that neither replaced King when he retired last year, but there’s still the hope for Regis-replacement.
(Day O) Banana Boat Song (1978)
Before Lil Wayne and Jason Derulo ruined the song, Harry Belafonte and Fozzie Bear’s collaboration was pure brilliance. Fozzie even asks the question that we all want to know, “What is a “Tally Man”?”
Keep Fishin’ (2002)
Weezer resurrected the Muppets from temporary obscurity for their music video off their fourth album, “Maladroit”.
Bennie And The Jets (1977)
Elton John became a reoccuring character in the late 70s, performing many of his songs including “Crocodile Rock” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. But it is the banter between Elton and Kermit during “Bennie” that defines his involvement. You could also see where Cee-Lo took a few notes.
Alice Cooper (1978)
As Gonzo declares him “the voice of doom,” this episode also guest starred horror film-icon Vincent Price and revolved around the theme of “ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the night.”
Buddy Rich VS. Animal (1981)
Two of the greatest drummers of all time face-off in this classic skit from the Muppet Show. Who won? You be the judge.
‘Treasure Island’ Roll Call (1996)
Directed by his son, Brian, this post-Jim Henson film is not the same – but it has it’s moments, like this one. Kermit’s Captain Abraham Smollet is introduced to his crew of “cutthroats, villains and scoundrels.”
The Rainbow Connection
Perhaps the greatest Muppets moment of all-time, the opening banjo strum is guaranteed to cause a lump in the throat. Covered by many, including Willie Nelson, Sarah McLachlan and Jason Mraz – enjoy!
Comedy Central’s Roast of Donald Trump supposedly crossed the line last week when Larry King referred to Anderson Cooper as a “she.”
Perez Hilton reports that while introducing Cooper, Larry King said “Let’s see what she’s up to.”
Oh come on! How old is Larry King? It was probably a major senior’s slip, considering he’s like a leathery bat-human hybrid at this point in his life! Plus that’s not even a good joke!
…oh wait, you say this was at a roast? So then it was definitely on purpose then because roasts are never funny even when they try to be.
You heard us! NEVER FUNNY! Donald Trump’s will be just as boring when it airs, so it’s no surprise that mysterious ‘controversy’ is bubbling up surrounding it! We don’t want to say ‘conspiracy theory’ but why else would anyone be watching?
That being said, that was not very LGBTQ friendly Mr. King! We don’t approve.
Ever noticed that over the past couple of years, Larry King has upped his fashion sense? And you may wonder who deserves the credit. Well it’s not his wife, but actually Ryan Seacrest.
Larry King appeared on Conan O’Brien last night as a guest, where the topic of his style came up in conversation. Larry said that Seacrest mails him jeans.
“Ryan Seacrest send you JEANS?!” Conan said, aghast. “Those are Ryan Seacrest’s jeans?!”
“No, he buys them I guess,” King responded, standing up and flaunting his wardrobe.”What do you mean: They’re not from his body! Maybe they are…”
“Maybe they are! Maybe he takes them off at night puts them in a FedEx envelope and you get them. Those are very Seacrest-y jeans, I’m telling ya.”
Well he has done a ton in the music world, now it’s time to try the political world. CNN reports that musician Wyclef Jean will announce his candidacy for the President of Haiti on Thursday’s edition of “Larry King Live.”
Other details are very sketchy at this time, but sources do confirm Wycelf’s appearance on the CNN show. There have been rumors circulating for months that he may run for President. He even wrote a song called “If I Was President.”
Wyclef was born in Haiti but moved to Brooklyn soon after. PopEater reports that to run for president, Jean must prove he’s resided in Haiti for five consecutive years, that he owns property in the country and that he has no other citizenship but Haitian
With Larry King taking his bow at CNN, everyone is wondering who will replace him. Ryan Seacrest is an obvious choice along with a couple of other candidates, but Larry has made it clear he doesn’t want Howard Stern taking his spot.
Larry told a reporter for Steppin’ Out magazine that Howard was the “least common denominator,” “worthless” and “tasteless.”
According to PerezHilton, Howard reportedly responded to these comments by telling friends, “It’s alleged he was banging his wife’s sister and he’s saying that I’m tasteless? He’s a frog … an imp and he’s the luckiest man in show business.”
These guys obviously have a history. Check out this Larry King interview from 1988. You can see there is some tension.
Extra TV is reporting that Simon Cowell has released some big news! According to Cowell, Piers Morgan from “America’s Got Talent” could be Larry King’s replacement on CNN.
“[Morgan] was under contract to us on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ so he called me and we helped sort of broker the deal,” Cowell said. “I knew about this weeks ago.”
Although there has been nothing officially announced about King’s replacement, Cowell is very confident in Morgan’s ability as an interviewer.
“Piers is without question the best interviewer I’ve ever been interviewed by… apart from you, Terri.” (He of course is referring to Terri Seymour who was interviewing him at the time).
However there is another candidate for Larry’s replacement who has a connection to Simon Cowell. That is of course Ryan Seacrest, who has stood in for Larry King a few times.
We feel that Seacrest would be a better fit. What do you think?
Larry King will be hosting a two hour telethon on CNN Monday night to raise funds for victims of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, reports Associated Press. The telethon will air 8pm to 10pm EST on a special edition of “Larry King Live.”
Many A-list stars are helping out on the telethon including: Justin Bieber Cameron Diaz, Lenny Kravitz, Randy Jackson, Ted Danson, Jenny McCarthy, Tim McGraw, Alyssa Milano, Robert Redford, Ian Somerhalder, Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Victoria Principal and Pete Wentz. Sting will perform as well. The guests will participate in person or via satellite.
Shawn King, Larry King’s wife, recently had a failed suicide attempt, reports TMZ.
