Kevin Zegers To Get ‘Frozen’

“Transamerica” star Kevin Zegers will battle the snowy wilderness in the upcoming survival movie “Frozen.”

The Canadian actor has signed on to play a snowboarder who gets stranded on a chairlift on a New England mountain, along with his best friend (fellow Canuck actor Shawn Ashmore) and his girlfriend (Emma Bell).

With the slopes shut down for the weekend, the trio must survive an impending winter storm and a hungry pack of wolves.

Adam Green, whose credits include the 2007 slasher film “Hatchet,” will direct from his own script.

The movie begins shooting next week in Utah.

Besides “Transamerica,” Zegers has appeared in such movies as “The Jane Austen Book Club” and the 2004 remake of “Dawn of the Dead.”

He was recently cast as Clyde Barrow in the indie film “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” in which Hilary Duff will play the other half of the infamous bank-robbing duo.

New Bonnie And Clyde Cast?

Hilary Duff and Canada’s own Kevin Zegers could soon be the new faces of Bonnie and Clyde.

According to Reuters, the pair are in negotiations to star in an indie drama about the infamous 1930s bank robbers.

“The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” will be directed by Tonya S. Holly, who says the project should not be considered a remake and will feature never-before-seen periods of the outlaws’ lives.

The fugitive lovers have been the subject of several movies in the past, including the 1967 classic “Bonnie and Clyde” starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

Holly’s film is slated for a 2010 release.

Duff, 21, recently appeared in the action-comedy “War, Inc.,” while Zegers, 24, has starred in such films as “Fifty Dead Men Walking” and “Transamerica.”
