Pop star NICK LACHEY harboured a secret crush on BAYWATCH beauty CARMEN ELECTRA at school, hailing the actress “the subject of my boyhood affections.”

Electra and Lachey both attended Cincinnati’s School For Creative And Performing Arts, but Electra admits she can’t recall Lachey from her former classroom days.

She tells the New York Daily News, “I don’t actually remember him in school, because he’s a couple of years younger than I am. It’s so funny! (But) I’m really proud of him, and I always have to root for the hometown boys.”

Despite Electra’s high school put-down, Lachey is still full of praise for the actress.

He says, “She was always kind of the subject of many young boys’ admiration when I was in school, and I was certainly one of those boys. She didn’t become good looking late in life; she’s always been good looking.”

JESSICA SIMPSON’s ex-husband NICK LACHEY has proposed to his girlfriend VANESSA MINNILLO, according to press reports in the US.

The engagement comes just over a year after Lachey, 33, and Simpson, 26, announced they were divorcing.

A source tells American publication the National Enquirer, “They’re moving forward with plans for an April wedding.

“Since they both love Baja, Mexico, it will probably happen south of the border, where they first fell in love.”

The couple were first photographed together on a romantic holiday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last June.