Shawn left a hand written note explaining that she OD’d on purpose and also leaving instructions where she wanted to be buried.
Her father called 911 on May 28 at the King’s home in Utah telling 911 that his daughter was not waking up or responding.
Emergency workers found several empty prescription bottles — among them, Ambien and anti-anxiety meds.
Larry King has said publicly that their marriage is still intact.
Lady Gaga opened up to Larry King last night on his CNN program “Larry King Live.”
Gaga talked about every aspect of her career but there wasn’t too much said regarding her personal life.
In order to respect the CNN legend, Gaga mirrored Larry’s signature look, donning suspenders and black and white.
Maybe they rushed this whole divorce thing too quickly. Larry King and Shawn Southwick have put their divorce proceedings on hold, reports TMZ.
Larry’s lawyer Dennis Wasser tells TMZ, “Larry and Shawn met with the counselor today. It was decided that there will be no divorce activity for 2 weeks as several issues need to be discussed and resolved.”
Basically they are taking a 2 week timeout to see if they can come to a resolve their problems. So nobody is making a move right now.
Larry King are you kidding me? You have filed divorce from Shawn Southwick? Well maybe there is some logic and history to back up this move.
Larry King is a horny old man. No two ways about it. Although he is 76 years old and has had 20 million bypass surgeries, the man still has a sex drive. Although in our opinion Shawn Southwick is an attractive 50 year old lady, her sexual prime has past. Basically the lease is up on Shawn, and he has chosen to trade her in for a newer model.
Now it’s time for Larry to acquire a new wife. However it’s going to look really weird for a 76 year old walking around with a hot 30 year old woman. But Larry won’t care because he has official PIMP status.
We are not sure if this is cute or just funny. Anyways thanks TMZ.
Well Carrie is a beautiful girl, no two ways about it. But is she smart and media savvy? Well, no and maybe. No because she didn’t know how to handle a question by Larry she didn’t like. Maybe because although she looked like a complete fool, everybody is posting and talking about this video. Perhaps this will help with her book sales (which is why she was on Larry King)? Have a look and tell us what you think.
Talk-show host Larry King’s company, Larry King Enterprises, and his driver and are being sued over a fender bender that happened in November 2008, reports TMZ. The two plaintiffs are suing for in excess of $50,000 in damages for injuries they allegedly suffered in the accident.
“This is a completely frivolous and fraudulent lawsuit,” said King’s wife, Shawn Southwick. “There was zero damage to both cars. Our driver has an excellent record and is extremely responsible. At the time of the incident, the people got out of the car, and they were completely fine. Our driver checked to see if they were okay. We have witnesses who will confirm that. They exchanged insurance information, and as soon as they saw Larry King Enterprises, they decided to go for what they assumed are deep pockets. These people went to an ambulance chaser for an attorney, and as though they were filling out a form to get the maximum amount of money they could, checked off every box possible. In return, they will be on the receiving end of a big, fat lawsuit.”
A court date is scheduled for December.
Ok I agree this story is getting a little tired (no offense to Michael Jackson) but did anybody else just feel awkward watching this interview? And I can’t comment if Joe Jackson beat Michael or not, however I am sure Joe Jackson is not all there. Additionally anybody else notice Larry King is starting to act more like TMZ than CNN?
Whatever Pamela Anderson’s secret is, she needs to share.
The blonde bombshell announced on “Larry King Live” this week that her doctor had announced her to be completely healthy.
“I’m doing really good,” she said. “Actually, I just went to my doctor, Dr Huizenga. He took all my blood work and went through all my tests. And I hadn’t really been to him in a year-and-a-half. And he said he’s never seen me healthier.
“That, he said, it’s a miracle. You know, I don’t really work out a lot. I walk and play sports with my kids. But he says, ‘You’re in the best shape I’ve ever seen you in. You’re 40 years old and your liver is in great shape, all your blood work came back really well, low cholesterol.’”
The news is amazing as Anderson has Hepatitis C. In 2003, she said that she was not expected to live more than 15 years because of the disease.
So what is Anderson doing to take care of herself? “I’m… treating it homeopathically… But I’m doing really what he (the doctor) told me… He thinks that me being vegetarian really helps me staying in such good shape.”
Dr Jan Adams, the surgeon who operated on Donda West before her tragic death, has now become one of Larry King’s most memorable guests. And the doctor was on the show for mere minutes.
Adams walked off the famous set of Larry King Live just minutes after he sat down to talk to the late night host about the events leading up to and following the death of Kanye West’s late mother. King said the walk-off was one of the strangest things he had ever seen, MTV News reports.
Dr. Adams maintains he was respecting the wishes of the West family who requested the surgeon not discuss the operation or any complications publicly.
“I want to thank you for this opportunity,” MTV News says Adams told King. “Basically, I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren’t accurate about me … But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family.”
It was revealed that before the taping Adams was faxed a letter from the West family that threatened to request that the Medical Board of California decertify the doctor if he talked about the case on the show. Adams reportedly met with his lawyer moments before going on air.
Just as the show started, Adams took off his microphone and said, “I’m going to apologize to you because I think I’m taking up your airtime, but I will not be on the show and I will not discuss any of that. I’m going to honor their wishes.”
The veteran talk show host seemed stunned and then asked, “Will you ever answer questions … Where does this go?” Adams briefly replied and continued to leave. King made one last attempt to save the interview by asking the doctor if he wanted to speak out to clear his own name.
Adams removed his earpiece and answered simply, “No … I do not.”
Donda West was 58 when she died suddenly on November 10 after undergoing cosmetic surgery by Adams. Her funeral was held Tuesday in Spencer, Oklahoma.
