Laina the Overly Attached Girlfriend is probably making a pretty sweet living off her obsessive character considering she’s now doing ads for Samsung. In a new webcam-style video Laina promotes the SSD 840 by creepily singing about her obsessive relationship with her estranged computer. The SSD will change all the troubles she’s having apparently.
If you don’t remember, Laina rose to Internet stardom after entering the Justin Bieber “Girlfriend” contest. Since then, she has become a well known Internet meme and has made guest appearances in online sketch comedies.
While some people are calling her a sellout, others are defending her, claiming she needs to make a living. I’m torn. While I was originally disappointed, everybody has to earn money to support themselves — this is just one of the more visible ways to do it.

I thought the Overly Attached girlfriend played by Justin Bieber-obsessed Laina was the creepiest thing I’d seen, but the Overly Attached Joker just bumped it up a few levels. Batman’s joker found a fan of Laina’s dressed up as the YouTube sensation and harassed him, trying to figure out where to find her.
The Joker tied the dude to a chair and videotaped the interrogation. The Joker is so obsessed with Laina he has a shrine dedicated to her, complete with a life size cardboard cutout and a photo montage. He joked Laina must turn herself in and every day she doesn’t a fan will die.
His impression of The Joker is pretty spot on and you probably won’t sleep tonight, especially if you’re a Laina fan. [via Reddit]

Remember Laina, the Overly Attached Girlfriend who submitted the creepiest video entry for Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend contest? She’s kind of a big deal. Several popular videos have spawned off from the first, including her strange message to Carly Rae Jepsen and a fan Q&A.
Her latest video is a look into her disturbing behaviour after a first date with YouTube star LifeAccordingToJimmy. Laina indulges in the obsessive behaviour we’d expect from her, including buying the dude clothes, breaking into his high school to find his home address, making unexpected visits and carrying a threatening-looking knife with her. You’d think after seeing all the Internet memes created about her, he’d have better sense than to go out with her.
All I know, is when you’re breaking up with Laina, it’s a matter of life and death. The safety concerns are numerous and if you say the wrong thing, it could be the END OF YOU.
