Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes gave Sunday Rose Kidman Urban a present, reports People magazine.

Although reports have said that Cruise gave ex-wife Nicole Kidman “a room full of flowers,” the actor and his family actually sent a huge baby basket to Nashville.

The welcome gift included chenille Giraffe baby blankets, items from the Hermes baby line and other newborn necessities.

Kidman gave birth to her daughter at a Nashville hospital last Monday.

“We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl,” the new parents told People. “She’s an absolute delight.”

Hollywood star NICOLE KIDMAN is reportedly expecting her first child, having undergone months of fertility treatment to help in her quest to become a mother.

The MOULIN ROUGE actress – who has two adopted children from her marriage to TOM CRUISE – is said to be delighted at the news, because she and husband KEITH URBAN have been trying for a child since they wed in June last year.

A friend of the couple tells Australian magazine Women’s Day, “Nicole and Keith are having a baby. They’ve been riding on clouds since they got the news.

“Nicole’s been hoping for this day since they got married. Everyone knows she’s been aching to have a baby. It’s all she’s been talking about for ages.”

Kidman and her husband KEITH URBAN spent 20 minutes in “animated conversation” with the TOP GUN star and his new bride KATIE HOLMES.

According to Sydney, Australia’s Daily Telegraph, the meet-and-greet between the celebrity couples caused a stir at the exclusive post-Oscars party and was watched intently by the VIP crowd.

Urban skipped the trip up the red carpet with his wife, but the Aussie couple presented a united front in their first big industry outing since his treatment for alcoholism last year.

A tanned and healthy-looking Urban was all smiles by his wife’s side, as the couple prepare to head home next month for his national tour and her new movie.

Hollywood star NICOLE KIDMAN is to make a cameo appearance in cosmetic surgery drama NIP/TUCK, playing a nose job patient.

Show creator RYAN MURPHY met the actress when he was recently recruited to direct her in new movie NEED – and she took the opportunity to beg him for a bit part in Nip/Tuck.

Murphy says, “I was talking to Nicole recently and she said, ‘I want you to write me a part in Nip/Tuck.’ So I think I’m going to write a part where she comes in and she’s wearing that VIRGINIA WOOLF (in THE HOURS) nose. She’s hilarious and I love her.”

Oscar winner NICOLE KIDMAN was taken to hospital last night after being involved in an accident on the set of her latest film, THE INVASION, in downtown Los Angeles.

The actress was filming a scene in which she was driving a Jaguar, trying to escape zombie-like characters who were hanging off the hood, when the accident happened.

The vehicle was being towed by a rig in order to give the appearance that the actress was actually driving the car. The stunt driver operating the rig lost control while turning a corner, causing Kidman’s car to hit a pole and knock over a garbage can.

The actress and her co-star, 10-year-old JACKSON BOND, who was riding in the passenger seat, were both wearing seatbelts.

Members of the crew immediately wrapped a blanket around Kidman and paramedics arrived to check the actress for injuries.

The 39-year-old star was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center and was released within two hours.

According to American publication Us Weekly, the actress was in shock and took a long break, but eventually resumed filming later that night.

Her husband, KEITH URBAN, and 11-year-old son CONNOR CRUISE, were reportedly on set with her at the time of the accident.
